Ice storm last night and tomorrow night they are talking about tornado's. Only in Indiana.

been hearing today about tornado warnings in Georgia this morning...is this not unusual for this time of the year?

Well just about to log off for the night,just wanted to tell everyone goodnight and I will talk to y'all tomorrow. I hope we don't loose power,it seems we do everytime it rains now a days,we are about an hour away from some strong storms. I need the rain though,me and the family are going to watch tv tonight and in the morning I take mom and sis to the airport,I have enjoyed the visit so much,I look forward to June when they come back hopefully this time with dad!! Have a good night everyone!

I'm not sure about Georgia but it's unusal for Indiana. We usually don't see them until the end of march. We should be getting snow right now not severe storms.

thanks, that is what I thought. It is also unusual for us to have hardly any snow in January. We have not really had winter yet, a day here and there of snow and then it quickly disappears.

my sister and her hubby are great fans of basketball and are often at games all over the place.

Well my dear friends, I am mighty embarrassed... I will be sending out the Christmas cards on Monday. Hope you guys aren't upset I feel bad that they're now more like valentines versus Christmas greetings!!! Ahh *sigh* :/

On that note, thank you to everyone that I received cards from, they're all beautiful!! In fact I still have them out, along with my Christmas tree

Just read that Penn State's Joe Paterno is dying right now, he is said to be in extremely grave condition.

This makes me sad as I am a student there.

I am so sorry, praying for Mr.Paterno xo

watching storage wars, interesting what they find in those things. They never really talk about how many they actually buy before they actually make any money or even how much they really make, not what things are worth if they sold them.

for some reason, I just keep watching it anyway! Now they are pulling out old cigarette cases (they paid over $3,000 for this unit!) Must be nice to have money to blow like that.

anyone here like putting together puzzles? A friend dropped off about 10 boxes of them here today. We have done one already and working on another. We just set it up on a table and everyone works together on it whenever they feel like it. Sometimes it is quick, other times they can be up of a couple of weeks before it gets done.

Christmasstar: I love doing jigsaw puzzles! I have been buying them at thrift stores because the ones I like to do, the 1000 piece Charles Wysocki ones, are rather expensive. The CW puzzles are harder for me to do in one day - and I have to do them in one day because the cats find them irresistible. My dogs always did, too, come to think of it. Rufus used to "help" me out by eating the pieces I dropped :grin:

The Weather Channel posted a map on FB of tomorrow's severe weather areas - lots of red down south. Stay safe, friends!!!

There are tons of crochet instruction videos on YouTube. You might want to get a "how to" book at a craft store, then see the YouTube videos for demonstrations. Sometimes craft stores will have crochet classes. I learned partly from my mom and partly from books. It's not terribly difficult or mysterious---I find it easier than knitting. Give it a whirl!
