Good Morning, MMC!!

Not much going on here, just happy to be at work & not jury duty again.
I don't mind jury duty itself, I actually find it very interesting. But I hate being downtown alone, especially outside of the Fremont St. Experience- not a safe place.

What are your plans for the 4th?

We are going to grill some cheeseburgers & hot dogs, play some PS3 Move, and hang out inside where it's nice & cool.

I ordered some Christmas pop-up books last week. (At some point, not really sure when, I started collecting Christmas pop-ups! )
I can't wait to receive them. I ordered A Charlie Brown Christmas, Christmas In New York, and A Christmas Carol. The art in them looks so beautiful & detailed. And I'm not sure when I'll actually experience a Christmas in New York, so this is the next best thing. I also bought a dvd awhile back that's about Christmas in NY- awesome!

Better get back to work..

Hope you all are having a wonderful day so far!!

I LOVE popup books !!! Especially Christmas ones !! Thanks for your well wishes for my Wishbone !! I am probably not doing ANYTHING for the 4th....Just being a "couch potato" !!

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. Lulu is a half cockerspaniel / half poodle - a cockapoo! Here she is when she was a puppy:

Oh Brad !! She is ADORABLE !!

Hey everyone, long time, no see! Sorry I have been away so long. I was in Pittsburgh this past weekend with DH, then it stormed bad while we were there, so DH has to reset the wifi again. I am really starting to get sick of this happening. Oh well.

How is everyone else? I hope well. I think about each of you often. After this coming weekend, I hope to be back here full time!

God Bless and talk soon!

So nice to "see" you Sugar !!! xo

How did I miss this???

I just had my 3 year anniversary here at MMC on June 21st!!!! I didn't realize I have been here this long. Time sure flies when you're having fun! You are all a great group of people to hang out with!

Congratulations CAH !!!!! That's fantastic !!! xo

Good evening,

Just sitting here watching Spiderman, my wife and I saw this movie originally on our honeymoon 10 years ago at a huge theater in Orlando. The headache is completely gone, finally. Should be heading to bed soon .

Have a good night all.

So glad you are feeling better !! How is JP ??

Good luck finding it, I went to the Blue Bell site and it said Blue Bell is only available in the south, and midwest, so I am outtaluck.

I know at least one store here sells that brand and it just so happens that I know the frozen foods manager there. So if they don't get it in sometime this month, he's going to get an earful.

Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!! It seems like it's been longer than 3 years though.

How is JP ??[/I][/B]

He and his brother were exhausted tonight, they both fell asleep in less than 5 minutes after going to bed. Still no call from the Dr. We will probably call tomorrow. Besides that he is doing well, getting very excited to march in the July 4 parade.

Well It's official. June was the driest month in nearly 100 years with only .07 inches of rain. It was only ranked the 29th hottest though. I guess the end of the month made us all forget that the beginning of the month was pretty cool. Now I'm off to bed. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!

Hey friends! Just wanted to say goodnight! I haven't got to read today's posts yet, but since I'm off work tomorrow, I can then!!!

Did I say I was off work?

How scary. Thank God you're all ok! I wonder if that's the same storm my brother-in-law had, he's in VA. Their power was out almost 24 hours.
Hope the power gets restored for the rest of your family soon! And hope the graduation party can still go on tomorrow, but the main thing is that you're all safe. Good luck to you guys! Take care of yourselves.
Well, I have been away working at my grandfathers house since the storm hit Friday night. I believe it was the same storm that hit you brother-in-law as well. We had to cancel my daughters graduation party, my in-laws are still without power and my grandfather still does not have any power as well. I have been working back and forth between the two home (mostly at my grandfathers) I loaned my generator to my in-laws and I have two generators at my grandafthers running. I have been up at his house non-stop trying to keep the generators running, switching the electrical cords around from refrigerator to the freezers to the AC, trying to save his food and keep him cool and safe. At 94, and living by himself, I'm at my wits end of worrying about him. I went out and bought several of these coleman battery lanterns to help keep things lit around the house when he shuts the generators down late in the evening, so that he can see and feel a little safer. I hope and pray that the power comes back on soon... I have heard that the storm totals are now up to 18 deaths and 4 million people that were/ are without power, localy, we have about 200,000 people still without power. I'm going to bed now, hopefully get some rest... I will try to catch back up soon with everyone....... Thank you!

Good morning mmc friends. how is it with you all this morning
Big day tomorrow for you guys have u all plans made?
Weather today at the moment is dry but as usual it gives rain but it is very mild and close. in fact i see the sun wow
Have to pallets this morning . suitcases and furniture. so hopefully it will not take all day
I hate this time of year as i never no what to bring in. if the sun was shinning yes i can get loads of summer outdoor stuff abut its not warm enought for that . people are not thinking about sitting out or bbq,s at the moment you could not trust the weather.
Am hoping its get better and warmer as every year i have a big bbq for about 80 people and this year its on the 1st sat in augest. and as i put the marquee on the grass it has to be dry. i love from october on as thats when the christmas stuff and present stuff goes out but its hard to as people dont need it till christmas so its a paying in session.
Hoping all furbabies are doing good and behaving.. what do you guys do about the fireworks. does the animals not be scared. we wood only have fireworks on halloween night and scooby just runs round the garden barking. sasha does not bother sometimes i think she is a wee bit slow . when i give them treats i have to give scooby say 5 and give sasha 2 as he eats so quick and he wood take them of her. just 2 different ways of going on i guess
Right folks time i was dressed and another cuppa. so you all take care as you go along today and talk soon

Good morning, Solice! I'm glad the plumber was able to fix your washing machine and dishwasher. I have that book on top of my bookcase - picked up last week at the Mission store as it sounded so good - I'm so glad to read that it is! Have a Super Tuesday, too!

It's raining!

:???: :???: :???:

Good morning, MMC!

What a lovely sound rain makes - so greatly appreciated at the moment, too! I was going to go to the store today and then visit some of the thrift stores in the area as well as the library (of course!), but since there are chances there could be some severe weather later (and I dislike leaving the animals, esp. Bo as he gets so scared he panics) I'm not sure what I am going to do now. I'll check the radar in a bit and see what is going on - I might at least make it to town where the Mission store is located. Love that place - one of the places I find quality Christmas items and right now somebody is donating all their Christmas books!

Did I mention it is raining?! :???:

Have a MERRY day!

:playing:

Good Morning, Everyone.

With Monday behind us and Wednesday / 'Pines Day just ahead, we settle for Tuesday today.

And here are numbers we can all settle down with:
Days to the Season: 133
Days to Christmas Day: 175
The day after tomorrow -- single digits to the 2/3 mark to Christmas Season 2012.
Sweet!

We came in under budget on the heat yesterday. It was not as bad as predicted.
Hopefully, that trend will contiuue for the remainder of the week.
We have 74 degrees here at this hour.

Will you have a Terrific Tuesday today?
Only time will tell.
But with the magic of the Season working in your favor, the chances are good -- real good.
Just let it happen for you!
