Christmas Countdown - 2012

Hello everyone, I hope tonight finds everyone in good health and spirits.

Today I attended a funeral for my grandmothers sister, I hadn't seen her in a while and I feel so bad, they had a really nice picture slides that was really hard to see cause I'm such a crybaby, but it brought back lots of nice memories of my grandaunt, and grandma who I lost back in Dec 2001:-(. But on a lighter note I did see lots of family members who I haven't seen in a while so that part was nice. Well I know she's in a better place and with her sister.

Hey all!

Just hanging out with the wife. We are watching UFO stuff on Netflix...I'm such a geek when it comes to this stuff, but it's interesting. I'm not going to say I do or I don't believe in UFO's, but I am open-minded.

Tomorrow, I'm going to be as lazy as possible. My plans are to get up in the morning, pick up the house, and then do nothing. I'm getting ready for some time off and I feel like I need to practice being lazy.

Not too much scares me, but shows on aliens and UFO's scare the heck out of me, yet I can never turn away when they are on. cheesy I also look to see when they are on, Ancient Aliens, and stuff on Area 51, and UFO Hunters are the ones I tend to gravitate towards.

Just a lazy day today, it is well needed, my only plans are to put the other AC in the window on the other end of the house. I am so tired from work and staying up late from the fireworks and company. The fireworks were great, they lasted for 15 minutes and we had some of the best seats to see them.
Don't forget about Comedy Central's HalfXmas celebration of Christmas shows tomorrow.
Just watching Secretariat and resting right now.

I did have a little trouble getting on this morning, it seems better now though.

Had a lovely quiet day today, had mum round for Sunday lunch then we went for a walk with the kids and the dogs! Can't believe we are half way to Xmas! If the next 6 months go as quick as the last 6 have it will be here in no time!! I'm tempted to start looking at gifts for people!

Lazy day here, too... needed it after my sister's baby shower yesterday! Did my first trail run this morning and my butt is KICKED!! What a workout!! I am hurting for sure!!

I can't believe we are halfway tomorrow!!! My Target has toys on clearance, which usually happens in late July as they get ready for CHRISTMAS TOYS!!!

I think it is to avoid the other towns and cities fireworks displays, they also have booths and games set up so they raise more money for the town, which is needed after the tornado.

Good late afternoon, Christmas friends. The temps have been great today, so I plan to heat up the oven to make some peanut butter cookies after dinner. I am trying a new recipe that uses sweetened condensed milk and Bisquick. Today is Tiffany's birthday, and she is coming to visit tomorrow; so I thought I would have a tasty treat for her. TTYL

Hi everyone! We're almost halfway there! If I can just make it to October...I'll be good! I'm really looking forward to the entire holiday season this year with having 2 little ones in the house!

We have an election on Tuesday, whether to save the old town hall/police station, built in the 30's, which was mostly destroyed by the tornado, and is an historic building in this town, my wife and I went to elementary school there when it was a school. Or raze it and build a new state of the art "green" building for the police station/town hall which will be mostly paid for by insurance and save money in the long run on heating/cooling costs. The building is in rough shape from a lot of water/wind damage, I have seen pictures of the inside and it is a mess. So if the town votes for the new building I hope this is some of the money to help replace it.
