And what is surely simply sizzling is the fact that we are nearly down to sssssingle digits to our next Milestone, the 200-day Christmas Day marker!

The humidity is definitely with us but the temps are not too high yet, so it's pretty nice.
Currently, we read 69 degrees here in the cpaital city.

Sad day here, we brought Milo to the animal hospital this evening, something was not right with him. The Dr. found a tumor the size of a golf ball in his stomach, we had to have him put to sleep, we will miss him. It has been very tough night.

From the sounds of it, there is a major storm headed this way- we are going to get hit with some heavy rain. I checked the radar and it is a ways out yet. My poor plants - they were just planted yesterday and are still so fragile.

Good morning,

It is bright and sunny here, suppose to get close to 90*F, we will be staying home today, doesn't really feel like a Six Flags day now. We told the boys this morning about Milo, since we didn't get home until after 10pm last night from the animal hospital. Our 4 year old doesn't really understand it, but our 7 year knows what happened. We will be doing a little ceremony and will be burying him in the backyard, my wife will be doing a garden in his honor. She is really devastated, she has had him longer than she has known me. RIP Milo.

Stay Safe and turn on the fans so it heads this way!!!!! It seems like forever since we've had a good thunderstorm. Of course there are about 300,000 people 20 miles from here that are happy that it isn't headed this way.

Good Race Day Morning MMC!!!!!!!!! It's going to be miserably hot here today with a high of 95 and 74% humidity. I'm kind of depressed since I'm not at the track but as soon as I step outside that will go away. My brother in law actually called last night and wanted me to go but there was just no way I could stand the heat. I would've of spent the whole race in front of one of the big misters. So if anyone wants to go my BIL has an extra ticket!! You just have to find him in the crowd. I guess that I've kind of been spoiled. I've been out to the track so many times that some of the specialness has wore off. I mean it's kind of hard to go sit in the stands after you've worked in the press box at the start finish line. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry to hear about Milo. I will be praying for your family, especially for your wife. I am sure it'll be a tough few days for her. At least he was put down before he got way worse - a golf ball sized tumor does not sound pleasant. Again, I'm really sorry!

I will be praying for you that you stay safe throughout the storm! Isn't a shame how the weather can change so quickly? The same thing happened to us when we planted our new flowers. I just bought beautiful hydrangeas and they died from the amount of rain and the wind we had. Maybe you will get lucky and the storm will change direction!

Good morning, MMC!

We are going to be grilling out today, just my immediate family. My grandpa might be stopping over at some point, but if it gets too hot outside he probably will just stay in the air conditioning. My mom and I marinated chicken yesterday evening and we put it in the fridge overnight. Hopefully it tastes good! It's only 11:30 AM and it is already 84° here, so I am expecting it's going to be a very hot one. It's supposed to be a high of 93° which is way too hot for this time of year, if you ask me. I have no problems with temperatures in the low-mid eighties, but anything warmer and I can't even stand going outside. We have a chance for storms later on, but I hope that they miss us so we can enjoy the cookout.
