Well the good news is my niece is in a better mood today. The bad news is that she hid her allergy medicine because she said it was nasty and didn't want to take it anymore.

Oh no...so which day turned out to be worse?

I have been thinking about Christmas more than ever in the last few days. I was telling my daughter how Christmas Eve will not be the same since my uncle passed away.

It has been a tradition for the past 30 years to go to my uncle's house on Christmas Eve. I had mentioned on here before how his 2 bedroom, 1 bath house is so small and somehow we would cram over 20 people in there every year! It was a tradition that I wouldn't have traded for the world. It was kind of comical how we had to practically "step over" people to get from one room to another, it was great!!! His house will be sold so that part of Christmas is gone for good. It's sad but we will move on and will find new traditions to start. I told my daughter that I will bring in a bunch of extra furniture in my house this year to make the house crowded and it will feel like Christmas Eve at my uncle's house!

Sometimes tragedy make some dread Christmas but somehow it's my therapy and I need it more during times like this! I don't know if it will always work but I have been through a few things in life that Christmas was a huge part of healing.

Have a Merry Day everyone!

Your right christmas eve will never be the same again but our always have the lovely memories in your heart.
And sometimes when this happens. it breaks up the whole thing of being together like at your uncles
The small house and so many people in it. but bet it felt so chrismassy.
But as you say your make new traditions and always remember the old

Good afternoon,

One of our cats is very sick right now, our oldest cat Milo, who is 14 years old, we brought him to the animal hospital, and right now they don't know what is wrong with him, he has dropped a lot of weight, he won't eat, he won't use the litter box correctly. My wife has had him longer than she has known me, she is really distraught about him, please keep Milo in your thoughts and prayers.

Besides that my 3 day weekend has been pretty relaxing thus far, not much planned for today, except for making that chocolate covered bacon, and throwing something yummy on the grill for dinner.
Enjoy your Saturday!

Hoping milo bes ok 14 is a good age for a cat.

Well we have watched 2 movies and eaten and are full...I just put jordan down to sleep and we are thinking of taking a nap ourselves!!! so I will talk to yall later thisafternoon/evening. have a good afternoon all!

Wow no posts in 2 hours! I am reminded that May and June tend to be very slow months here on MMC,I guess cause summer is here the weather is warm and it seems,to me at least to be the furtherest(is that a word?!) point from the Christmas season we have been all year...I am so excited that summer is here but just for one reason: and that would be FALL! summer has to come with all of it's traditions,ie: vacations, cookouts, humid muggy weather where you stick to your car's seats even with the a/c on full blast!! and then when you think you cannot take it anymore Autumn comes...the best time of the year!!! october november and december are the 3 most glorious months of the year!! I can't wait until July..I think that is when we all here at MMc start really goin nuts!! last year I was deployed all summer,,,cant believe it's been a year now,but this year I will be here all summer to count down to fall!!

ETA: Yes I think it is totally ironic I am married to an english teacher...and quite frankly she would be horrorified to look at my posts here..we have only emailed each other a few times..we text a little...and yes she corrects me when I am wrong!!!

I am married to a teacher who has a Master's Degree in English, I have learned to use correct grammar, and thank God for spell-check. I have been and still am corrected often.

How come every time I go to a event that my sister is in charge of I have to stay and help clean up? Now I'm exhausted. So I think I'm going to squeeze a nap in before the race.

I have been plain lazy today my friends!!! after 2 weeks of non stop work,it feels like a mortal sin to have a day off to goof around! I kind of want to go back to bed to nap...I have eaten all day and most of last night...my trainer josh just called and said I had to do double duty in the gym next week...I have gone up to size 33 in pants..i have been 32 size since my 29th birthday so I am gaining some middle age wieght I guess.lol I am pushing 40 and not liking it at all! I will need a sedative for my 40th...anyhow I am having a great weekend..Ihope all of you are too!

It's 6:22 and I am ready for bed! I think Noel and I are getting colds, blech! Nothing worse than being sick in the warm weather.

OMG that eye reminds me of my favorite movie of all time it came out in december 1974...and it's a Canadian film called Black Christmas...it's soo good..it's a little known movie but the eye thing just reminded me of that movie and "billy"

Okay I just have to say thank the Lord above for DVR's!! Today I have learned that Hallmark channel has so many commercials it's like the commercials are the show and the 5 mminute break in between them is the movie instead of the commercial!!!it's like constantly hitting the ffwd button! unreal...okay these movies are plain sappy...although I love looking at Lacey Chabert at all times. I mean I have to find the positives here...I think I am going to turn in early because I could be up all night with Jordan the terror of nights!!

Xmas, praying for Milo! I hope he gets better soon and that you find out what's wrong with him.

What a loooooooong day of cleaning. I unpacked all of my summer clothes and packed away all of my winter clothes - talk about a chore. I have so many clothes that I have to take them out of like eight drawers, my entire walk-in closet, and three bins. I was sorting through my clothes and putting them in "keep" and "donate" piles. I love giving clothes to charity, especially because I always picture in my head that another girl somewhere might love them. Mistakenly, my dad thought that one of the "keep" piles was a "donate" pile because my Noel Christmas shirt was on top. I was walking downstairs and I saw it lying there. I don't know what I would have done if I was looking to wear it in the fall and it was gone! Am I weird for owning Christmas clothes? Because it sounds totally weird considering the fact that I have specific wardrobe items for the holiday season. cheesy Oh well, being normal is boring.

I just got done having a late dinner and I rented a couple of movies for tonight. I am in the mood to relax! Aside from the unpacking/packing of my clothes, I also did tons of chores in the house to help my mom out - plus I worked!

Have a good night! I need to go finish my Frosty before it melts!
