Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone had a good day today (My grandfather tells me at age 94, every day that your above the dirt, is a good day...LOL). You just have to just love the wit of someone who's 94....

I have been out in the field, doing some engineering working at NIH (National Institute of Health) for the past couple of days; felt good to get out away from the desk for awhile. A little time back I was in DC, doing engineering work at the DOJ for Eric Holder's office. At least with this job, I get to go places and see things that most people will never have an oppurtunity to do so, even when I have a bad day at the office, I try to stay positive and remind myself that I'm lucky to have a job!

I have found that if your away for a little while here, there's a whole lot of catching up you have to do to find out the latest and greatest. I just signed up for the Christmas Ornament and card exchange, and I'm looking forward to it (this will be my first year). The days are really starting to move along now, I can already see the difference in the amount of daylight that we have lost already since the middle of June.
Halloween season is coming up fast and I see that the stores are already stocking up their shelves and also, next week we will be coming up to the August 14th 3/4 mark to the start of the Christmas season - YEA!!!! Have a good night....

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I went to see the cardiologist yesterday, and he says I'm looking good. I can even have a little salt...YIPPEE!!! I had no idea how good salt was until it was taken away. I'm still planning to use it only sparingly, but a little goes a long way!

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!!!! It's a dreary day here in central Indy. We had some storms roll through about 6am and now we are waiting for the second batch to come in this afternoon. Then it's going to cool off for a few days before returning to the high 90's in the middle of next week. I think most of my day is going to be spent doing laundry and cleaning. My friend from Cincinnati went home for a few days and my buddy from Iowa is spending some time with his family. The plan right now is to leave Saturday morning for the second part of our camping trip. We were going to head down south but now I think we are going to stay a little closer to Indianapolis. I think it's just going to depend on what the weather forecast looks like tomorrow night. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up w/ a migraine & nausea, so I stayed home until late morning, and then went into work. Stressful & a tad uncomfortable there. Thanks for all of your thoughts! Things can only get better.

I know lots of people who have Keurig's and I've never heard one single person complain about it. They all love it.

That is exactly what I want to hear! I am glad they hold up well!

I am SO excited that it is football season again. I am off to finish some things and then it's time for the Steelers! :]

I spent the last hour catching up on posts, and was having some trouble w/ the site. Anyone else? It's unusually slow, and even though I'd thank posts, when I would go back to a page, the thanks weren't there. And, when I try to replay to posts, they disappear...and I get a blank page... Hmm...

Unfortunately, I don't have time to start over, so I'm just going to say hello, and that I'm thinking of all of you! xo

It's been one of those days.

We got the official word today that EA will start pre-school in September. We weren't sure if they would start here this fall since here birthday isn't until the middle of September, but they told us that they think she is ready and she's passed all of her testing. We're so proud of her - she's a little smarty.

Good evening, all! How was everyone's day? Mine was great! I slept a lot longer than I should have, but it rained on and off her, plus we had thunderstorms. It was a great day to just catch up on sleep and not do anything. DH was at work and the kids were at daycare, so I took advantage of it.

We got the official word today that EA will start pre-school in September. We weren't sure if they would start here this fall since here birthday isn't until the middle of September, but they told us that they think she is ready and she's passed all of her testing. We're so proud of her - she's a little smarty.

Nothing new here. I think I'm going out for lunch with my mom tomorrow. She's going to take a half day of work, so that will be nice. The kids will be at daycare again, since DH works daylight. I go back to work tomorrow night (I work the weekend.) Even though I do work, I am still looking foward to the weekend, I always do!

Well, I am off to catch up on some of the boards, then I have to get the kids bathed soon. DH and his dad are framing the basement tonight. It's been a LOUD night here in our house this evening! God Bless and I hope all is well in your part of the world!

Busy day at work, I am very tired tonight, but I think I found the first thing on my Christmas list (if I can wait that long) They are releasing a video compilation of my favorite music group The Move, I have an old bootleg VHS tape of them but this is new and remastered , and we don't have a VCR anymore. I am excited about that!

Last year it took about $40 in postage to send to everyone but remember you don't have to send to everyone if you don't want too.

As I remember, you don't have to send to everyone if you dont want or can't afford to. I cant remember how many signed up last year for the cards. Maureen could tell you I bet !! xo
