If It Were Christmas!![]()
By: Auntie Mistletoe (adapted from Topo’s - If I Were A Rich Man from: Fiddler on the Roof)
If it were closer to Christmas
Daidle, deedle, daidle, digguh,
Digguh, deedle, daidle, dum
All day long, I’d decorate my home
If it were closer ho, ho, hum.
Wouldn’t have to trim the tree much
Daidle, deedle, daidle, digguh,
Digguh, deedle, daidle, dum
I’d bake some cookies and pies
Hang the lights like stars in the skies.
I’d build a big tall snowman with a top hat
And all sorts of thrills and things like that
A fine broomstick and perhaps a friend
Who knows where the mistletoe be at
I’d fill my yard with ferris wheels, festive wooden soldiers
A Christmas village and a Nativity - perhaps
I’d build one snow fort for the grandkids to play in
It’d be warm with hot cocoa to serve and gingersnaps
I wouldn’t have to wait much
Santa would be arriving soon
I would wrap gifts by the dozen
Right in the middle of the living room
With ribbons and bows and pretty paper
And special festive tags to match
The people in the town would come to me and wonder
Where’d she get the Christmas spirit from - ours seem under wrap
And how’d she manage to play music from her computer
Piping it out in the streets for all to hear while trying to nap
And amazingly they’d gaze at the revolving Merry-Go-Round
Taking them back to childhood joys and awe
I would watch Christmas movies all night
Daidle, deedle, daidle, digguh
Digguh, deedle, daidle, dum
This would be the sweetest thing of all

Pay no attention to the cat giggling in the corner. It's just O'Malley.
It's early, but I have to head off - I have to pack for Hollywood.
Happy slumbers - have fun at the Pines!

Dr. tells me 2 more weeks out of work, but it IS healing!
I am that way too, fretting over what might happen, loosing sleep. You would think we could learn that it all works out in the end!Good morning all! It is 44F outside this morning,I just noticed that sat night we will get down to 29F which is like only the 9th night this winter we have been below freezing..I will take it and may even run the fireplace and watch some Christmas movies. I have been awake since 3 so I decided to beat the alarm clock at 4. I am running scenarios through my mind about all the questions the judge or the Lawyers will ask me on tuesday. I need to just chill out and tell myself not to worry about it! If only it were that easy!!! Oh well,it looks like fun was had by all last night at the pines, maybe next weds night I will be able to attend! Hope everyone has a great Friday Eve! I better push off to the gym soon so I can make it to work by 7!! good day!

Testifying in court can really get on the nerves, will pray all goes well.
Hang in there! That kind of stuff makes me very nervous. I have never had to do anything like this but I know I would worry too. Once you get there and get started on the whole thing you will probably feel better.I am running scenarios through my mind about all the questions the judge or the Lawyers will ask me on tuesday. Carl would think the Fried Coffee is Javalicious and it would make for a Festivulous time eating/drinking it! Great new words of the week!Don't go giving Carl ideas now, C-A-H!
Praying you dad gets a good report, my friend!Today looks like an easy day as I just have finished my reviews for this quarter!!! now I can focus on just regular floor work. I had a very good work out this morning, and when I got into my car it was 40F but there was ice on the windshield from the overnight dew,I guess the windshield must get colder than the air temp which allows moisture to freeze...I am going to call my dad today because he has an important Dr's appt(neorologist)thanks for the prayers my dad and my whole family really appreciate it!!!have a great day everyone!
