here is a link for carnival traditions in biggest Carnival City near me....btw...there are also many US bases...so one or the other Germany return might have taken part in Carnival as well

And won't single digits look nice.
<< They always do, Crown! >>

Arrrgh! Chilly and rainy weather has returned.
It's supposed to rain all day and not get above the mid-forties.
Ugh! I'm ready for Spring.

But, regardless, I shall try to have a Super Sunday.
You try too, OK?

Just so you know Coach. You and the wife will be required to dance for at least one song during the skillet.

My wife and I pick one of the dances the Charlie Brown gang does in Charlie Brown Christmas when they are supposed to be rehearsing for the play.

Good morning again!!! Breaking news*** We are getting another dog*** this one is a little brown doxie....I think we are going to call her pepper...she is only 4 weeks old so are are not going to get her until next weekend after she separates from her mom. Its always hard on little dogs to do that!!! the last doxie I had for 10 years and she was the sweetest dog ever. I know the pottie training will be hard and trying.lol but I can't wait.. Me and Brandi are getting ready to go to church and it's raining we already have had 2 inches and it's still coming down!! After church we are having about 10 friends from church over to eat lunch so me and brandi have been in the kitchen cooking..sundays are fast becoming enterntainment day for us. and I have found out that brandi is much more sociable than me... I thought I was but since we hae lived together she has had many more get togethers than I have.lol anyway hope everyone Is having a great day so far...I will check back in later!!

Between GS & the race, it was practically a duel chat! That was cool and the race ain't even over yet after that huge crash! Man!
...and also pop in on here at least once to say hi and tell them to join us! =)
I didn't make it tonight, but I will next week! Thanks for the direct link, RDJ!
Looking forward to your visit!

I need some shades to look at your Sunny picture! (sorry for taking up the whole page!) All this is making me dizzy.

I just saw an article on my homepage about the top 10 most hated athletes and number 10 is Kurt Busch. I thought Kyle Busch was more hated then Kurt, and he isn't even on the list. The number 1 position was a tie between Tiger Woods and Michael Vick.

That's really psychedelic there baby, I think if you look at it long enough it will hypnotize you.

Good morning!

I hope this finds everyone well!

The sun is shining brightly, but I have the furnace turned up rather high as Palmer jumped into a tub full of water and she won't let me dry her off. She is hiding under the dresser - I'm not sure if she thinks she is going to get corrected (she has done this more than once) or if she is just really embarrassed. Oh, well - she sure does keep things hopping and dripping around here

Have a most MERRY day and stay safe!!!

Oh my goodness! I had a cat thinking the toilet seat lid was down and jumped right into it! *splash*! Poor thing!

She has a lot of surrogate Aunties and Grandmothers here!!! Can I be The Grandmother???

oh seawaters, of course, she'd be honored!!!!
Good evening, Christmas family !

Well, I for one am so glad it is Friday. My back is better but it was killing me tonight by the end of the evening. Thankfully I don't have to sit for eight hours typing tomorrow or Sunday. I think it is a flare up of sciatica.....I talk to folks all the time who think that being a transcriptionist is easy because all we do is sit there and type !! Wrong !! It is quite demanding, believe it or not !

You should all see Hermione !! She was 10 pounds when we adopted her.....now she is 19.8 !!! She is growing so fast and she is learning incredibly FAST !! She is not even three months old yet but is pretty well house trained already. My sister is supposed to visit tomorrow and is meeting Hermione for the first time. She is also bringing me some Christmas presents she forgot to give me !!! What a WONDERFUL sister and how lucky I am to have her as well as all of you !

I hope everyone has a wonderful and Christmassy weekend.

Big (((HUGS))) for all and of course, including, Harlowe, Ella, Snickers, Snowball, Penny, Pocket, Daisy, Chico, Gomez, Scooby, Sasha, and all furchildren and furless animal children too !! xo

cm3 i was just thinking about you, i hope your back pain eases for you. i bet hermoine is just precious as ever. get some much needed rest doll!!
Good Morning Christmas Friends!

Between being busy and sick I just haven't spent a lot of time on here but think about you all! I am getting better but not 100%. I am trying to get some energy but I will be just fine! =)

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday! cheesy

cah i sure hope you feel better. you need a day to just lounge & listen/watch Christmas carols & movies. there that's your prescription, get it filled & follow directions carefully!!!lol
baking put on hold, looked in the oven and it really, really needed cleaning. This is one job I do not like doing, which is why it ends up so dirty I guess.

star you always make me laugh. i too hate cleaning an oven but w/ you, it looks like fun! hahahaha!
Good morning from the crazy house!

The boys are in a rare mood today, JP got to go make a commercial last night with his Cub Scout troop at the Local access TV station, he an the other kids were so excited.
We will be heading to my in-laws to celebrate my sister in law's birthday.

Have a great day!

cool xmas366, your jp is a celebrity now! have fun @ the party!
Good afternoon!

It was snowing last night when I got home - so very pretty out then. I have done a lot of baking today - homemade Mexican pizza, two loaves of country buttermilk cinnamon swirl bread and a batch of sour cream cranberry squares. The squares need some tweaking done to the recipe as it is way too sweet for my taste. Now I have a pile of dishes to do, so I had best get some of them soaking.

Have a MERRY day!!!

wow all your goodies sound so good!! have a great weekend!!

good a.m. My MC family! what a glorious Sunday it is too! rain has settled over us but we need it & it's beautiful!
big bro's party was nice yesterday, came home after & watched a little tv before bed. i was soo tired.
so dawg, how did brandi like her necklace? i'm sure she was tickled to pieces.
cah, can you tell me a little more about the Greasy Skillet? what time/days is it on?
well guys haven't mentioned this before but where i live in S.C. the crimes are getting out of hand. our unemployment rate is 1 of the highest & some people are turning to crime. there's a beauty shop down below the flower shop i work @ & the owner was leaving 1 evening & some men in a van came up to her car window, pointed a gun @ her. she took off in her car & went straight to the police station, told them, & they searched & found the men in the van. turns out the gun was a bb gun. that's horrible, i mean c'mon, can you imagine how scared she was? this is just 1 incident of many. hubby has said he's getting his concealed weapon license & i had told him i am too. hubby had mentioned this before this happened but i decided to afterward. i know some of you may feel anti-gun but when you are scared....you're scared! boss had went to a chamber of commerce meeting on the downtown crime w/ the sheriff speaking on it, she filled us in on the info he gave. boss said she's gotta bad feeling, which didn't help my fears. also told us if anyone tries to rob the shop, give them everything! don't fight it let'em have it all! this town is in bad shape & it saddens me because this is where i grew up have called home for 40 years.:?

Good morning! Stormed here last night and I slept like a baby! Nothing like a rainy night to sleep.

Just cooked me a turkey sausage sandwich. Yum! Now, I'm going to sit here and relax for the next few hours and then I'm going to clean house. But first, I'm going to read the boards! See ya later!

We arrived home too late from dinner, but I did catch the next show after RJD's. It took me a while to find it because I was confused by the "Talk Radio" part. I thought I was at the wrong site and kept going back to post and clicking on the link. Finally realized that I was at the right place after all. Thanks for the reminders and the link!!!

It will be great to have you join our Saturday night party at the skillet coach!

So sorry to hear that, merry. :(
I say it's better to be safe than sorry!

We had a little crime back in my hometown, just like everywhere else does somewhat. But, when we moved to Vegas @ 10 years ago, I was blown away by the magnitude of it!! And I have to be on constant alert. Hubby used to say "Stace, just don't watch the news" because you knew it was going to be bad & scary. We've had our cars broken into twice, and our home was robbed @ 4 years ago. I came home to find it, and never forgot that feeling of fear & of being violated. Brand new house & had only been in it less than 6 months. We had the Vegas CSI here and everything. They had cleaned us out, kicked in our front door frame in broad daylight. I'm just glad we weren't here! And that we didn't have Harlowe yet. The cops told us to get protection, and be prepared in the future. So, we went & bought a .357 Magnum, got lessons, went target shooting until I felt comfortable, bought an alarm system, and got Harlowe. The cops said just having a dog is helpful, no matter the breed, that a lot of times a bark will ward them off.

Anyways, my point is, do whatever you feel you need to do to feel safe! I carry pepper spray in my purse. Do you do that? If not, may be a good idea. Good luck. Sad about having to feel that way in your hometown. xo

I came home early from church to set the table and put some food in the oven...much to my horror I learned that we left the peas on the stove still on...they cooked on low for an hour and stil did not burn!!!! major miracle I think on this Sunday....I always check to make sure all the burners are off!! I better be more careful...Oh well I think everything is going okay...we are eating grilled porkchops I cooked last night on the grill, and cornbread stuffing and field peas and for dessert Ice cream cake. Oh and I forgot we are also having potato casserole....I love that stuff!! better go....have a midday on this Sunday!!!
