hey if you saw the peeps that drive ice cream trucks in this town....you'd never stop them. they look like ex cons out on parole & the trucks...just about as bad! i've been hearing them for a while too.

That's how it used to be here too. Now we have a young guy with a brand new truck.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a warm one here today with some rain moving in tonight. Then cooler temps move in tomorrow. I have to run to the grocery store this morning and then I'll be home to do some cleaning that I've been putting off. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

.....when there is a suggestion that maybe - just maybe - Christmas Season 2012 may not be really so far off now!

Cool weather continued yesterday and we struggled to approach the mid 60's.
Should be a bit warmer today with still a chance of rain.
Currently, we show 58 degrees on our back door thermometer.

Just wanted to elaborate on 1 thing real quick. Ya'll don't care but wanted to explain this.

My oldest (22) son's girlfriend is just that...a girl friend.
My son's (20) fiance is ,well, his fiance. I wasn't talking about them when i said they had broken up & gotten back together.

We like my oldest son's g.friend fine but our soon to be d-i-l is like another daughter to us. I'm really not partial it's just that jazz(g.friend) doesn't come around much & hasn't been in our lives as long.
Amber (fiance) is very close to us, is here all the time, always doing things w/ us, & has been in our lives quite awhile now.

After looking over this post it makes me sound like 1 of those horribly wicked monster in law's but i promise i'm not!!! You believe me, right?:%

It' still overcast here, but that's ok: it's Friday, and I don't have to work at the store tomorrow!

Nancy and Elizabeth are going to an annual play tonight called "Tales From the Altamaha", which has become something of a sensation around here. It's in Vidalia (of the Vidalia Onion fame), and they'll be out most of the evening. So Jacob and I have a guy's night. I hear those hotwings calling my name!

Good morning, everyone!

I am off today and I got a lot done yesterday. I am hoping that my mom isn't busy with work so she will go see the Hunger Games movie with me this afternoon. I read all of the books and it looks very good.

I was just watching the Weather Channel and they showed a European model for my area next week. According to the model, we are supposed to get over a foot of snow!!!! Could you imagine in April?! We've had 70's, 80's, and now if we'd get that? It would easily be the strangest April ever. I hope not though because I planted a ton of flowers and they would all die.

The Penguins play again tonight and I have the same anxiety that I did on Wednesday. We have not been playing well against the Flyers at home, but this is another do or die situation. If we could win this one I'd say we have a really good chance of taking the series.

Happy Friday everyone. Looking at a rainy weekend starting "blackberry winter". Sunday - Tuesday forecast highs in upper 50s with a lows in low to mid 30s. I love these temps but dread summer's heat & humidity.

Sad to see the high school baseball season winding down. We only have 3 regular season games left. :-? At least our son is just a sophomore so we still have 2 more years to go.

Yes, but the less they make, the less ornaments I have to buy for DH! I'm waiting for the Commander Troi ornament to come out. I'll have to buy at least two of those---one for DH & one for our real-life Deanna Troi!

Well I guess spring is offically here. The ice cream truck just drove through my apartments.

I saw a "slushie truck" one day this week. They do come out by our house in the country, but we'd never hear the music if we were inside. Our driveway is so long, we'd have to run up the driveway & stand at the top of it waiting for the truck. DD has had one slushie from the truck when we were at a birthday party at the park. She wanted one, but didn't like it (of course)!

Dateline NBC just did a story about criminals possibly using ice cream trucks to lure children. Absolutely disgusting!!! What a scary world we live in.
