Sneaky, but great, advice, Made!!!

You just have to wait until no one is looking and then pick up the ball and throw it.

Chemo starts tomorrow, 4-16, 2012. I will be receiving Cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) and Doxorubicin (Adriamycin) by chemo port and then the next day, I will receive Neulasta to help protect against infection. The side effects from the chemo are listed as moderate to severe, so I can expect pretty much total hair loss in addition to all the other side effects. I have to really get into a routine of drinking lots of water as I go through chemo. We have bought the Vitamix so I can make nutritional smoothies that will also help with some of the side effects, like mouth and throat sores and nausea. I am NOT looking forward to going through this, but I am looking forward to living.

On Wednesday, I went to the hospital to get the chemo port put it. Because of the lymph nodes removal and possible lymphedema, I cannot have anything done to my arms. So, to get an IV started, the nurse FIRST tried the top of my foot. No go. Then she tried the other foot. No go. Talk about pain!!! Then she tried the back of my hand. No go. Then she tried a prominent vein on my wrist. No go. Finally, I told her to do it in my left arm (only one lymph node removed) and call it good. It worked.

When I went into the surgery room, one of the nurses asked me what kind of music I wanted. I said, “Christmas.” So they put on Pandora and played Christmas music for me. Of course, I was “asleep” for quite a bit of the surgery, but I awoke to Dean Martin playing in the background. I asked one of the nurses if he were bored listening to the music. He said he would have been prior to his marriage. But his wife LOVES all the holidays, and he said he now likes Christmas music and loves to celebrate all the other holidays, too.

CM3, I am thinking of you and Ivy. Hopefully, things will work out, physically and emotionally.

Xmas, I wish we all could be there to partake of the Star Wars cake. I love cake. Hmm. I think I will make one later on!

Made, You are such a great uncle. I hope the doctors either find out what is really wrong or suggest another opinion!

Have a great day, everyone!

had a beautiful sunday with friends, going to the movies to watch Ben10 Destroy All Aliens...then have some food at KFC´s, then off home, going to a playground with Kandice....having coffee (I) and icecream (Kandi) and then off to my grandma to kinda console her, since she had a really, really bad day ....she misses grandpa so so so so much...she wishes she was with him....which breaks my heart....for her...and for me, too...I could not imagine losing her this year as well....:(.......my mother is helping her where she can, we are trying to comfort her......but her son....who is living right behind her house....doesnt go and look after her a bit....he just ignores her....nobody knows why.....but he and his wife are pretty much dead for me....horrible people

Good Morning, Christmas friends!!

I think this is the last day of the cold front :(
80's & 90's later this week...
I so enjoyed the cooler temps, clouds & rain.
Sounds strange, but I get sick of the constant sun & warm weather...
I need 4 seasons!!

What's your plans for the day?

I have more housework to do, and bedding to wash.
Fun stuff, let me tell you!

Sending special ((Hugs)) & support to CM3.
~Praying for you & Ivy~

XOXO

Thinking of you all today~ God bless!

Right now I wish I didn't in a way but then I wouldn't be me.....

I am praying for all those in the path of the recent horrible storms...My God....to have your home wiped out or lose someone in a tornado....that would be beyond horrible....xo

We are all doing well, thank you for asking. I am more tired from the kids being non stop here. My sister's littlest one has been whining and crying the whole time, I feel like I am on edge right about now. Work will be the relaxing place this week. cheesy

She is doing okay. Her headache finally went away after 2 weeks. Now we are just hoping that the Neuro has some ideas on tuesday and that she gets a good report from the Rheumy on friday.

And we will be praying for that!

I will keep you in my thoughts, as always. I think their are a lot of "closet" Christmas music lovers out there.

If you like hockey, turn the Pens vs. Flyers game on. It's getting good!

I love my hockey, this game is getting nasty, the refs better get control or someone is going to get injured. The Pens are playing like a minor league team, Fleury is letting too many rebounds out, and Philly is taking advantage of it. I hate Philly but JP loves them.

The poor thing. It's great she has you guys. I am sure it's really hard for her.

Yea, I do have to agree. Asham shouldn't have did that hit.

May I ask a question? (haha I already did cheesy )

With the weather being so crazy across the country, today it is in the 80's and tomorrow it will be in the 90's, I can't help but to feel worried about tornadoes coming through here again. When it happened last June it never crossed our mind, and a tornado like that coming the way it did through a 39 mile path right through the middle my town, I worry it could happen again. I know it is probably a once in a lifetime event. But I can't shake the fear or worry of what I saw 10+ months ago. Is this normal to feel that way? Should I go talk to a shrink or something?

It's not crazy to be worried. It could happen anywhere. If you think you woul feel better by talking to someone and it's really making you're anxiety bad, then maybe go see someone.
