hey guys!! anyone out here?? TGIF it has been such a wierd busy month for me..things are happening so fast.ahhh its kind of scary but good at the same time!!! I have alot to cath up with everyone here but this weekend I have nothing planned so I hope to hang arond here! I hope everyone has a great day...actually the weather is great here highs in the 80's and lows in the upeer 50's!!!

My kitchen and even my hands smell like onions - ugh! Vidalias were on sale so my brother bought me several pounds and I am slicing and freezing them. I have some of that lemon soap that is supposed to take the smell off of your hands - it doesn't work. Good thing I always have lemons in the house!

Have a MERRY day!!

Get a metal spoon, turn on cold water, and run the spoon over the parts of your hands that smell like onion. It always works to get rid of the onion scent for me.

All of the women here who have children or furbabies, Happy Mother's Day to you early - just in case I am not around this weekend! You are all truly such wonderful people that I am so happy to talk to all of the time and you deserve to be pampered and treated right. I hope everyone makes a special effort to make you happy and to smile this weekend! And guys - be sure to treat the ladies in your life right, from your mom to your wife :] I know my mom appreciates all of the small things!

I spent the day with my mom since we are having my grandpa over this weekend. We went shopping and had lunch together. It was a lot of fun! I bought her a hanging basket of flowers. She thinks that is her Mother's Day gift, little does she know I have tons of surprises in store for her this weekend! :]

I think I am going to hop on the treadmill or go run around the neighborhood because I ate way too much pizza today!

Hey everyone! How are you all? I'm well, just tired and glad it's the weekend. So glad to be able to check back in and not be so "busy."

Weds. night I worked 12 hours and last night, I worked 15 hours. It just has been so crazy busy and it's not going to get any better until probably September or so. There just does come a point when you're pretty much burnt out. Hopefully that doesn't happen to me. We'll see.

Anything new with anyone? I'm anxious to get caught up on the posts. I don't go back to work until Sunday night at 11p, so I will be spending lots of time with you guys.

Well, I am going to start reading the countdown. Hope you're all well and having a great start to your weekend. I know I am! God Bless and keep smiling!

It's my first day back to work after over a month of health and anxiety issues. The first couple hours were pretty rough, but I think I'm doing better now. My boss has been very accommodating; he let me bring my ipod in and listen to it while I worked. That seems to keep me calmed down.

I told them about this site and they all knew I was crazy! LOL

Thank you for the tip, jennifer! I do rub my hands on a stainless steel spoon after chopping/peeling garlic - works great. Not so much with the onions, though, as there is still a lingering scent. The only thing that really works for me is lemon juice.

My best friend's dad died today, he was only in his 40's. He was using a bucket truck to cut down a tree and accidentally hit a power line. He was electrocuted and did not survive. I am completely mortified, horrified, and I don't even know what I can say or do for my friend and her family. Prayers are appreciated.

I haven't nearly enough time to catch up on what I've missed, even the greeting at the top of the page only mentioned I'd been away for several weeks, I'm sure it's been longer than that. I'm not really back in full merry swing yet. This is a really busy time of year for me and it's going to get busier as my workload and family obligations increase. I said to myself, take a break and go make merry with your Christmas buddies - so I am.

Tomorrow at 12:30pm my 3.5 day weekend begins. Woooohoooo! My foot really needs it. JP has his first baseball game tomorrow, I am so excited for him. We have been working with him on his fielding and hitting, more so on his fielding, because he has been hitting the ball hard since he was 3 years old. The coach has already taken notice of his hitting, and has pitched a little faster to him. His coach is a former AAA minor league baseball player, and he sees some talent there. (sorry for bragging, proud dad here cheesy ) I am watching South Park right now, just a little laughter before bed.

I know I have not posted in a dogs year, hmmm, is that really a saying??? Or did I just mess up one... HA, HA, HA...

Well, I missed you all so much, it has been just busy!!! I am still working at the New WTC, no longer the Freedom tower, we still call it that from time to time. My boss was on the news when we reached the tallest building height the other week, that was cool. Yup, still working with my families business too. So to say it is CRAZY is an understatement. My free time is spent hiking and camping, I do not even turn on an electronic device. I need the reprieve from it. My Snicker's is doing well had her check-up at the vet, all is good, she even lost some much needed weight, she was 65 lbs, she has a small frame so last year the vet asked me to get her down to 60 -62 lbs and I am happy to day she came it at 62.4 LBS!!! We were all happy, and I didn't cut out her favorite treat which is Bananas she just LOVES them. My health and hubby's is all good, ***knocking on wood*** the kitties and my little budgie are all well too!!! Now, moving right along we are having our April weather in May this year as we had our May weather in April!!! It was sunny and warm all April hardly rained at all, yet here we are in May and it has rained and has been very cool.

Well, phone is starting to ring and work beckons... I will keep ***peeking in*** to see what you are all doing and up to.

You know I live just 20 miles from Vidalia. Some of those Vidalia onions are grown in the field across the road from my mom's house. cheesy

Ahh good ole Vidalia...I use to drive through there al the time going to statesboro back in the mid to late 9o's!!! I have not been to the statesboro area since about 2001...I have friends who have been back to homecoming at GSU I want to go next year in the fall it's so beautiful in the part of Georgia then!!!
