Christmas Countdown - 2012

I have been feeling the same way myself for the last two weeks. I have been thinking its the heat (too hot and too early, in the year) and the allergies as well (they're killing me).

My wife works in the hospital and also ER main labratory at a local hospital here and she has been coming home every day trlling me that they are just getting slammed with all the sick people coming into the ER every day. She told me today that she got (2) positive flu test results back today from people that came in sick... Yhere is also a real nasty head cold going around here locally as well...

y'all take care of yourselves so ya' don't get it. hope your allergies clear up soon!

Hello my Christmas friends! I haven't been around for probably a good 6 months and for that I apologize! For those that remember me, I've missed you all. To those that I don't know, hopefully I'll be around a bit more often and can get to know you.

I could try to catch up on the last 6 months, but I don't think there is any way to catch up on this many posts. Ya'll have been busy! I think I'll just jump right in and try to keep up from here on out.

The only major thing happening in my life is that I found out in December that I was pregnant and due this coming August. In March, we found out that our little baby is a girl! Well, 2 weeks ago, we found out that our little girl was going to be making an early entrance to this world! I went to my regular OB appt and after the regular checks, I was told I had pre-eclampsia and needed to go straight to the hospital. After 3 days of strict bed rest at the hospital and multiple blood pressure spikes that put me in danger of a stroke, they delivered our little girl, Charlotte Mae, by emergency c-section on May 18th at 28 weeks gestation. She weighed 1 lb 15oz at birth and was 14 inches. She is tiny, but she's a fighter!

Little Charlotte is doing great. She's in the NICU and will be for 2-3 months. But she was only intubated for 24 hours and then was taken down to just having a little bit of oxygen flowing through a nasal cannula. They are hoping to have her off of that in a week or so. Her only complication so far has been a heart murmur that they treated with medicine and it has already healed up. She really is doing great and her only focus at this point is to grow, grow, grow! At 2 weeks old/30 weeks gestation (tomorrow) she is up to weighing 2 lbs 2oz. We've got a long way to go still, but so far we are great!

Anyways, I look forward to getting back involved and seeing how each and everyone is doing. I have missed having the every day reminder of Christmas in my life - although my older DD keeps it very real and is clearly taking after her mama in her love for Christmas!

June 1st and we wake up to SNOW!
That's never happend before!
It's all gone now. But SNOW in June?
And in the Kindergarten thay had made a tiny snowman!!!

I don't know why I've been so tired the last couple of weeks. Well I think the heat had something to do with it last week but not today. I even took a 2 hour nap this afternoon and I can still barely keep my eyes open. Oh well. I'm going to call it a night and head to bed super early. I can't believe it's June! Half a year ago we were in the thick of it, picking our tree and doing all sorts of Christmas activities... and now we're half-way back there!

Today is our 30th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe. We spent Sunday night in Gatlinburg, TN just to get to get away for a couple of days. Weather was clear but hot. We did go to the 'Incredible Christmas Place" in Pigeon Forge. I always feel better just walking around there.

June 1 is the anniversary of the tornado, the National Weather Service just announced that a county west of us, and New York State is in a tornado watch until 9pm tonight, it is too close to home right now. The anniversary has been stirring a lot of emotions around here, and to have this now 3 days away from June 1 is freaking me out a little right now, once again just like last year I won't be home if things change. Now I will feel very stressed out at work tonight.

1st question- Are you sure that your phone is connecting to your network and not someone else's unsecured network?

If it is connecting to your network then it sounds like the wireless modem isn't accepting the security code the laptop and tablet are giving it.

Have you tried dismissing the network from your computer and re-adding it?

If not go to the control panel on the laptop and select network and Internet. Then click network and sharing center. Next go to manage wireless networks and select your network. Then click on remove. Then you can add it back on.

On my tablet I can go under the manage wireless connections and it gives me the option of deleting a network off of the tablet.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I appreciate it. The Wifi, like I said in my post yesterday, started working again yesterday. You're always such a big help!

Charlotte Mae is a beautiful name! Bless her heart. I'm sure you're still very worried about her, but it sounds like the hospital is taking very good care of her. I'm sure she'll be home with you and your family very soon.

Good Friday Morning my Christmas Friends!!!

The kids are out of school so I will have all 3 of my grandchildren all day now. They will be here shortly and we plan to have some fun!

Ahhhh Friday! I go in 2 hours early and hopefully come home 2 hours early. My supervisor is off today, so I have to do her job and my job today. I wish I could just do her job and sit in the office all day, but they won't let me. Not that I think her job is easy, she has a lot of stuff she has to do. I only have to do one of her jobs, and that is plenty on some days. I actually help her out every day because the other accounts she is in charge of keep her so busy she can't keep up with our account. I work in a logistics warehouse, and we have several accounts, and she has to maintain most of them, I guess she is the only one that can handle it. She is smart, not a great supervisor, but I do respect how well she handles all of her responsibilities.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I finally had a chance to cut the grass yesterday afternoon. I have so much bahiagrass in my yard, it's pathetic. I found some stuff that you can spray to kill bahia, and I plan to try it tomorrow.

I don't have to work at the store tomorrow, so I might fire up the grill and swim in the pool after spraying the yard. Wow. I don't often get free time like this!
