Christmas Countdown - 2012

Happy 4th of July everyone ! It is SO HOT here and I know in many places across the US. I just cant believe it ! It is like walking into an oven ! That being said, and you are all going to know I am completely Christmas crazy with this, does anyone know if Hobby Lobby has started selling Christmas trees yet ?? Although I just got a new one last year which is beautiful, it is a "pencil" one or thin one and I am looking to get a full tree. They had some very nice trees last year in the Summe but I can't remember what month it was.

We truly have a remarkable gift in this forum. I posted a couple of things in a forum for transcriptionsts and I cannot believe the RUDENESS of some of the people !!! We do not have that here at MMC....everyone is very respectful of one another and I Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kindness to me. Nothing makes me feel worse than rudeness when all I did was ask a question.

Well it sounds like some band leaders need to have some common sense knocked into them. They always have a big 4th of July parade in Carmel on the north side of Indy and the high school bands usually march in it. Well common sense would say that it was probably to hot to make the kids wear their full band uniforms today but apparently the band leaders disagreed. Now there are 16 kids on the way to the hospital and even more being treated at the scene.

Those poor kids!

That's awesome cheesy My girlfriend just went over the weekend, and she said to tell you the story isn't that great (but who is going for that anyway?!), but the eye candy sure is!
Adrian & I are going to grill out w/ friends, maybe play some PS3 Move, and just chill. Have to go back to work on Thursday..

My wife wants to go see that, she wanted me to go with her. I don't go to the movies enough to see that as one of the few I see a year. She is going next Tuesday with her friends. I will go with her to see Dark Knight Rises though, that looks awesome.

I won't lie, the plot of the movie.. was horrible. Very awkward and.. Boring. However the "dancing" parts were nice hahahaha. But about half way through it gets old too.. All in all, not oscar worthy, for sure! Now a Movie I would love to see is Savages, it just seems very.. interesting!

my mom is back from Vermont so I took her out grocery shoppng this morning. Storm is past, sun is out and making everything nice and super muggy (same storm you had Undrtakr)
I think I will have a nice healthy lunch today, mago icecream sounds good, fruit and milk is heathy isn't it??!!

Oh my, this is so my mother!! i'm pretty sure the day i moved out i could feel her heart breaking.. my sister just graduated on friday... so this whole scenario is starting over again!! My poor parents hahaha.

I am sitting here waiting for my dearest bestie to get her butt outta bed so we can go Jog, but I fear that i'll have to wait till later now though.. as its 3 pm and its going to be much to warm to workout outside. I am also trying to decide what to make for dinner.. I want to bbq everything.. but without a bbq, it's a bit difficult hahaha. DARNIT! my wonderful mother cursed me with her love of all things on the barbie... I am sure i could BBQ a sock and still scarf it all up and want seconds LOL!

Well, I will be back later to Lounge at the pines.. hopefully carl got my Sangria request.. id also settle for a mojito or 5....:lol:

Scrabble is my game for sure so BRING IT ON!!!! I love competition! I like Yahtzee too but Scrabble is my favorite.

Good evening, Christmas family

Off tomorrow thankfully !! The fireworks are rampant around here tonight but no worry, I will protect my kids from being scared. Poor Hermione, this is her very first 4th of July....When I went out with her a few moments ago there were fireworks going off somewhere in the distance and she looked at me with that wrinkled hound face.......I just told her it was okay stayed right with her....and she was fine.

Wish does tend to "go potty" a lot Shellie but I don't care. In fact I am glad of it. As long as he is doing so that means the medicines are working !!!! I got his medicines ready tonight for tomorrow as I do each night. He is sleeping peacefully on top of Clancy's "house"......

Had a scar today !! There is a part underneath the kitchen sink where the wall is open a bit and if the kitties got in there, they could go all the way behind the bathtub. They have never gotten in there before until today.......Lily was missing for hours and I began to get panicked. My husband went out to the kitchen and started calling her while he put his hand there in that spot under the sink where the wall is missing and lo and behold, she came to him!! Poor little thing !! She was TERRIFIED !!

When she came out I scooped her up and told her she was okay while I streamed tears on her coat.....she started purring because she knows her mommy loves her xo She was so starved too !! We made sure she got some of her special food (it is a soft kind in a small green can, I think it is one of the Fancy Feast medley family) and she ate it all down in one sitting !! She stuck with me for a while but then gradually went off to play with her brother, Smokey, which told me she was fine...

I am doing NOTHING tomorrow I hope. We were not invited to any 4th of July celebrations so home is great !!

Happy 4th Everyone!

I am sitting here on my front porch drinking coffee with all the stray kitties sitting around me and my house kitties looking out the window at me. I really wish I could take these little guys in! There are 4 of them and we did get an organization to fix them all and get their shots (paid a donation to them). My neighbor and I feed them everyday and spend time with them. If I was not renting my home they would probably be inside my house! Then I could be on that animal hoarding show. I am at the limit of 2 dogs and 2 cats, not sure how well that would go if I brought in 4 more cats! I think there is a city legal limit as well. They are just so sweet!!!! Wayne, my son and I do spend a lot of time with them so they get lots of loving! My boss is so sweet and gives me discount on kitty feed for them as well.

Speaking of work, my job is closed but Wayne and I go in to feed the animals today. I just love my job!!!

I hope you all have a Happy 4th!

Thank The Lord the power was restored to both my In-laws house and my grandfathers, yesterday late in the evening. It was a crew from PEPCO (out of Philadelphia) that got the power restored for us. They told me that they have been working for 16 hours straight and that there was about 1000 lineman crews from all over the US and Canada that has now poured into Maryland to help with the restoration and clean-up.

I spent the rest of the evening last night getting my grandfathers house back to normal, and then I went over to my in-laws, jumped in their pool. I didn't get up out of bed this morning untill 10:00; I never sleep that late; I was drained.... 4 days without power, what a difference in the way you live...Well, anyway, my thanks goes out to everyone, I'm back!!!!

A friend of ours runs a lot and just finished a 100-mile race from Lake Tahoe to Placerville. She came in first in the women and 6th overall. What an accomplishment! Oh, and she did this with a broken arm, so she had on her red cast!

I'm stuffed, we just got done eating. Had way too much food!! We did mushroom cheeseburgers & hot dogs, baked beans, pickles, and chips. I made a ranch pasta salad, but we never even touched it. We'll be having leftovers for a bit.

It's raining here!!! YAY!!!!!!!! Only happens a few times each year. We're in our monsoon season until September, so we'll see more clouds & rain this time of year. Thank God! We need it.

Thinking of you all, hope to make it to The Pines later tonight!

It is amazing how much you use your power until it is missing. We lost ours twice last year once from the tornado, which was for 28 hours, and once for the freak October snowstorm which we lost it for 5 days. We had power companies from all over, even as far away as Indiana & Michigan. We were so grateful for all that help both times. I am so glad to hear your family's power is back.
