Good morning, MMC friends! How is everyone today? I'm well, DH and I just baked some muffins and did a few things around the house, so now we're just relaxing with the kids, as they're sitting her playing and watching Disney Jr.

Not much going on here today until this evening. As I mentioned yesterday, we just have to go to my in-laws this evening. We're finely getting together to celebrate my birthday, plus my MIL's birthday was just the other day, along with my in-law's anniversary, so lot's to celebrate!

We had talked about making chili for lunch, but I am not sure what we'll do. I guess we'll see what mood strikes us!

Hope everyone has a great, Christmassy day and all you, your families, and furbabies are well! Smilies! Talk to you later on! :yahoo:

Good Morning, Christmas family

It is sunny here in Ohio but a little chilly still. So far the weekend has been pretty nice, other than Friday, of course. In just a few hours we will be taking Hermione to her puppy class. Last week they took pictures of anyone's pup who wanted them for free and had the pups wear a graduation cap with a toy that looked like a diploma in front of them. Of course, we had Hermione's pic taken. I don't know how well it will turn out as she was just extremely wigly as she always is. during the photo session but I think the photographer may have gotten her. We will see when the proofs become available.

The house is just a little emptier than it was without Ivy. I am so used to her being with her "brother" Wishbone looking out the window at this time of day or sleeping on the back ot fhe loveseat. I could not seem to fit exercise in while I was working 1-9 every afternoon. Maybe I will be able to again now that I will be on days again.

CAH you have been on my mind so much these past few days. I know what you are going through having lost both brothers and my first husband prematurely and I feel so much for you. I am praying for comfort for your family.

As for me, I know we did the right thing even though it was a hard thing.

Ivy was always the "alpha" dog here (other than me of course) and even though she only weighed 12 pounds, everyone else took heed when she would "speak". If she didn't like something she would nip her siblings in order to tell them to back off.....she was not vicious though, she just didn't take any stuff from anyone.

I don't know why but death or loss always leaves me feeling so exhausted. I have been sleeping lots these past few days and still when I am awake I have a very lethargic feeling. Not very motivated to do anything, except of course, eat. I am compensating with foord right now and I know I shouldn't be but that is a conscious choice on my part. Once I get established in my new job which starts this week I plan on trying to return to my diet and begin exercising.

I know that God loves all his creatures and I also know if people go to heaven dogs and cats and animals all certainly do. They are completely innocent and not guilty of anything except wanting to give unconditional love to their people. I never considered myself Ivy's master nor do I think of myself that way with any of my furkids. I am their caretaker, their pet parent. Not someone who "owns" them. How can you "own" a living being anyway ??

For the first time since Ivy passed I looked at the Hallmark Dream Book yesterday and picked out ornaments I want this year. I know I will see Ivy again as I hope I see all my furkids I have lost and I am looking foward to holding my "little bean" again......

Thank you again for all of your messages and love and kind words. Christmasstar - Thank you for that amazing article you sent me. I may have thanked you before, I just can't remember. if I did thank you before, just ignore me, I am still not quite myself. You have all given of yourselves so much during Ivy's sickness and death and I am in awe, as I always am of everyone here.

Made - Thank you for the poem, it was the first step toward letting go and I cannot tell you much I appreciate it.

Sugar and Meceka and everyone who sent me messages I love you all so much. I hope to be here for you if you ever should need me.

Seawaters - Thank you also for what you did and I am so glad your blood tests were normal. You are so brave and such an inspiration. As we are both Catholics I mention you to our Blessed Mother each time I say a rosary xo

Xmas - Happy Anniversary. That is so wonderful. But then your wife has an AMAZING husband and she is so lucky. xo

MerryMistletoe - I am so sorry you are having trouble with your baby getting older. That is one thing as a pet parent I have never had to deal with and I know it must be hard. Watching one you love go out into the world knowing you can't control what they encounter has to be very stressful. I will keep and your family in my prayers.

Take care, Christmas family. Sorry I went on for so long. I love you all, each and everyone xo and remember - A very short time unitl Christmas in July !! Does anyone remember what those Christmas trees are called that they sold last year, you know the ones that are "instant" and light when you plug one section into the other w/o needing a wall socket or cord ?? I think my sister needs one of those.

:-x

PS - I picked a new signature just before Ivy's passing. I thought it was kinda cute - what do you think ?

That's what friends are for. I will always be here for you, no matter what you need. Take all the time you need, as I told you before. It's a part of the process, as I had said.

So happy for Hermione. Good for her and congrats to her as well and you!

I am continuing to pray for and your DH.

I personally love it! Looks like they are stuffed and ate too much for the day or are just relaxing!

Plans for today....

sit in this chair until 12:30 and look at Christmas stuff....maybe pick up a little. Go work for three or four hours, then come home and cook some sloppy joes. No race today means a little more free time. I haven't touch my yard in a couple of week, so I might spend late afternoon out there.

See ya later!

Don't work too hard! Enjoy your day!

Don't you worry, Sug.....I'm going to enjoy every last second of it!

Sounds like a plan, as long as you're enjoying yourself, that's all that matters!

Jr. is doing pretty good this year, I'm pretty pleased so far!

With the sound of happiness in your voice, I am sure you made the right decision!!!

2nd place finish, Made! Not bad....not bad.

Cookout was a blast. Hope everyone enjoyed their Saturday evening. I'm about to go settle in for a nice long nap...

Under 200 days until the season.....there is going to be a lot of excitement over the next 100 days....I can't wait to share it with you....

Not much going on here in California. Dinner is in the crockpot: stew meat seasoned with Emeril's original blend, carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms, beef broth, and barley. I also used a good mushroom gravy packet for added flavor. I will work on laundry a little later so everything will be clean in case the chemo this week isn't nice to me. I set up an appointment for Wednesday to get my head shaved. Anyone here need any extra hair? Brad, do you want to make a set of Spock eyebrows? Remember that Halloween is coming up and you might want a snazzy costume/disguise!!! Have a great day, everyone. I am working on a project that I will tell you all about when it is completed. I sound as secretive as Coach!!!

hiya sugar you lonely i was watching cold case. do you no it ?

Yes, I've heard of it, but don't watch it. I don't get to watch too much tv. I mainly read or get on here in my spare time.

Hello MMC friends! Hope you all are having a great Sunday! I almost watched A Christmas Story last night but ended up being too tired and just fell asleep. I was thinking yesterday about how much I miss my Christmas tree and all the lights...I am so tempted to get out my little tree and set it up for a few days! Would that be crazy!?! Haha!

It needs to be Christmas in July already! :wiggy:
