Good morning MMCers! Hope you're all having a great morning and weekend! I can't believe it's almost over already, but it's been a good one!

I just got home with the kids a little over 2 hours ago and they were happy 2 see their daddy. He just went to run and get something for lunch. I think this afternoon will be spent doing some wash and then spending time together!

Nothing new to report here. I did see Kyle Busch one the race last night. Boo....I fell asleep when my dad was still watching it (with Jr. in the lead). I am not much of a fan anymore, but Jr. will always be the one I route for. I used to be a huge Jr. fan, not ever missing a race!

Anyway, I am going to get caught up the countdown after lunch. Hope everyone is enjoying the last 1/2 day of their weekened. Ttyl!

I came home early from church to set the table and put some food in the oven...much to my horror I learned that we left the peas on the stove still on...they cooked on low for an hour and stil did not burn!!!! major miracle I think on this Sunday....I always check to make sure all the burners are off!! I better be more careful...Oh well I think everything is going okay...we are eating grilled porkchops I cooked last night on the grill, and cornbread stuffing and field peas and for dessert Ice cream cake. Oh and I forgot we are also having potato casserole....I love that stuff!! better go....have a midday on this Sunday!!!

I've done that before too. Went to the store real quick to get something and came home and realized I left the oven on or left a candle burning (which is way worse). Scares the crap out of me.

True story: A guy that works with my DH: his wife cooked him super and brought it to the firehouse burnt the oven mit while doing so. While she was there, they got called out for a housefire to their house! She had thrown the 0ven mit into the trash and it must not have cooled enough. It caught the house on fire and they lost a ton of stuff. It was truly sad. This was before my husband worked there. It just really makes you realize though how careful you need to be though. I know I need to be more careful too!

I might have a little cold starting---gotta get some tea and try to chase that off.

I hope you're not getting one! If you are, hope you feel better soon!

No, I haven't seen a doctor. I should be fine just really tired. It might take a couple of days to get back to normal, I hope! =)

I hope so too! Just make sure to see one if you soon don't start feeling better! We ALL care about you here! :)

About to lay down, watch a movie....and take a nap.

There is nothing like a lazy Sunday.

NOTHING.

(except Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Thanksgiving, maybe Halloween, Fourth of July....you know what I'm saying)

I got up early not meaning too...was up alot last night because of course we lost power for 2 hours with the weather!!

Sorry to hear you lost power. Hopefully you didn't have any other damage. Glad to see your okay otherwise!

Good morning again!!! Breaking news*** We are getting another dog*** this one is a little brown doxie....I think we are going to call her pepper...she is only 4 weeks old so are are not going to get her until next weekend after she separates from her mom. Its always hard on little dogs to do that!!! the last doxie I had for 10 years and she was the sweetest dog ever. I know the pottie training will be hard and trying.lol but I can't wait.. Me and Brandi are getting ready to go to church and it's raining we already have had 2 inches and it's still coming down!! After church we are having about 10 friends from church over to eat lunch so me and brandi have been in the kitchen cooking..sundays are fast becoming enterntainment day for us. and I have found out that brandi is much more sociable than me... I thought I was but since we hae lived together she has had many more get togethers than I have.lol anyway hope everyone Is having a great day so far...I will check back in later!!

Congrats on the great news! I can't wait to see the pics!

Hope you have fun today with your little family and your friends! Hope that nasty weather stops soon!

I just saw an article on my homepage about the top 10 most hated athletes and number 10 is Kurt Busch. I thought Kyle Busch was more hated then Kurt, and he isn't even on the list. The number 1 position was a tie between Tiger Woods and Michael Vick.

Yes...I am pretty sure Kyle Busch would be in my top 10 and I'm not even into racing that much anymore!

well guys haven't mentioned this before but where i live in S.C. the crimes are getting out of hand. our unemployment rate is 1 of the highest & some people are turning to crime. there's a beauty shop down below the flower shop i work @ & the owner was leaving 1 evening & some men in a van came up to her car window, pointed a gun @ her. she took off in her car & went straight to the police station, told them, & they searched & found the men in the van. turns out the gun was a bb gun. that's horrible, i mean c'mon, can you imagine how scared she was? this is just 1 incident of many. hubby has said he's getting his concealed weapon license & i had told him i am too. hubby had mentioned this before this happened but i decided to afterward. i know some of you may feel anti-gun but when you are scared....you're scared! boss had went to a chamber of commerce meeting on the downtown crime w/ the sheriff speaking on it, she filled us in on the info he gave. boss said she's gotta bad feeling, which didn't help my fears. also told us if anyone tries to rob the shop, give them everything! don't fight it let'em have it all! this town is in bad shape & it saddens me because this is where i grew up have called home for 40 years.:?

That is really sad that this is what parts of the world is coming to. I understand what you mean too. You never want to see the place where you grew up at turn like that. I will pray for you, MerryM and keep you in my thoughts.

I carry pepper spray in my purse.

I do too! DH got it for me a couple of years ago. His buddy owns a gun shop and suggested it. Since I work night shift and have to walk in from the parking lot, he thought it would be a good idea. Sometimes I am walking in by myself.

Ahhh nap. That 3 letter word sounds so good to me right now. I think I may just do that too!

I liked Coach's idea! I am off to take a nap, too! Both kids are taking one, so I think I should try to fit in one while I can.

Be back a little later! Hope you're enjoying your day! :-D

reconsidered the plans I had for today.....instead we took the train to our state capitol Mainz and took part in the big party on the street.....all dressed up as whatever they felt like....singing and dancing....and of course eating and drinking.....kandice ate an entire chicken nuggets happy meal, plus almost half my burger....lol....she was incredibly hungry and a trooper....she pulled my mother through the crowds so we had a space right in front of the stage....lol...I would have just stood in the back and watch from a far...but not Kandice...she wouldnt have it.....she let us through the masses right to the front....too cute...and then when dancers came on stage...I still had to pick her up so she could see sumthin....heavy little bug :D.........ending my post here with the chant we do at carnival in my area of Germany

HELAU!!!!

Now it is Gibbs, Ziva, DiNozzo, McGie, Abbie and Dougy to entertain the next hour. I love Navy Cis
