Christmas Countdown - 2012

This has been the strangest past few days. A friend of mine that graduated with me lost her dad a few days ago. One of my best friends' father died suddenly yesterday. Today, a girl that is a year younger than me lost her dad suddenly as well.

I am hoping that this stops because I can't take hearing anymore bad news! It makes me worried about my own dad since two of the girls are my age. I feel so bad.

#1 I can look at this two ways, it sucks that I finally get some money and now have to spend most of it on a prescriptions....
#2 or I can thank the Lord he provided money so I could pay for a prescription when I needed it.
I pick choice # 2

Have not been feeling well for awhile, nothing major, a cold and then sore ear. It was not going away so went to the clinic. Yes, I have an ear infection.

Can I stay in bed for the whole weekend and get severed meals and hot tea?

TGIF!!! i don't think i could've made it another day. can't wait for 5pm today. extremely busy @ work. suppose to have a bbq here on Sunday for mother's day & i sure hope we can get this place in order for that. sister & her hubby are coming up from the beach for the day too (on Sunday). really looking forward to seeing them.

Good Saturday morning everyone!!! I got up at 330 to a screaming angry son!!! but he is okay now and back to sleep but I can't! so I am catching up here...I love this place it automatically lowers my high bloood pressure when I am logged on. Can yall believe it s basically summer now...schools around here are getting out next week,I think on weds...summer school at the high school starts the day after Memorial day on the 29th...brandi has already signed up to teach summer school because you really can rake in the $$$$ teaching summer school and then again some kids are the juvenile deliquints of society so you really should make $$$$ for putting up with that. during the reg school year she teaches Gifted which is a level higher than advanced kids...but she teaches Shakespearian stuff...and the kids are usually good although she has told me she has the rep for being a very hard teacher...but she is fair this is her 2nd year teaching and she actually already won teacher of the year( in the whole county out of 15 schools)...which is really hard to get but the students vote...alot of kids thinks she is one of them because she is so tiny she is only 4 10 actually and I am 6ft 1..so I guess we are the odd couple...anyhow sorry for the ramble but I do hope everyone has a good sat!! wwhat is anyone having for breakfast? I think I am going to have a bagle with honey nut cream cheese! hmm!

what up...just watching Bad NEws Bears...but the new version with Billy-Bob Thornton.....i love all the bears movies....and especially the tv series...that is how i got to know dem bears....after that a christmas movie is in the wwaiting

I love the original with Walter Matthau, we were joking about the sponsors on the back of the jerseys at JP's game and I brought up "Chico's Bail Bonds" on the back, no one else except my father in law recognized my reference. He thought it was funny.

Hello everyone! IT's almost noon...where has the morning gone??!! I have had an okay morning....since brandi is pregnant she gets sick easy anyway and snowball shall we just say had a bad stomach ummm everywhere on my hardwood floor...luckily I have a shark steam cleaner!!! I saw the commercial and just had to have it...so now I have put snowball to bed and hope he gets better soon.Meanwhile I have a queasy stomach and loss of attettite which says alot!!! I hope everyone is having a great Saturday!!!

Wow that looks nice! It looks to Brimfield had a tornado too....was that the same time/ torando your town got hit xmas? I think Nathan who lives in south Hadley had the same one you did...or at least when I was talking to him on the phone I could here the horn going off...Its been a year now hasn't it?

Yes that was the same tornado, Brimfield is the town next to us, our favorite pizza place is in that town, the tornado's path followed right next to the road we drive to get there. You can see the torn up forest from the pizza place. June 1 will be the anniversary of the tornado, the tornado missed South Hadley, but I am sure when the thing started in Westfield, and moved eastward they may have thought it could have turned that way. There was other tornadoes that day also, so it could have been one of those.

Good morning MMC!!!

I know I have not posted in a dogs year, hmmm, is that really a saying??? Or did I just mess up one... HA, HA, HA...

Well, I missed you all so much, it has been just busy!!! I am still working at the New WTC, no longer the Freedom tower, we still call it that from time to time. My boss was on the news when we reached the tallest building height the other week, that was cool. Yup, still working with my families business too. So to say it is CRAZY is an understatement. My free time is spent hiking and camping, I do not even turn on an electronic device. I need the reprieve from it. My Snicker's is doing well had her check-up at the vet, all is good, she even lost some much needed weight, she was 65 lbs, she has a small frame so last year the vet asked me to get her down to 60 -62 lbs and I am happy to day she came it at 62.4 LBS!!! We were all happy, and I didn't cut out her favorite treat which is Bananas she just LOVES them. My health and hubby's is all good, ***knocking on wood*** the kitties and my little budgie are all well too!!! Now, moving right along we are having our April weather in May this year as we had our May weather in April!!! It was sunny and warm all April hardly rained at all, yet here we are in May and it has rained and has been very cool.

Well, phone is starting to ring and work beckons... I will keep ***peeking in*** to see what you are all doing and up to.

Okay all the men here please sympathize with me here....I have vowed to watch a whole day of Hallmark movies with Brandi..Now I plan to do this without verbally complaining to her...which means I have to do THAT here!!! I sent my mom some roses and candy for Mothers day...she lives like 2500 miles away. I have a brother and sister in law that are going to bee there in Oregon with her. Brandi's folks like up near Boston and she did the same with her mom as I did. We plan on seeing her folks in July when they fly down. Okay now I have to watch movies for a bit!! good afternoon all!

One of our cats is very sick right now, our oldest cat Milo, who is 14 years old, we brought him to the animal hospital, and right now they don't know what is wrong with him, he has dropped a lot of weight, he won't eat, he won't use the litter box correctly. My wife has had him longer than she has known me, she is really distraught about him, please keep Milo in your thoughts and prayers.

Besides that my 3 day weekend has been pretty relaxing thus far, not much planned for today, except for making that chocolate covered bacon, and throwing something yummy on the grill for dinner.

Hallmark channel exists after Christmas? cheesy j/k I am sure there will be something worthwhile on. I can't help but to complain about some of the movies my wife watches, but I let her have the remote most nights, I have 82+playoff Bruins games I watch every year, so she deserves it. I just hope and pray she doesn't put those Twilight movies on, I cannot stand them. cheesy

My Appetite Is back now and brandi is gone to get stuff for a salad,and I just put a tortellini in the oven. Should be done in an hour. All of a sudden it's got windy and overcast!! I love overcast days...it's been sunny alot lately although we have gotten a little rain. There is a 40% chance tomorrow and monday but only a 10% today. It's muggy though...highs in the 80's it seems the A/c is running all the time...people up north have large electric bills in the winter...but us southernors have our huge bills in the summer months..mine gets about 400 ir 450 in July and August. I think it was even 500.00 once last summer...Anyhow...I hope all the mother and mom's of Furbabies have a wonderful weekend!!

Thoughts and prayers going out to Milo...I always heard(wives tale) that when cats use the litter box incorrectly that means they are mad or upset about something...who knows..but I hope he gets better soon. Just looking in ... no special plans this weekend, which is GOOD thing. Mr. will be doing a few hours of "dad duty" later this afternoon and again tomorrow morning. They have reduced FIL's medication dosage, and that seems to be helping a bit---he's now sleeping some at night instead of keeping everyone else awake.

It's a GORGEOUS day here, so we'll probably go out for lunch before Mr. heads to his parents'. Listening to some Hawaiian music this morning. About to get a mug of tea, then crochet. Had to put aside the wedding gift afghan, because Mr.'s godson and his wife had a baby, and MIL wants me to make him a baby afghan.

I need that tea---I'm drowsy and rambling. No, I didn't just get up! The household chores and the relaxing music account for the drowsiness.
