Crown, I haven't been on here as much lately but wondering if Carl has any new words for us? cheesy

Mowing is normal for us this time of year but it came early for a lot of people who were doing so in February. Now that is early for us!

good morning ya'll!!
i still have that same Christmas song in my head. "why can't every day be like Christmas" by the king, Elvis. my mama used to listen to that all the time, actually any Elvis. a friend of mine made me an Elvis cd right after Christmas this year, i may have to plug it in! i love the lyrics to that song, so so true!!..."for if every day could be just like Christmas, what a wonderful world this would be". really missing it these days.
my b-i-l told me yesterday that my sis is up walking often & she says she doesn't hurt as bad when she's up & walking. that's a good thing as she's suppose to do alot of it! ended up she had a cist(spelling?) between 2 of her discs & the doc had to remove it. no screws required, that's good. i wish i was w/ her so badly.
my hubby says he's getting lots of work done. this company has made new machinery for their plant here @ home. they went over to test, trial, & figure it all out. 2 more days & he'll be home, yippy!!:???:

we have lots to do @ work. 1 of the high schools here is having their prom friday night & so many of them are coming in ordering wristlets & boutinierres(spelling?). another high school is having a military ball so we are busy, busy, busy!!

hope the morning finds ya'll bright eyed & bushy tailed w/ smiles on your beautiful faces!!!! have a wonderful, wonderful day ya'll!!!!!!!

I know what song to choose for Christmas song of the day now!!!

Quick question.
When you work with flowers, do you smell like flowers at the end of your shift?

I know when I worked for a fast food company in my college years I smelled like French fries when I got home. cheesy

Have a good day!!

My morning check-in before becoming immersed (drowned is more like it!) in proofreading. I'm wearing a Hawaiian shirt today in homage to the record-breaking warm weather here. Aloha, everyone!

The weather is just nuts here, they were talking 80's for today and possibly 40's on Sunday. But this is New England, the only thing we can be prepared for is the unexpected, I think it was April 1997??? when we had almost 2 feet of snow in a late season storm, if my memory serves me correctly.

Took this picture of Venus and Jupiter on the 20th by my house

I've been noticing that a lot lately, last night when I got home Mars was east of Jupiter and Venus, and I saw the Little Dipper also. Astronomy really fascinates me. The night sky is so beautiful.

Good morning, everyone!

Closing in on another milestone with another warm day in Ottawa. Temperatures are to reach about 24C in Ottawa today. Yes, it is reaching 75F in Canada. In March! Unbelievable. If only it were the weekend and this weather could be enjoyed outside all day. Instead, I'm in the office and I don't think the heat has been entirely switched off yet...

I was to have a relaxing evening yesterday, but Kim was sick. So, I had to do some running around to grab her a few necessities. She's improving today. But, she still cannot go to work. Tomorrow seems probable. I spoke with my dad last night. He informed me that he is visiting on April 2nd until the 6th. I haven't seen him since the Christmas Holidays, so it will be great to have him around for the week. Since that will be my first (and hopefully only) week between my current and (finding a) new job, I will get to spend much of the time with him. Hopefully we can think of a couple things to do around here.

Not much happening today. I know that I have the gym tonight. Looking forward to that, as always. Need to get a good workout in after an off-day yesterday. I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful weather. Let's see if it sticks around a little longer for the weekend. Highs of 11C (about 50F) are forecasted here. For March, I will even take that!

Have a great Thursday, everyone! The weekend is barely over a day and a half away!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

We're hoping to get more rain for the next few days. The weatherman says it's favorable condtions.

I cut the grass again yesterday. I love it when the grass is freshly cut and then it rains. And hopefully it'll carry off all the maddening pollen!!

My son has a track meet this afternoon, so I'll have to leave work a little early...again. I hate to keep asking off, but I don't want to disappoint my son. Lucky, my boss is understanding about that. He leaves a lot to coach his son's little league.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

BradMac, tell little one I said congrats! Great job. On the flip side, someone is probably partially responsible for being a good parent, working with their child on education, and showing up at the spelling bee. So good for you, too.

So true, merry!! We are a special group who actually see & live it that way :)

It's wonderful that your sister is doing so well! I will keep her in my prayers during her recovery!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! It looks like today is going to be the last day in the 80's here in central Indy. Tomorrow we start are slow fall back to where we should be at this time of year. I am exhausted today. My aunt had to work over last night so I got stuck here at my sisters house until almost 10 then had to turn around and be back out here at 6am this morning. I should have brought clothes and stayed the night. To make things worse both of my niece's are sick and stayed home from school. Hopefully I can get them to take a nap here soon. My niece in seattle goes to the ENT this morning so hopefully he will have an answer. She has been really bad the last couple of days. My sister from here said that her whole body would just shake when she would try to walk. Well I'm off to fix some lunch. I'll try to get caught up this afternooon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!!

It's going to be another gorgeous day!! We finally caught up with the rest of you and are having spring /summer temperatures!! Yay!

I won't be around much until next week, with work travels for our company meeting & golf tournament.

I'm always thinking of you, friends!! :-D

~Have a great weekend~

Hey everybody!!! Just nipping on quickly from work. It's been my day at the family history centre (as well as the whole births deaths marriages thing, we also provide a genealogy service) and I'm sitting here feeling pleased with myself. I've managed to get this guy's family back to 1775 and have got the marriage certificate to prove it which is the important part! It's essential to verify everything you trace or else you could be totally down the wrong trail and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that everybody I have in his tree is the right person.

Just think about it........1775..........

The American Revolution began
Mozart composed 5 violin concertos
Samuel Johnson dines with King Louis XVI of France and Queen Marie Antoinette

and Donald Robertson married Marjory Gray in the Parish of Kirkmichael on June 11th!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!!

That is fantastic! Sounds like a reliable service I need just to find some of my family in Germany. My grandfather is from there and he died when my dad was a teen and I just wish I had some info on the family he left behind. I know I have some aunts, uncles, cousins and more there. I have tried to do some research on my own without any luck. Maybe I am related to Tanja!

That must be a great feeling for what you accomplished for this person! Job well done!
