I am assuming that any word we come up with should have an original twist to it the way Carl does? The words he comes up with are "excellentio"!

His words so far have been: indeedio, coffeeo and a few others I don't remember at this moment. So far he has an "o" added to the end of his words. That can change at any moment!

I this one too!!!!

If any one wants an Elephant, The Indianapolis Zoo put Tombi up for sale shortly after his super bowl prediction earlier today

Bad elephant, bad, LOL
"Excellentio".
I like it!
(So does Carl)

LOL

Reverse that for here: it was 76° when I went to lunch!

You are so lucky, but we weren't too bad either it was 61 in NYC yeah boy!!!!

Carl will be there soon himself had to hitch a ride his car has broke down!!!!!!

camel_character-0001.jpg

Who is his mate, what's all this about car trouble, likely story, I bet he was over in Indy trying to get into the Press box to get a real interview of the two Q B's I think he is trying to throw us off track.

Well I'm going to take a break from all of the craziness here in town and head to the Pines. See Y'all There!!!!!!!!!

Carl always seems to have carl trouble...er...I mean car trouble!

As I recall it was BINGER who hosted Carl once upon a time that taught him how to drive and JayIsh taught him how to play cards and dance while Crown taught him how to walk a dog. O'Malley the cat and Carl got along well when he visited here. This is the place where he discovered he was a poet.

Ode from a Camel (As told to Auntie Mistletoe from Carl the Camel by way of a Camel Whisperer)

The obvious plan
To frolic wherever I can.
To dream and to be
To dance ‘cause I’m free
To travel around
Where caffeine is found
To socialize with friends
Where the fun never ends
That is the obvious plan.

This is a poem I can set my motto too, love it thx AMD

This is another song I made up that I'm not all that fond of, but as a migraine sufferer, I felt that it offered the best reason why Santa had a problem with Rudolph's glowing red nose.

In case you need the tune

The Shiny Nose Reindeer (An explanation of why Santa teased Rudolph) Based on the lyrics to “The Most Beautiful Girl” By: Charlie Rich (Norris Wilson, Billy Sherrill & Rory Rourke)

Hey, did you happen to see the most shiny nose in the world?
And if you did was it Rudolph - Rudolph?
Hey, if you happen to see the most shiny nose, that will guide my sleigh
Tell him I love him, tell him the children love him
Oh, won’t you tell him, we all care.

I woke up this morning, and realized I’d laughed at him
I wasn’t alone, others were teasing him too
I knew he’d leave, I knew he’d not want to stay
Now comes the heartache that a winter blizzard brings
I know I was wrong, I couldn’t see from the shining
I let my migraine pain chase him away.

Hurry home Rudolph if you dare
I need you in a hurry, we’re all so worried
There you are, we see you comin’
Thanks, Rudolph you’re shiny nose is charming
Welcome back just in time to guide my sleigh
Hey, you’re a unique reindeer and we’ll never tease you again.

Wow, these are so cool

Here's one of my favourites - it gets stuck in my head more than the original version does. HaHaHoHo!

In case you need the beat

Christmas! Christmas! By: Auntie Mistletoe
Sung to the tune and based on the lyrics of Iko Iko performed by: The Dixie Cups (By: James Crawford Jr. / Rosa Lee Hawkins / Barbara Anne Hawkins / Joan Marie Johnson)

Mama Elf and Papa Elf
Were sittin’ by the fire
Chatting ‘bout Christmas wishes
What’s your child’s desire

Talking ‘bout Christmas! - Christmas!
Ho-Ho Ha Hee-Hee
Sippin’ hot cocoa with Santa & Mrs. C
All the elves’ children and me

Christmas smells and Christmas bells
All share a common glee
Sharing the joys of Christmas
All ‘round the Christmas Tree

Talking ‘bout Christmas! - Christmas!
Ho-Ho Ha Hee-Hee
Sippin’ hot cocoa with Santa & Mrs. C
All the elves’ children and me

See the snowman in the yard
He’s painted green and gold
There’s a special celebration on the way
It’s Christmas I am told.

Talking ‘bout Christmas! - Christmas!
Ho-Ho Ha Hee-Hee
Sippin’ hot cocoa with Santa & Mrs. C
All the elves’ children and me

See Santa all dressed in red
Climbing into his sleigh
Gonna start his deliveries
As long as the wee ones are in bed

Talking ‘bout Christmas! - Christmas!
Ho-Ho Ha Hee-Hee
Sippin’ hot cocoa with Santa & Mrs. C
All the elves’ children and me

Ho-Ho Ha Hee-Hee
All the elves’ children and me
Live radio show being recorded at the Pines tonight! Really, I'm editing together a Shispering Pines edition of the 'Mistletoe Mix' for MCR as we converge! Plenty of dance and get well/do well/cope tunes for all! Tribute tunes to Etta James & Johnny Otis as well!

I'll upload the show for the schedulers (JayIsh & Jeff) in a bit. I have no idea when/if it will air on MCR or MCR-2.

Stay tuned!
Thanks for the heads up RJD
I am exhausted so I think it is time for me to hit the hay. I have been awake since 6:00 AM which is super early for me considering I haven't been up that early since high school. My mom is home and she is in a lot of pain. They have her neck all bandaged up so the drainage tube doesn't show, it seriously looks like she has a neck brace on. She and I do not like anything touching our necks/throat at all, so I can only imagine how she is dealing with it. She said she just wants to rip it off. I am surprised because she said it is much harder to drink than it is to eat - I thought it would be the opposite! Aside from the discomfort/sore throat/soreness in general, she is doing alright!

I hope you all have a great night! Tomorrow I plan on lighting a Christmas tree scented candle when I watch TV for the night - I miss Christmas so much!

Glad to read your mom is doing alright I hope her healing goes quickly, and I love listening to Christmas music it always lifts my mood

I always feel better after listening to some Christmas music myself hope you were able to get some sleep

I couldn't help myself, I listened to a couple of carols this evening. Ever since my mom mentioned seeing Christmas lights this morning, it really made me miss the holidays.
I am glad your mom is home, hopefully her recovery is quick. Christmas music always makes me feel better.

good a.m. ya'll, my mc family.
last evening was a not so good one. my son came home from class saying there's still the issue w/ his tuition & the computer has booted him back out of the system. uurrgghh. we thought it was taken care of 3 weeks ago but....not.
the man over admissions called last night & talked to him & is giving him a 30 day extension & he can still go to class but has to get all his prof. to sign this paper again saying he's been in class.some of you may remember me telling ya'll he went through this a couple weeks ago. as soon as our taxes come in we will pay it.
we are an avg. family & do not have lots of extra $. our son needs another car to go to school next fall in a town over & his is terrible on gas. the $ we were getting was going to him another car & daughter a car w/ whatever he makes off selling his going on the other also. (no we're not getting a big return just cheap cars) anyhoo i felt so bad for him last night because he knows if we pay the tuition we can't get him the car. he's scrambling trying to figure out something, he's going back to financial aid this morning to see if there's anything. as a mom it breaks my heart, i wish we had the extra $. i keep thinking this will help him become more aware of how things work & how important it is to get things done on your own but as a mom....ya'll know what i mean right?
please say a prayer all works out today for him.

Yay! You're the best!
Today was kind of a long day..work stress, office politics, etc. I keep saying, is it Friday yet?! One bright spot was that my husband brought flowers by for me =) He's a gem.
That is very sweet of him!!!

So very sorry to hear about your mom. Before I turned on my computer this morning I said a prayer for her. I would think they would have kept her overnight to give her iv drip of pain meds. I hope she is not hurting as bad today.

I don't know if this is nationwide news but yesterday evening I heard a loud boom which scared the crud out of me. I jumped up and looked out my window and didn't see anything going but thinking something blew up. Then 9:00 news came on and said the police department got a lot of calls about a bright light in the sky and a loud boom. I didn't see the light, I only heard the boom. They confirmed it was a meteor. Dang! It was loud!

It reminds me of the time the space shuttle blew up over Texas. That shook my apartment. I had no idea what it was until I heard the news later. That was sad.

Good morning,

It's GROUNDHOG DAY! [youtube_browser]Nt4JXKUv5MQ&feature=related[/youtube_browser]

I have a number of things to do today, got to get the car inspected, lovely Mass. state law, got to get my haircut, and do a few more things, at least I get to be out of the house for a bit today. I must start my day, I already dropped the demons, err, um, I mean boys off at daycare early so I can get everything done here. I just heard there is some sort of big football game this weekend, I am so outta touch. Of course that is all they are talking about up here, and I saw one of the Boston sports reporters interviewing some people from Indianapolis about their feelings on the Pats being in the SB, lets just say there seems to be a lot of venom about it. GO COMMERCIALS!!!! Go Bruins!!

Have a great Pines Hangover Recovery Day!

Good Morning, my Over-the-Hump Comrades.

Yes Sirs, Madames and Indeterminates.
The peak has been passed and we have hit the downgrade toward another Weekend.
The first weekend of February 2012.
(My. My. The year has barely begun and already it's slipping away!)

Well, a great time was had by all at the 'Pines yesterday.
Carl says it was simply Excellentio!
(And he wishes to thank Christmas-A-Holic for his new superlative word of the week!)

To the count, my friends:
Days to the Season: 285
Days to Christmas Day: 327
TOMORROW!! -- Single digits to the 25 percent Season mark!

Still wamer yet, where we have started a damp, cloudy morning at 56 degrees here in the capital city.
Nice for me walking the dog.
Not quite so nice for the dog with his heavy coat!
Had a little rain last night.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks -- in the spirit of the Season!

Oh yeah! I forgot it's Groundhogs Day. My niece lives down the block from the library where Punxsutawney Phil is. She has never attended the big event though.

Nova Scotia's Shubenacadie Sam predicts early spring.
Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil predicts 6 more weeks of winter.
Ontario's Wiarton Willie predicts an early spring.
2 out of 3 wins, early spring this year.
(not that we had much of a winter yet)
