Made, have you checked the extended forecast today? My area has the 10 day temperature average down 5 degrees and now there are several days with a 10 percent chance of rain - one even a 30 percent.

I just looked and it's a little better. Only 2 days are above 100 and the rest are mid to low 90's. We also have a 10% chance of rain all weekend and a 60% chance on the 4th of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Christmas family

Awww...I just read that about the dog roaming who is a stray. If I were there, I would certainly probably fall in love with him ...I hope he stays safe..poor child......

How is everyone ?? Havent been on a lot between work and everything else. I am getting geared up for Christmas in July !! And my sister is coming down on Saturday this week for us to have a "sister" day together.

Wish is still in the hospital. He is on MASSIVE doses of a water pill to try and diurese him and get rid of the pulmonary edema. Dr. said yesterday he had not seen a lot of improvement, though. He was going to try another diuretic to see if it helped more......Keep your fingers and toes and everything that you can crossed.......

On the other hand........I have gained 2o pounds since April ! It makes me uncomfortable though. I was severely underweight so I guess I am "normal" weight now. I don't like it much. When I look in the mirror all I see is an obese middle aged whatchamacallit !!

I did take a test with another company over the weekend, I thought I did pretty well but haven't heard from them yet and even if I do......I still don't know what to do......I know it is ultimately my decision....it is so hard to leave something that may seem safe for something that is unknown....If I had savings it would be different. That way if things didn't work with a new company I would not have to worry about bills but as we have no savings, it could be disastrous...so we'll see. Okay enough babbletalk.

Thank you for everyone remembering to mention Wish and me in their prayers. I know he is old. I also know he was given a sort of reprieve when it was discovered it was his heart and not a brain tumor. I know no matter how long we have them it is never long enough....but I am not done loving him yet or holding him.......I just hope I have a little more time to do that.......

Take care Christmas family xoxo

Another drive to Redding today to get the Neulasta shot. We are going early to do some grocery shopping before the shot. After the shot, I will take a pain pill and head for home. As Made always says, "Have a great day, everyone!!!" TTYL

Thinking of you~ Good luck w/ this Neulasta shot, hope the side effects are minimal my friend. Rest up, we all care about you so much! xo

Finishing off my old job today and then start the new one this afternoon.
Trying to finish off cleaning up around here as I also have a cake to do for Saturday.
Now my daughter wants me to go with her to Toronto on Thursday morning, she won some kind of prize and it needs to be picked up. Better be worth it! What we do for our kids LOL

Hope you all have a great day everyone!

Good luck today!! Let us know how your first day goes =)

This weekend we are having a graduation party for our daughter graduating from High school. With the family, friends and some 25 plus high school kids planning to attend, we decided to do something different and so we rented a 60 foot long inflatable water slide (suitable for adults as well). It comes with a slip and slide, palm trees and a wading pool at the end of it. Here's a picture of it:

Has anyone ever rented one of these before? We are renting it thru a company called Astro Jump. We hope that with this and a swimming pool, that this will help keep all those teenagers happy, cool and pre-occupied!
Especially with the temperatures starting to climb back up in the upper 90's again by this weekend...

So its been a crazy week we had my oldest son's graduation party last Sunday, all was going well burgers and dogs on the grill friends and family and beautiful weather. The boys all started to play a pickup football game harmless enough right? Wrong the game got a little too rough and my 15 year old son ended up breaking his leg.Bring on the ambulance and the police, what a mess so now he's in a cast for 6 to 8 weeks and his summer vacation is looking pretty boring. Its always something !!!

Owww! I hope he can have a little fun this summer.

Good afternoon, MMC!

I went to the local mission store this morning and picked up 10 Christmas books - yay! It was so nice to find them :merry:

Stay cool everyone!

:snowball:

I love Christmas books, I am always looking out for them. I hope you enjoy them.

Good Afternoon, friends~

It's only Tuesday, and it already feels like it should be Friday...

Funny-Animals-Can-you-see-Friday-yet.jpg

Thank you to all who were praying for my friend Jason's service dog & best friend, Deuce, who was stolen from him. Unfortunately, I don't have good news. He doesn't believe Deuce is alive anymore, and has called off the search. I am so shocked & saddened by this, and my heart breaks for him. I cannot believe the evil that exists in this world. Please keep Jason in your prayers, he could really use them to heal. I just hope Deuce is at peace, and didn't suffer too much. I know they'll meet again one day.

I had talked a little about Jason & Deuce in the Prayer Request thread, and put a link for the video tribute Jason's friends had done at the beginning of the search. It is so beautiful. They really had a lovely bond. God bless them both.

Thinking of you all, and feeling extra Christmassy today. Looking at old Christmas Country Sampler magazines, and trying to get some new ideas. I just love that magazine, such beautiful homes & decorations.

For those of you who decorate for Fall & Halloween, when do you put your stuff out? I usually start September 1st. Just curious, though, because people ususally seem shocked, like it's too early or something. Like there is such a thing!

We watched Something Wicked This Way Comes on Sunday, love that movie. It never gets old. I think I may just have to buy it, and add it to my spooky movie collection. Love the pretty fall scenery in it.

I think I will lay down for a bit, and throw in It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. This Fall talk has gotten me in the mood for it =]

Hope you all have a nice afternoon/evening~

xo

Good afternoon,

errands are done, voting is done, resting and relaxing is where its at right now.

My eyelids feel heavy, I hope I don't fall asleep.

We bought some herbs to plant in the garden, so when we make spaghetti sauce we will have fresh basil and oregano. I love oregano, I always put it on my pizza and anything with tomato sauce.

Enjoy your evening, ttyl.

I am so sorry for your friend's loss, how could someone be so heartless.

September 1st is just fine for Halloween decorations, my mother in law has done that as long as I have been with my wife. We usually do ours mid September, and keep them up until Thanksgiving (fall/harvest decor) so November is a great mix of Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas in our house.

Has anyone heard from Brent lately?

I was just thinking about him yesterday. He was searching for a new job right before he vanished. So I'm hoping that he just found one that keeps him really busy.

Halfway home--- one more six-hour flight, a bus ride, and a taxi ride to get there. Then drop the luggage and hit the hay ...

I'm keeping up with the posts pretty well but not responding extensively because it's tedious typing with a stylus. Hugs to all!

Sent from my Kindle Fire
hope the 2nd half of your trip is quick & you get lots of rest before you have to head back to work!

woo hooo, hope her win was a good one! how's your son feeling?

I usually don't get to do anything Christmassy on the 25th, but I had a treat this month! I had ordered Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas & a Yule Log DVD. Both came yesterday, so I watched them last night! DD & I covered up with an afghan & watched Mickey. I just put in the fireplace DVD to see what it looked like. It was very nice. You have three choices: crackling fire, holiday music, or crackling fire & holiday music. Loved it!

Another hot day here, but only mid-80's for a high. Yesterday & the rest of the week has mid to upper 90's for highs, & no rain in sight. We need rain badly here. DD is at an outdoor VBS this week. They do swim in the lake, but I hope she's getting water & shade the rest of the day.

I'm really in the Christmas spirit the last few days & I hope I can keep it up & not wear it out by December 25th.
your Christmas movies sound awesome! stay cool!

I will continue to pray that Deuce will be returned safe and sound - one must never give up hope! As to the fall decor, I slowly trickle my stuff in around the last week of August, esp. if it is miserably hot out. Nothing like positive thinking to make one cooler! I, too, love SWTWC in part because of the scenery - it is visually stunning! Have a good night, snowflake. {{{HUGS}}} for you and Harlowe!

Goodnight, Solice - pleasant dreams to you!
