Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a hot and stormy day here in central Indy with a high in the low 80's. I saw one model that showed we could reach the 90's next week. Hopefully that's wrong. I need to run to the grocery store sometime today and that's about it. I need to figure out what I'm making to go with my corned beef tomorrow before I go though. I don't really care for cabbage so I'll probably just make potatoes and carrots. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I am exhausted. I had two doctors appointments today. The oncologist said that only one of the lymph nodes had cancer. The reconstruction doctor took out the staples but kept in the stitches until Monday. What a difference that made!!! I felt so much better. It is time for some TV with Hubby. TTYL. Have a great rest-of-the-evening!

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better now that the staples are out!!!!!!!

Nothing new here to speak of.

Seawaters, glad to hear the staples are out ... oooh, they're the worst. Twice I've had them in the neck. I felt like the Bride of Frankenstein.

CM3, sorry to hear about the work kerfuffle. A word to the wise should have been enough to alert you to an error, instead of reaming you out. They should take into account all the dictation you've taken without errors.

Warm and happy thoughts to everyone, 'cause I can't always keep track of you all individually, but I do check in every day and read about you all!

Speaking of warm, our weather is supposed to climb up to around 70F again Sunday. We're wondering when the local Dairy Queen is going to open for the season. If they're smart they'll open this weekend to take advantage of the weather!

TEA!

Days to the Season: 242
Days to Christmas Day: 284
And if that (and the fact we have now entered the 2nd of 3 thirds of our count) doesn't impress you, perhaps the proximity of Milestone # 5 will.
It's the ONE QUARTER mark to Christmas Day.....
And it's a scant 10 days off.
SINGLE DIGITS tomorrow!
(Wow! Do we ever need a brand new superlative from Carl now!)

Holi-digi-tastic!

Hi everyone. Our weather forecast for the next 7 days is awful. Highs forecast in the upper 60's, lows in lower 50's with some thunderstorms. This weather is what we normally see in mid May. We should have highs in mid 50's and lows in mid 30's.

We are driving down to see my parents this weekend. My mom seems to be getting weaker. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I'm planning a new trip to USA in November
(closer to Christmas!!!) But I don't know where.
Any suggestions? Where would you like to go?

We have been thinking about NY, Washington, Seattle, San Francisco,
Florida and Texas (+visiting a aunt in Houston)...

NY it's tempting, but it is so big and crowded (I guess)
Have you seen one big city you have seen them all (I think)

The goal for the trip is just to enjoy ourselves.
+ Do a lot of Christmas shopping! =]
I haven't had a chance to scroll through all the post yet to see what everyone's response is but Chicago is another big city that is nice to visit. I have been to New York and Chicago, I really like Chicago. When Wayne and I went to New York to see the 9/11 Memorial and John Lennon Memorial in Central Park I thought it was too hectic. VERY interesting city but HECTIC! I didn't think I wanted to go back but I have changed my mind! I really want to go during the holidays because they do it up big. I also think that we need to visit other areas of New York next time. We only had time to do those 2 things also they had some protest going on at the time and we got caught up in the crowd. Chicago was really nice and I enjoyed it very much. I would like to go there again too. Both of those cities are known for shopping! =)

We also went to Santa Claus, Indiana. That is year round Christmas and you can view the pictures we took in my profile. The town is very peaceful and nice. Their hotel is decorated for Christmas year round and they have cabins there that are decorated year round as well.

Just wondering but will you be here at the end of November near Thanksgiving? If so, plan very early, busy travel time here. You can guarantee everything will be decorated for Christmas then!

I hope you enjoy your visit here!

Good evening, Christmas family

What a HORRIBLE day at work. I was typing along when the phone rang so of course I answered. It was my supervisor. Aparently I made a HUGE mistake on one of the radiology reports and the doctor who dictated it called and reamed out my company so my supervisor of course had to call and tell me I caused all of them to be yelled at.
After that I did not even want to type at all but I had to. I told her I had probably used an abbreviation that was similar to the correct one and had not noticed but I immediately changed it so it will never happen again.

On top of that, I had requested a vacation day tomorrow. I did not know how much notice they needed or anything so I figured it could not hurt to ask. The reply was that they had to get someone to work my shift for me so I can be off. I feel really guilty but I am still taking tomorrow. I need to be away from them for a while to think things over. I don't need someone yelling at me and trying to make me feel guilty. I do all that by myself.
Supervisors that lead like that aren't leaders. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

night (as in, bed time)!

Seawaters, I hope you're feeling better everyday!

CM3, sorry to hear about your job. I hope things get better.

Mgramsey, sorry to hear about your mom. I will keep her in prayer.

Christmasstar, speaking of going to Canada, one of my dreams is to take a train trip through there. I have priced it in the past and not sure I can afford it at this time but maybe someday!!!

Xmas366, I am sure LC will like getting a Big Wheel. I use to love that when I was a kid.

Coach, have a blast on your vacation. Today was the kids last day for theirs this week.

It's been in the mid-80's here all week. I swear, I'm swimming next week if this keeps up.

I'm sorry your mom is not feeling well. Still praying for her, and you.

But what would Dawg say???

LOL!

You are right, CM3. That yelling should not happen between/among adults. How childish! You're right to take that day off!!! Enjoy it. Aren't you going to the vet with your husband?

why is she taking her husband to the vets? I would think a people doc would be better.

It is always nice when the stitches come out! Good that cancer only spread to one lymph node, means they caught it all early on. Will continue to pray for you.

Hi i wood say so bet you feel a lot more comfortable ! think the steeples wood have been the worst. but is shows you are healing good. and that a good sign.

There was a tornado in southeast Michigan yesterday and there was an EF1 tornado a bit north of us a few days ago - scary! I did not know it was that bad out - the station I was listening to did not broadcast any warnings, just the watches and the attention-getting alarms w/out information.

Update: yesterday's tornado was just confirmed as being an EF2.

Stay safe, Made, and whoever else is in the path of potential storms!

I know you will make it special for your niece. What are the colors?

GOOD MORN'IN ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL PEEPS OUT THERE IN CHRISTMAS LAND!! hope this day finds ya'll bright eyed & bushy tailed!
TGIF....got the day off since we were slow @ work. after i take daughter to school going by the shop to get my phone i left yesterday then headed out to pick some things up for hubby he needs for his trip. he'll be home before 1pm today & we'll get all his stuff together so we can hang w/ the kids for a bit.
can't believe we've made it to another milestone on here already...wowser where's the time going?
my niece stopped by last night to show me a picture of her prom dress. it's so pretty. @ the shop we do most of the girls wristlets for prom. we have a whole section for it now. used to it was just a little extra stuff here & there. i tell ya' these girls take it seriously too. we have 4 schools throughout the county so it makes for a busy march/april. you would never think there were so many little things to think about for prom but...anyhoo, i'll get to do my niece's wristlet for her so i want it to be special.
hope ya'll have a great day!! love & hugs...& don't forget to smile!
