Our musical turned out great, the kids did a fantastic job!

We did have a scare before it started. 15 min before the start our choir directors husband appeared to have a stroke (he is 74) He was coherent but slurred his words. An ambulance came to take him to the hospital. He told her to finish with the kids since they would be doing a bunch of tests and making her wait in the waiting room anyway.
We prayed with her, then talked to the kids about what had happened. She did really well and went off to the hospital after it was done. Waiting to get an email about how he is doing.

My prayers are on the way for both of them.

Seawaters Update!

I was expecting her daughter to call but guess what? Cherylle called me herself and sounded very well considering what she just went through. The surgery was expected to last 5 1/2 hours but only took around 4! She said she is in a little pain and tired but doing good. Her request to the doctor is that she wanted an IV with coffee and Chardonnay.

She wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers and said they worked! I did tell her that we are all talking about her on here and couldn't wait to hear from her.

She said she might try to pop in on here tonight.

This is wonderful news, CAH! Thank you for updating us. This is the first I have been able to check in today, but I have been thinking about her and praying all day. Thank you God answering our prayers! He is good! Seawaters: We will continuing to be praying for you and pray for your recovery time now!!! So glad to hear that you were feeling so well afterwards! We love you! Xoxo!

here comes that rainy day feeling again? or it could be Oh what a feeling, but neither seems to fit real well.(even though I like them both!)

:yahoo: The song it was based on appears somewhere in the lyrics and the group is listed in the opening statement. That's a very good hint.

Good evening, everyone! This is the first I've been able to check in today because I've been so busy, but I've been praying like crazy. I'm so glad and happy to see a good report about Seawaters. God is good!

We went out to dinner this evening for my FIL's birthday. It was a nice evening. I am stuffed though. I ate dessert too, which I've been trying not to do. Oh well, I guess you have to live a little everyonce in a while!

I am off tonight, so DH and I on planning on doing some running around tomorrow. He wants to go shopping for a shed for our outside. I'm thirlled, let me tell you! :) Not my kind of fun.

Well, I am going to try to get caught up on the countdown some. Then I am going to head over to the Pines here too. I will talk to you all tomorrow! Hope you're all enjoying yourselves!

Good causes for celebration tonight! Pass the tea and Twinkies!

Good news for SeaWaters and my friend Bekki. Her husband snuck away from the hospital today so he could check in on their pets and stopped by to give me a face-to-face update. That was so sweet of him. He wanted me to know that they're just waiting on a bed in our local hospital and she'll come back hopefully for the weekend and soon after is expected to be able to go home. They have quite a flight of stairs though so it might take at least another week. She was up walking around the ICU ward late yesterday and this morning. Her brain surgery was a delicate procedure and the surgeon mentioned that he was concerned initially about temporary paralysis, but she's fine in that regard and today all of her other gadgets were removed and the bandages came off her head. It's only been two days since the surgery. Thanks for keeping Bekki and Steve in your thoughts and prayers - the force worked!!!

that is exactly why I love spell check, that way this bad speller can constructively hide all her flaws.

Beware, Cstar! The spell checker WILL betray you one day!

A Little Poem Regarding Computer Spell Checkers...

Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.

I once was a proofreader at an engineering firm where the engineers preferred to use spell checkers rather than take the time for professional proofreaders to check their documents. An engineer once reluctantly brought me an important proposal. "You won't need to spend much time on this---I used the spell checker," he said. He wasn't quite so confident when I pointed out that we were proposing a "dead engineer" instead of a "lead engineer." From then on, whenever somebody tries to sneak past proofreading, I tell them they'd better let me check their document for dead engineers. (P.S. The same thing happened another time, but the term in question was "shift supervisor." Draw your own conclusions.)

The moral of the story: Computers will never replace proofreaders!

Christmas is coming!!!

Short visit tonight - enjoy the rest of the entertainment at the Pines and elsewhere around this merry place.

Posters of The DeFranco Family, The Jackson 5, Donny & the Osmonds, Leif Garrett, Andy Gibb, David and Shaun Cassidy along with a few others adorned my bedroom closet door in the early to mid-70’s along with several popular TV stars. Poor Donny, I wore the lips off that poster kissing him goodnight. Tiger Beat and Teen Beat magazines were gifts at Christmas and Birthdays for many years. See if you know the original song based on my version.

Glowy Feelin'

Don’t y’all know I get a glowy feeling
Every time you post
And it always sets me thinking ‘bout Christmas
Y’all are the most

Y’all keep me smiling
As we countdown through the year
And that feeling is increasing
‘Cause Christmas is inching closer and nearly here.

Abracadabra, Alicazam
Abracadabra, thanks from another Christmas fan!

I came on tonight just to read this update. Thank you, CAH!

Cherylle. I couldn't be happier for you. Keep fighting hard and along the road to recovery!

The short time I managed to get outside I sure enjoyed it! Had windows and doors open for a time here!

I was only outside for a short time today, too. Tomorrow looks to be warm as well. The only downside is that it should be full of rain. Lots of it. At least it will wash away all/most of the snow!

Well, I am very tired. I think it's going to be a shorter visit than I thought...
