Careful, S-I-L, You might bring Bing up to a boil (or should I say a perk?)

Good Morning, Fellow Christmas (and Weekend!) Appreciators.

Indeed!
Another work week has ended and another Saturday is here.
A never-ending cycle marked by our inexorable count:
Days to the Season: 276
Days to Christmas Day: 318
TOMORROW, Guys!
Milestone #2.
The ONE QUARTER SEASON mark!
Don't miss it!!

Our last reasonably nice morning (42 degrees) for a while, as tonight and tomorrow night we will be down in the low to mid 20's with winds possibly as high as 40 mph.
BRRRRR!!!
(Well, it had to happen. We've been so spoiled this winter. Not that I mind that, of course!)

Allrighty-o me Buckos!
You have one mighty Sensational Saturday, OK?
And don't fiorget to spread a little Seasonal Spirit while you're at it!

Hell that is crap. its always the way hopefully she wll be good for the wedding .there is nothing worst than having to go though a long day and you not well
i wood love that yankee candle shop . and the kringle shop . we have started to get then over here. there was a guy in a shopping centre selling then and i was aking about then and he said that . the owner of kringle use to be the owner or founder of yankee candle or somthing lke that
i bought a few that day yes i wood say they are good.
Hoping you have a lovely day

The owner of Kringle is the son of the guy who use to own Yankee Candle. The "kid" owner is in his early-mid 20's. The good news for me is that both Yankee and Kringle home stores are about an hour away from where I live.

Good evening,

We are up here in the Ski resort area in West Dover, Vermont. It has not started out to well, my wife is sick, seems to be the same thing I had and JP had, or possibly food poisoning. I feel so bad for her, she has been looking forward to this for months, but we are trapped in our room when we had so many plans. I just hope she feels better for the wedding tomorrow. They are expecting snow here tomorrow, there is not enough on the ground for sleigh rides right now. We did stop at Yankee Candle Flagship Store on the way up here, bought a bunch of candles, and looked at all the Christmas stuff. I thought of you Made when I saw a Santa Claus dressed in a racing suit, holding a helmet. That place is awesome. We may stop at a new place called Kringle candle on our way home Sunday.
Also in front of the main building the have a large pine tree all lit up with white LED lights, I will be taking pictures tomorrow.

Have a great night!

That is terrible! Hope your wife gets to feeling better soon! I have always wanted to go to the flagship store in MAss,I am going to wait one year when I win the lotto because I will spend soo much $$$. I talked with my buddy yesterday and instead of Vermont they are going to Mt washington N.H so they get see major snowfall! But I hope you all have a great weekend and get some of the white stuff!

Good saturday morning everyone! I slept in and feel so good,I am in a 'life is wonderful' type mood,it really is amazing what a good night sleep can do for ya! I am not sure what is planned today,BUT tonight I am going to make ICE in my pear trees in the front yard....( i know it's is wastin water) but it rarely gets down to 26F this year and it really need to get into the 20's before you get good thick ice. Tonight we are watching Christmas movies. And even a Christmas horror movie that brandi has not seen yet. I love horror movies and the reason I like this one is because it is not bloody at all, just suspenceful and it was filmed in beautiful Canada at Christmas time so there is REAL snow and beautiful amazing Christmas Decor out everywhere..it was filmed in the mid 70's so is the big gawdy nice Christmas decor!!! have a great Saturday morning everyone..and one more thing...I have not been as worried about going to tstify at court tuesday because I finally told myself that if I worry and am very nervous I will just mess up so I HAVE to remain calm.lol thanks for the prayers everyone!

Good morning! Just wanted to stop in and say hello before going to bed. I will stop back in a little later. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning my MMC friends!

It is actually freezing out today! There might be some possible sleet by Monday, I think. I need to watch the weather again to see what day they mentioned. I know the temps will warm back up later this week.

Xmas366, I am glad your wife is feeling better! I hope your foot is better too!

If you notice in my signature I added The Greasy Skillet Radio Show link. This is RadioJonD's show and I highly recommend it. Wayne, myself and a few others on here tune in every Saturday evening 8 pm est. and chat it up on facebook. You can still listen without facebook but if you want to chat that is where we are at.

Roll call... Will our regular listeners be there?

I hope the rest of you can pop in for a listen! =)

I will be there, but I am losing my voice so I won't be chatting a lot

xmas: I'm glad your wife is feeling better - have a lovely time today!

jennifer: I will keep praying for your mom. It sounds to me like she needs to see a different doctor - ask the nurses at the hospital who they recommend as they know the best doctors in the area! I hope your day improves!!!

Good morning, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!

All the weather forecasts I saw said less than an inch of snow accumulation - depending on where you are standing outside, there is four to six inches
Roads are terrible, though, and yesterday there was a 60 car pile-up a little further north of where I live. It will take them a day or two to plow out my road, so tomorrow or Monday I can do the errands I was planning on doing today. It is chilly in the house, so I am going to start a pot of chili. Sounds good for today - maybe later on I will make some cornbread, too, the spicy kind!

Have a MERRY day and stay safe!!!

Morning, everyone! It is a snowy/blustery/bitter cold day here! The temperature is only 22° Fahrenheit now and it is going to continue to drop all day long. The wind is gusting up to 30 mph which means a lot of blowing snow. We got a couple of inches last night and we are supposed to get 2-4 more today/tonight, and another inch tomorrow. When that is all said and done, it'll leave us with about 5-7 inches.

I wanted to go out to the mall and maybe shop a bit today, but I think I'll stick to the online shopping since it is so cold and crummy out. I do like looking at the snow, though - so I'll just enjoy it since it is the weekend and I don't have to drive in it!

Does anyone have anything fun planned for the day/weekend? This is going to be weird getting used to no football!

Sorry to hear your wife was sick last night, but very happy she is doing much better today! Enjoy the wedding, and beautiful scenery!! Hope you guys get that snow so you can go on a sleigh ride or two =)

Jennifer,
I just have to say that I felt just like this, in a way, after my surgeries in October and November. I just could not seem to get my energy back. I was sort of getting depressed and just could not shake the lethargy. I finally went in for INT (intraveinous nutrient therapy), an IV with loads of vitamins and "stuff." It took over a week for THAT to kick in, and I have felt fine ever since. Maybe your mom could check into it.

C, who did that for you? I mean, what kind of doctor? I recently went in for vitamin & mineral testing, and am deficient in a lot of them, which may explain some of the problems I've been having the past year or so. Now, I'm taking @ 20 viatamins a day, and they're expensive! I may be interested in that as well.

Jennifer, hope this may help your Mom! I will keep her in my thoughts & prayers!

Ooh, those accidents sound awful. Be safe! And enjoy the beauty of the snow. Want some company for lunch, lol? Sounds delicious! Hope you have a great day too :) Hugs to you, Mouse, Palmer, and Bo!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It started out foggy today, but that has started to lift. We have a semi-busy day planned: organizing scrapbook materials and labeling them so I will know what is what while we are remodeling. I will soon put on pinto beans in the crockpot. That plus cole slaw and cornbread will round out our dinner and ourselves!!! Then we will head to Mass tonight and relax afterwards. Have a great day!!!

Snowflake,
My plastic surgeon (facelift) said that patients seem to have more energy and heal faster after surgeries with INT. I hope to go in next week and get another one to aid me as I recover from the mastectomies.

Good morning, friends!!

Just wanted to say hi & wish you all a great weekend!!

It's supposed to be spring-y here in Vegas for the next few days =)
So, we are going to grill out some steaks tomorrow & try a new steak sauce recipe. In case anyone is interested in trying it:

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 1-1/2-inch thick beef tenderloin steaks (8 ounces each)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • 1 cup whipping cream
Directions

1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sprinkle both sides of steaks with salt and ground pepper; add to hot skillet. Cook for 2 minutes on each side or until brown. Transfer to a 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Bake the steaks, uncovered, in a 400 degrees F oven for 10 to 13 minutes for medium-rare doneness (145 degrees F).
2. For brandy-cream sauce, in the same skillet cook mushrooms and onions over medium heat till just until tender. Remove the pan from heat; add brandy. Carefully ignite brandy with a long match (mixture will flame up). Or dont ignite brandy; return to heat and simmer, uncovered, for 4 minutes or till most of the liquid is evaporated. When the flame is gone or most of the liquid has been evaporated, add whipping cream. Bring the sauce just to boiling. Boil gently for about 8 minutes or until reduced to 1 cup, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
3. To serve, place steaks on warm serving plates and spoon the sauce over the meat. Makes 2 to 4 servings.

In our case, we are making the sauce separate. To me, there is nothing better than steaks on a charcoal grill
I'll let you know how it turns out!

Hope you all have a fabulous day! xo

Sorry!!! We were supposed to get 2 inches here and I really didn't want to shovel it. So I turned on the fan and blew all of it back up your way.

Stay Safe!!!!
