How was work today? How did it go w/ the bride?

:sparkle:

work was ok. i was thinking my flowers were coming yesterday but they will be there today. fingers crossed everything will look good. spoke to mother of the bride & she said the area they were getting married @ was under water on Monday. this bride is definitely dealing w/ a full plate. they just moved back from Australia 4 weeks ago, looking for a job, the wedding, his family here for the wedding. hopefully all goes well w/out a hitch. as for my son's fiance, yes Amber is a real doll & we love her! have a great day snowflake!!

Good Morning, Peak-of-the-Weekers!

"A 'Pining we will go.
A 'Pining we will go.
Hi-ho with Carleo,
a 'Pining we will go."

And so we reach another mid-week visit to the Shispering Pines.
.....and another count figure:
Days to the Season: 181
Days to Christmas Day: 223

Well, my Friends.
Carl informs me, in honor of passing the half way mark on our Christmas journey, EVERYTHING at the 'Pines will be half off (after the first complimentary fired twinkie and beverage choice.)
Special door prize too in keeping with the theme.
Can't imagine what that could be and Carl is tight lipped.
(You haven't lived until you have seen a tight-lipped Camel.)

A bit more rain here yesterday but after today it is supposed to be dry for the remainder of the week.
It's 67 degrees here currently in the capital city.

You have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody.
See you at the 'Pines!

Have you tried Tisano cacao tea? It's loose "tea" (actually an herbal tea) made from cacao shells that tastes like dark chocolate! It's heavenly with a splash of milk and a little sugar---all the chocolate without so much fat.

You've got me in the mood for a cup of tea now. At this hour it'll have to be decaf, though!
I have tried a similar flavour, but not on a Tisano

think of all the nothing to do because its summer days coming up..wait, that would be for your kids!
Well, you can still enjoy the peace and quiet of an empty school.
Have fun with the grads!

That sounds fabulous!! I've never been on a train trip, I hear it's definitely the way to see the layout of the land. My best friend says it's the only way to travel =) Enjoy!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!
I haven't been to Seaworld sine I was a little girl, would love to go again someday. Post pics, please!!

I have been on a couple of cruises but I actually prefer train travel over that. It's not near as luxurious as going on a cruise ship and you get a much better menu of food on a cruise. We always book a roomette when traveling a long distance and especially staying overnight. It can actually cost more than going on a cruise if you get a roomette but I love to have a bed to sleep in and a shower is nice! It also includes all your meals when you get a roomette but like I said, there is a lot more variety and 24/7 food on a ship. The train serves 3 meals a day and if you want more you have to purchase from the snack bar which is kinda junky food to me but no biggie. I am not knocking going on a cruise because I still love that too and hope to go on another!

My all time favorite train trip was from Chicago to Emeryville, California which we stayed on the train for 3 days and it takes you through the Colorado mountains.

My mother keeps hoping Amtrak will have one to take us to Vegas. (Her favorite place). They have yet added a station there where you live but they do offer a shuttle to Los Angeles to hop on the train there.

Sounds awesome! :sparkle:

Last day for kids company and then we are off for the summer. Will be decorating cookies for dessert after the pizza. There will be a video for the parents and just some more fun stuff.
But, I am glad it is over for the summer! Such high energy, also a lot of fun.

It's raining and cloudy again today ... after this we're supposed to have warm, sunny weather for a few days. Well, it's about time!

don't forget......tea @ the pines!

Count me in!
Maybe Christmasstar can make up a special loose-leaf 'Pines blend? I'll bring my tea ball ...
