Good morning all :???:

Good Morning, Super Survivors!
(Of the work week, that is.)

Yes, my Friends.
Here we are once again at the start of yet another weekend on our monomaniacal journey to that one and only Season.

And once again, we wake up to this:
Days to the Season: 220
Days to Christmas Day: 262
Now, under 3 weeks to the opening of the 200-day Season Window, immediately preceded by the 1/3 Christmas Day Milestone!
(Great stuff, huh?)

Well, after two coolish days in a row, I'm ready to return to Spring, which we are scheduled to do today with highs close to 70 and no rain.
Sadly, the azaleas are on the wane and monotone green is slowly returning to the great outdoors.
Can the summer heat and humidity be far behind?

Well, for that matter, can the fall.....and then the SEASON.....be far behind??

While cogitating that thought, may each and every one of you have a Simply Sensational Saturday, in keeping with the situation.

Brad, that was very nice of you!

Made, I am shocked to hear about Thomas Kincade! I have complete 24 piece ornament collection of Thomas Kincade mini village. I also have one of his pictures on my wall and a coffee cup with his artwork on it. Way too young to go!

Saturday
Our Easter Roast leg of lamb is in the oven, and it's smells great
here today also.. {haha}
We got a LOT of snow here now, and that is unusual this time of year.

We are done with the egg hunting today,
and all the 6 kids are enjoying their easter eggs!

Hope everyone is having a great day! ♥

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a nice day here with a high around 64 degrees. I have some errands to run this morning and then it will be home to do some more cooking. On another note, It's amazing that no one was killed in that navy jet crash yesterday. When you look at all of the destruction it's hard to believe that no one was home in the building they hit. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a great idea! I will leave tomorrow after work! It will be a great Easter treat.

YAY!!!!! Can you bring me some tasty cake butterscotch krimpets too? I found a tasty kake bread pudding recipe I wanna try. Wal Mart usually carries them out here but I haven't seen them in a while.

Well the guy they hired to replace me so I can move to first shift, got so mad yesterday they sent him home to cool off. Somebody told me he took his uniform shirt off and threw it on the ground. So I don't know if he is going to be back or not. One thing I did notice about him is that he doesn't take constructive criticism very well. He tried arguing with the supervisor, which is a losing battle. Like I always say, arguing with her is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you realize they enjoy it. I don't mean any disrespect to her about that either, it's just when you try to argue with her about stuff they have been doing long before you worked there, you aren't going to win. Oh well, maybe I will get to first shift before I retire in 15 or so years.

I guess I'm just going to have to move down there and take the job so you can finally get your first shift.

Made, you're my hero!!! I will wash dishes for you all the time if you can make it possible for Wayne to get on first shift!

I would really like him home in the early evening. He gets home and I am asleep 30 minutes after he gets here. I enjoy his company and would be kinda nice to see him more than I do now! =)

Thanks Made! But then you will be stuck on third shift. When this guy first started, he seemed like he was catching on real fast, but then it just seemed his attitude went downhill.

I want to be with you more too. Plus I don't like you being home alone in that neighborhood. Not the worst neighborhood in the world, but not the best either.

Good evening, Christmas family

Looks like I failed the latest test due to some technical factors....No matter. I am going to keep looking.

Isn't there some provision with these tests for a "re-take"? Surely it can't be a "one strike, you're out" proposition, especially if there were technological difficulties.

Bless you, another Tastykake fan!! When we get back to Maryland, we go to convenience stores and buy entire boxes of the coffee cakes off the rack. When our friend goes home to Baltimore to visit his family, he generally brings us back a couple boxes of whatever. You only see one or two varieties in New England, when you can find them at all. Love the Kandy Kakes, especially the dark-chocolate-covered coconut ones that come out at Halloween time. A month or so ago our friend brought us back "pancake-flavored" Krimpets (butter-flavored cake with maple frosting), but I didn't like them as well as the good old butterscotch.

Happy Saturday to everyone! :hi:

I'm enjoying a mug of "tea" made from cacao shells (cacao is what chocolate is made from). It has a nice chocolate flavor, and the only fat and calories come from the bit of sugar and dash of milk that I add. Mmmmm! Wish it weren't so pricey, though. I could drink it a couple times a day.

Cat came around a few times this week. I think Cat's a "she," and I think she may be expecting, from the look of her tummy. She dashed into the house the other day when I opened the door---something she's never done before. I was able to pick her up and take her back outside. She may be looking for a "nesting place" to have kittens in, and I'd rather it wasn't in our house!

Gotta run up to the North Shore later for an appointment and to stop at L.L.Bean to look for some new clothing. It's cool today but it's sunny, so it'll be a nice drive. (It's a little over an hour away.)

Thinking about another mug of cacao tea, but I don't want to use it up too fast---I just got it yesterday! It's a 4 oz. tin, and it takes 2-3 tsp for a serving, so it may not last long.

The Kandy Kakes are definitely my favorite. When we use to go on vacation to PA every year, the first stop we made was at a grocery store to buy a couple of boxes. Our local wal mart just started carrying them about a year ago but they switch types. One time they may have kandy kakes and the next time they may have the cup cakes. So I tend to stock up on the kandy kakes when they have them. I haven't seen the koffee kakes here but I love them too.

I may need you to come over and fan me until I get used to the heat.

wow, miss one day and it takes an hour to go through all the posts!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far. I have hotcross buns in the oven right now, never made my own so will let you know how they turn out.

Working on rearranging the living room, something I just have to do a couple of times a year much to the dismay of my son!

Our family BBQ was fun, always good to visit with everyone. Kids enjoyed the egg hunt.

One more thing. I just read that Thomas Kinkade has died. That's pretty shocking. He was only 54 year's old. My prayer's go out to his friends and family.

This makes me so sad. He was my favorite artist. I have his desk calendar for the year and I love looking at the beautiful pictures every day. I planned on buying my mom a painting for Mother's Day, but I dread to see how high the prices will shoot up now.
