reconsidered the plans I had for today.....instead we took the train to our state capitol Mainz and took part in the big party on the street.....all dressed up as whatever they felt like....singing and dancing....and of course eating and drinking.....kandice ate an entire chicken nuggets happy meal, plus almost half my burger....lol....she was incredibly hungry and a trooper....she pulled my mother through the crowds so we had a space right in front of the stage....lol...I would have just stood in the back and watch from a far...but not Kandice...she wouldnt have it.....she let us through the masses right to the front....too cute...and then when dancers came on stage...I still had to pick her up so she could see sumthin....heavy little bug :D.........ending my post here with the chant we do at carnival in my area of Germany

HELAU!!!!

This sounds like so much fun, Track! Germany sure has a lot of fun traditions! Hope you and your family had a lot of fun this weekend!

i live in S.C. the crimes are getting out of hand. our unemployment rate is 1 of the highest & some people are turning to crime. there's a beauty shop down below the flower shop i work @ & the owner was leaving 1 evening & some men in a van came up to her car window, pointed a gun @ her. she took off in her car & went straight to the police station, told them, & they searched & found the men in the van. turns out the gun was a bb gun. that's horrible, i mean c'mon, can you imagine how scared she was? this is just 1 incident of many. hubby has said he's getting his concealed weapon license & i had told him i am too. hubby had mentioned this before this happened but i decided to afterward. i know some of you may feel anti-gun but when you are scared....you're scared! boss had went to a chamber of commerce meeting on the downtown crime w/ the sheriff speaking on it, she filled us in on the info he gave. boss said she's gotta bad feeling, which didn't help my fears. also told us if anyone tries to rob the shop, give them everything! don't fight it let'em have it all! this town is in bad shape & it saddens me because this is where i grew up have called home for 40 years.

scary, hope things start to get better in your area

Well, I was able to get about a 2 hour nap in, thanks to DH. Once the kids got up, he had to tend them. He let me sleep for a little while though because I was up at 6:30 am both days with them and since I will be up all night tonight. What a wonderful man he is! :)

I need some shades to look at your Sunny picture! (sorry for taking up the whole page!) All this is making me dizzy.

big bro's party was nice yesterday, came home after & watched a little tv before bed. i was soo tired.
so dawg, how did brandi like her necklace? i'm sure she was tickled to pieces.
cah, can you tell me a little more about the Greasy Skillet? what time/days is it on?
well guys haven't mentioned this before but where i live in S.C. the crimes are getting out of hand. our unemployment rate is 1 of the highest & some people are turning to crime. there's a beauty shop down below the flower shop i work @ & the owner was leaving 1 evening & some men in a van came up to her car window, pointed a gun @ her. she took off in her car & went straight to the police station, told them, & they searched & found the men in the van. turns out the gun was a bb gun. that's horrible, i mean c'mon, can you imagine how scared she was? this is just 1 incident of many. hubby has said he's getting his concealed weapon license & i had told him i am too. hubby had mentioned this before this happened but i decided to afterward. i know some of you may feel anti-gun but when you are scared....you're scared! boss had went to a chamber of commerce meeting on the downtown crime w/ the sheriff speaking on it, she filled us in on the info he gave. boss said she's gotta bad feeling, which didn't help my fears. also told us if anyone tries to rob the shop, give them everything! don't fight it let'em have it all! this town is in bad shape & it saddens me because this is where i grew up have called home for 40 years.:?

That is so scary

I came home early from church to set the table and put some food in the oven...much to my horror I learned that we left the peas on the stove still on...they cooked on low for an hour and stil did not burn!!!! major miracle I think on this Sunday....I always check to make sure all the burners are off!! I better be more careful...Oh well I think everything is going okay...we are eating grilled porkchops I cooked last night on the grill, and cornbread stuffing and field peas and for dessert Ice cream cake. Oh and I forgot we are also having potato casserole....I love that stuff!! better go....have a midday on this Sunday!!!

That is my biggest fear, leaving the stove or oven on when I am out, or locking myself out of the house with it on. I have locked myself out a few times.

I actually turned on Daytona qualifying for a little while today, and I think I heard something wrong. Did I actually hear them say that NASCAR changed the restrictor plate and made the spoiler smaller so they could go faster? Seemed like when I was a big fan they just kept making them go slower, now they are reversing all of that? WOW!!!

quiet afternoon here. Trying to build a model of the CN tower out of sugar art, first attempt looks pathetic, will let you know how the next one comes out. Also have to do the Eiffel tower for the same cake. Making models of well known structures is much harder than just making a model that is make believe.

Amazing race starts tonight, one of my favorite shows to watch!

Happy Hockey Day in America!!!

Watching the Bruins right now taking on the Minnesota Wild, a big celebration of hockey all day on NBC.

We made a brunch for my in-laws, blueberry French toast, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, hash browns. It was yummeriffic!

I saw a Christmas tree all lit up in a window the other night, it made me want to put mine back up.

Enjoy your day! GO Bruins!!!!

That's EA newsest thing now - when I go out to the garage to get the dog food or to get a soda - she sometimes will lock me out of the house. Thank goodness we have keys out there!

Good morning again!!! Breaking news*** We are getting another dog*** this one is a little brown doxie....I think we are going to call her pepper...she is only 4 weeks old so are are not going to get her until next weekend after she separates from her mom. Its always hard on little dogs to do that!!! the last doxie I had for 10 years and she was the sweetest dog ever. I know the pottie training will be hard and trying.lol but I can't wait..

Congratulations Neal !! I am so happy about the new baby. I LOVE the name !! Yes, I won't lie....house training IS HARD but it is so worth it. Hermione is not yet 3 months and with consistency and lots of patience and love she is finally getting it most days. Good luck with your new baby and let us know how it goes and of course, we expect pictures !! xo

The sun is shining brightly, but I have the furnace turned up rather high as Palmer jumped into a tub full of water and she won't let me dry her off. She is hiding under the dresser - I'm not sure if she thinks she is going to get corrected (she has done this more than once) or if she is just really embarrassed. Oh, well - she sure does keep things hopping and dripping around here

Have a most MERRY day and stay safe!!!

Oh My !!! That poor little wet baby !!! I hope she gets dried off okay !! xoxo

Amazing race starts tonight, one of my favorite shows to watch!

I used to watch that when it first started. I really liked the show, but I don't have too much time for tv anymore.

Good luck with the cake. Let use know how it goes and post some pics!

Good afternoon dear Christmas family !

Yesterday was an amazing, wonderful day with my sister. We had such a wonderful time together. She brought me two T-shirts she had meant for me to have at Christmas both Harry Potter quotes - One says "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" and the other says "Mischief Managed" .....Both quotes having to do with the Marauder's Map......(for any of you who might have read the series).
The up to no good one is DEFINITELY ME !! LOL !! We then went to our favorite used book store and she got me two books by Debbie Macomber......I did not know which ones to choose since Debbie has a TON of books......I never realized......I didn't want to read Mrs. Miracle because I feel Hallmark probably covered that pretty well with the movies. Se we shall see. I am always looking for good books about Christmas or just good books in general. I love REAL books. My fear is that in the future books are going to be replaced by things like Kindle and such......these are wonderful ways to read but IMHO there is NOTHING like holding a REAL book !!!

MerryMistletoe - What a scary, scary situation. I hope all will be well xo I can certainly understand your need to have the license to carry a concealed weapon and I fully support whoever wants to have guns......I just have an aversion to guns because of what happened in this house 19 years ago....

CAH - I hope you are feeling better and as well Sugar I hope you will be better soon also.

I found out something VERY INTERESTING Christmas family. For my back pain, I cannot tolerate ibuprofen (Motrin) or aspirin or Naproxen (Alleve) alone. They ALL GIVE ME ASTHMA .....that was not the case in the past. Now there is very little it seems I can take for this kind of pain. I am going to switch back to Acetaminophen and see if that is okay.......if not, I guess I am sunk.

I hope all have a wonderful Christmassy Sunday and of course the usual well wishes and BIG (((HUGS))) to all of you xo

And also, (((Hugs))) to Ella, Snickers, Harlowe, Palmer, Mouse, Snowball, soon to be Pepper, Gomez, Chico and Daisy xoxo

I am glad you had such a wonderful day with your sister yesterday! It sounds like you guys have such a great relationship! That is so special!

I know what you mean about the books. I love my Nook, but I still like to read actual books everyonce in a while. Nothing feels so good like holding a real book in my fingers!

Hopefully you can get everything sorted out with your medicine. Ibuprofen can do such bad things to people sometimes, then so can Tylenol. Hopefully you can tolerate the Tylenol!

How is the progress on your laptop?

Hugs to all of you guys!
