I am SO excited that it is football season again. I am off to finish some things and then it's time for the Steelers! :]

yeap. this household is "ready for some football" my sons & hubby went last saturday to watch the panthers practice & are going this saturday to a panthers pre-season game. when my daughter asks her dad, "daddy is there not something else on tv?" his reply is always, "babe it's football season now."

Just stopping by to check in. I MUST BE CURSED !!! The new job is turning out weird right now. i was told I would have plenty of steady work. The thing is they have me stuck on QA right now. It started out bad enough - I was only allowed to type 3 reports a day. That was Monday. Today I got ONE report. Granted it was long and had multiple patients on it but still ONE report for the whole day ?? I have written to the owner and explained my situation to her but she keeps saying "it's getting better......." She doesn't give me a window for how long I have such sparse work and frankly I am very, very worried. I am okay the for the pay the last part of August but the first part of September if I am not putting out the lines, I will be in major, major trouble......Frankly I don't know what to do. I am beside myself. I wouldn't go back to my old company even if I could. Once again, I am exhausted this evening. Worrying about money does that I guess....

the plumber had to come back yesterday to fix our problem & .....yowza! couldn't believe it when he said $1200.00 for the repair. ouch, that really hurt. had to make sure he would let me pay it in a few installments. all our $ is tied up in back to school right now. 2 in college & 1 in high school is very expensive too. this may indeed affect our Christmas this year. bummer! i was hoping to sign up for the exchange this year also!

Going to Windsor this weekend to help Mom move some stuff. William just wouldn't go to sleep last night! He didn't go to bed until 11 something. He kept wandering out into the hallway and playing with the cat. Sheesh. Well I better get back to work! Hope everyone has a Merry Weekend!

It's been one of those days.

I woke up w/ a migraine & nausea, so I stayed home until late morning, and then went into work. Stressful & a tad uncomfortable there. Thanks for all of your thoughts! Things can only get better.

I look forward to going home to my hubby & Harlowe, who always put a smile on my face.

I'm crocheting afghans and thread ornaments, making pine cone wreaths, and time permitting, sewing angels and stockings, too.

Good evening, all! How was everyone's day? Mine was great! I slept a lot longer than I should have, but it rained on and off her, plus we had thunderstorms. It was a great day to just catch up on sleep and not do anything. DH was at work and the kids were at daycare, so I took advantage of it.

We got the official word today that EA will start pre-school in September. We weren't sure if they would start here this fall since here birthday isn't until the middle of September, but they told us that they think she is ready and she's passed all of her testing. We're so proud of her - she's a little smarty.

Nothing new here. I think I'm going out for lunch with my mom tomorrow. She's going to take a half day of work, so that will be nice. The kids will be at daycare again, since DH works daylight. I go back to work tomorrow night (I work the weekend.) Even though I do work, I am still looking foward to the weekend, I always do!

Well, I am off to catch up on some of the boards, then I have to get the kids bathed soon. DH and his dad are framing the basement tonight. It's been a LOUD night here in our house this evening! God Bless and I hope all is well in your part of the world!

I think the leaves will turn color, but it will be a very quick show this year. Nature's way of protecting the trees from the drought!

It is a cool, rainy day here today - love it!!! I turned down an invitation to go to garage sales this morning as I promised Mouse I would stay home with her. She was a bit under the weather this morning but seems fine now. It is a good day to get caught up on housework and I also need to make room in the basement for the pickles I made the other day. I will be working on store stock, too. This is one of our slower months, so I am trying to shake things up and see if I can increase sales a bit. So far, I have managed to increase total sales by 6 percent. Not bad, but I know I can do better. I think maybe I will make stuffed pepper soup today ~ sounds yummy!

I have a lot of little things to do getting ready for VBS next week. I am one of the tribe leaders this year (about 6 kids in my tribe that I look after for the duration of the week) It is always so much fun!

I can never right figure out what to bring in. as ppl are trying to get kids sorted for back to school september 1st.

I know the best sellers right now is anything for a college dorm. Bedding, pillows, desk storage for pens, paper, etc. Things like that. Not sure if you carry those type items but if you bring it in and advertise as back to school it might be a hit! Good luck to you! =)

Yikes! Just remember, Christmas is not about money but good times with your family. I know money helps and is nice for sure, but you can still have the best memories without it. I have been down that road before and understand how you feel. We have had some of the best Christmases ever being broke, we got creative with gift giving. I really do hope things get better for you financially! ((hugs))

My question of the week is: Should I buy the sony wifi ebook reader or the kindle? Problem is, I have a very old ebook reader (not kindle) and ebooks with epub format. As far as I see changing epub into mobi is kind of difficult. Right now I tend to the sony ebook reader. Because I don't want to be forced to buy the same books again in the kindle edition. But I have to buy a new ebook reader because my old one is using way to much power (because I bought one with lcd display instead of e-ink - just because that one was cheaper).

I like to read english ebooks and it isn't easy to buy them in europe, because many american ebook stores only sell them to american citizen. And most european stores don't sell english ebooks. So searching for my favourite autors ebooks is quite a challenge.
