That IS funny!!!

This has been the most entertaining hour and a half of my life.

My brother got off of work early so he called me to meet up with him at a flower shop so that we could make an arrangement for my mom. So we both get there, they say they are open, but they are closed. There is another flower shop a few minutes away, so we go into this little town to find it and we ended up getting lost and driving around in loops and circles all over the place for 45 minutes. We finally find the place and walk inside, and the lady is sitting there at a table just staring at us like we are aliens. In a real snippy tone she goes, "Can I help you?" and we were like, "Yes, we'd like an arrangement made for our mom." And she goes "What do you want??" We were like "Flowers...pink and blue?" and she yells back "I CAN'T HELP YOU NOW WHAT DO YOU WANT?" Like hello, what do you think we want - an order of fries with that? It's a flower shop so I'm pretty sure we want flowers. LOL. Anyways, we ended up going to a grocery store that sells flowers and picked some pretty ones out and made our own arrangement.

Such a funny experience. Mom is on her way home now!

As I recall it was BINGER who hosted Carl once upon a time that taught him how to drive and JayIsh taught him how to play cards and dance while Crown taught him how to walk a dog. O'Malley the cat and Carl got along well when he visited here. This is the place where he discovered he was a poet.

I think MMC is falling apart! Everyone is getting hurt or sick. I have been falling apart too! =)

Late yesterday afternoon my stomach was hurting so bad that I was doubled over. When stuff like that happens I say, "It must have been something I ate". It's a joke because I am a health fanatic about eating. I should just go back to processed foods and junk! Ha ha! The healthy stuff is killing me!!!!!! Ahhhhhh! I really have no idea what was going on but I feel better today.

I am ready for The Pines!!! Double up the Fired Twinkies for me! The healthy stuff is making me sick.

Just resting right now, I have got a few things to do around the house, my wife is having an Open House for her Mary Kay side business on Friday. Watching another 80's classic, the original Griswold flick National Lampoon's Vacation. I have started eating like normal again, and I am hungry now so I must find something to eat.

Glad to hear you have your appetite back, Xmas!! Eat away & enjoy it!

I have to laugh at my husband, he's had a cold lingering for almost 2 weeks, now. And he finally had a normal appetite last week, he's been eating junk everyday! McDonald's, Taco Bell, Burger King, In & Out...says the salt helps his throat?! Whatever :wink: He could just gargle w/ salt water!! Makes me laugh at his logic.

My mom's surgery just finished up, all went well. The surgery went quicker than anticipated. She has to stay until the early evening so they can monitor her, but then she can come home!

I am so thankful for all of your good thoughts and prayers for her because they got answered. Now hopefully this is the last time I had to complain to you guys, because I am sure you're all sick of hearing it!!

I'll be bringing daiquiris for all to the Pines!

Hope all is good and you all slept well
The start of another month. jan went so fast which is a good thing.
Weather is dry yes dry but cold
Not a lot to do today as have a new system and it seems to work.
I now bring 2 pallets in on a monday and 2 in a thursday and with the help we have we stay to all is done.
Seems to work good but next week its gonna be 2 and 3 pallets
Did not sleep to good last night think it must have been 4 befour i fell over. this morning my thoat is burning out of me and think one side of my thoat is swollen as it is hard to swallow and am talking like a man lol lol

Just crawled back into bed after wishing my mom good luck for her surgery. I do not have class until later so I am going to attempt to fall back asleep (which I doubt will happen). I hope you all have a good morning and those of you who drive to work or have somewhere to go today, be safe!! I apologize for any typos or how this post may look I am exhausted and my iPod Touch is going ballistic! It is only 6:30 AM here (haven't been up this early since high school lol!). Talk soon - remember it is hump day, so Friday is fast approaching! Someone bring me some strawberry daiquiris to the Pines!!!!

My mom just sent me a text and told me that the town the hospital is in is all lit up with Christmas lights! How pretty!! Hopefully it made her smile since today is nerve-wracking for her. Obviously still cannot sleep - ugh!

Today was kind of a long day..work stress, office politics, etc. I keep saying, is it Friday yet?! One bright spot was that my husband brought flowers by for me =) He's a gem.

What are you all up to tonight?

We are laying low, watching tv, and playing with Harlowe. It's always nice to have that time to catch up on each other's day.

I miss Christmas so! It amazes me to hear that some of you are still seeing Christmas lights throughout your towns and neighborhoods. That's awesome! I wish I did!! It's gone here in a heartbeat, wasn't any real Christmas Clearance to browse this year, either. Wrong town for a Christmas lover, lol.

Well, now I'm rambling so I'll sign off. Sweet dreams.

A busy person who travels from place to place quickly and seems to be everywhere at once would be "ubiquitous" (You can thank Charles Dickens for that one. I picked it up in "The Chimes". As Mr. Dickens described the family servant; "Her ubiquity was amazing.).

I am exhausted so I think it is time for me to hit the hay. I have been awake since 6:00 AM which is super early for me considering I haven't been up that early since high school. My mom is home and she is in a lot of pain. They have her neck all bandaged up so the drainage tube doesn't show, it seriously looks like she has a neck brace on. She and I do not like anything touching our necks/throat at all, so I can only imagine how she is dealing with it. She said she just wants to rip it off. I am surprised because she said it is much harder to drink than it is to eat - I thought it would be the opposite! Aside from the discomfort/sore throat/soreness in general, she is doing alright!

I hope you all have a great night! Tomorrow I plan on lighting a Christmas tree scented candle when I watch TV for the night - I miss Christmas so much!

I couldn't help myself, I listened to a couple of carols this evening. Ever since my mom mentioned seeing Christmas lights this morning, it really made me miss the holidays.

There's a Live365 app for Kindle Fire, which runs a version of Aneroid, and there's the radio app RJD mentioned. Wish I could find a Fire app that will play MCR2.
