Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a hot one here in central Indy where we already stand at 82 degrees. I had some errands to run this morning and now I am going to kick back and celebrate the 200 day mark by blasting the christmas music. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lear jet's fueled up and ready to go. Carl called and wants to know how many of you would like for me to lower a hammock and let you jump in and have a hydraulic lift you up, just for grins?

So good to see so many members "returning to the roost"! Every day I see a name or two that has been absent for a while.

Mr.'s overtime work didn't come in until after 12:30 last night ... he didn't get home until after 2:30. And he has to be back at his office by 10:15 this morning. I already said it last night, but: It just isn't fair. I hope he gets home at a decent hour tonight so we can at least have some dinner together before bedtime. We've had no time together this week (well, not when we're awake at the same time!), and he hasn't been able to get to bed before 1 a.m. all week. I worry about whether the schedule he has to keep---between work and helping to care for his father---will affect his health. There's very little I can do except be there when he can be at home. I hope the vacation will help, and that nothing will intervene to prevent it.

Just trying to keep this in mind: the sun setting over Mauna Kea ...

I agree about seeing everyone return. It's good to know that the christmas spirit is starting to build in everyone.

I hope things calm down for you and Mr. soon.

Last day of school for my 1st grader today. Hard to believe she will be going into 2nd in a few months. The old cliche "they grow up way too fast" is certainly true.

I had the same thought the other day when my niece finished 1st grade. It seems like just last week that I was holding her in the hospital right after she was born.

Darn it, I'll have Another has scratched from the Belmont. No triple crown winner again this year. Now I have to go back to the track and change my tickets.

Hey guys! Getting some time here to check in. DS is wiped out from the sun and needs a MAJOR nap. I just brough him up to the room. Poor little guys could barely keep his eyes open!

Hope everyone is well! I've been missing you guys and I know I'm soooo far behind, but I do promise to read every post. I love doing it and what do know what's going on in everyone's lives! We're having such a great time here and I don't want it to be over Sunday, but in reality, it has to be. Oh well.

EA is just loving EVERYTHING about this trip. That is making the trip exta special for me!

Today is my DH's birthday. I am not sure what all we have planned for night - probably do to a nice steakhouse and have them sing to him! I think we plan on playing mini golf tonight, too.

My mom is also now telling everyone that she has everything she needs too. She enjoys going out for lunch and tea with friends so we now get her what she can use too...gift cards for her favorite coffee shop and restaurant.

That sounds perfect for her, CS! I think it's great to get a gift card, something to look forward to using when you want a special day/night out!

I'm sorry your air conditioner area is leaking. My roof has a few leaks - can be quite the mess at times! It has been raining since late last night here with more of the same tomorrow. We need the rain, though! The seasonal creek dried up last week - this ought to keep it full for a few months.

Hello everyone. Things have been so busy and exciting lately. Work has been super busy and increasingly interesting and challenging. I'm doing things I was not sure I could accomplish so I'm really happy about that. Also, I'm settling into my new home. I absolutely love it. I hope you are all well. I'm going to try to catch up on some of the happenings that I have missed over the past several weeks. Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Friday!! So glad the weekend is finally here :thumbsup:
How is everything today? Any weekend plans?

We plan to stay close to home. We are burnt out & just want to relax a bit. Like ballcoach said, we are planning nothing :wink:
We'll probably do lots of grilling & movie watching =]
It's going to be hot, so the only time we'll be outside is in the early mornings & evenings. Hubby will probably get some mountain biking in, and I'll catch up on some reading. Should be fantastic!

I put out one of my FALL garden flags in our backyard. Premature? Maybe... But, I can't wait for it!!

I've been craving a Bobby sandwich lately, think I'll get one for lunch. Do you guys have Capriotti's Sandwich Shops in your towns? Well, if you don't, The Bobby is their signature sandwich. It's basically Thanksgiving dinner in a hoagie- turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo. So good!

Any new Christmas sightings in the stores? May have to check out Hobby Lobby next week. Michaels didn't have anything out yet, I was just there last Monday.

In our neighborhood you can find something like that at D'Angelo sandwich shops. They toast the roll and call it "Thanksgiving Toasted." They serve it with a little container of turkey gravy.
