Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! We start warming back up today with a high of 85 and it looks like 90's by the weekend. I was really kind of enjoying the last 12 days of below normal temperature's but I figured it wouldn't last. I have a few errands to run this afternoon and then I have to go to the funeral home tonight. One of my old neighbors died over the weekend. She had been going down hill pretty fast since 2 of her daughters died a few years ago. So it's not much of a surprise. She was also 90 so she had a pretty good life. Well I'm off to the store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! How are you all? I am just sitting out on my deck relaxing with my family, getting ready to lay down for a nap. I didn't get to read any of today's posts, but will soon.

Tomorrow, I start 4 days off and I am so excited! We are going to a amusement park about 1 1/2 away from here. There will be a ton of stuff for the kids to do. I can't wait to just be off and have the time with my family.

Made - sorry to hear about your neighbor! Sounds like she lived a good life, but still stinks! I am with you on the cooler temps the last several days. It was wonderful!! Back to the 90's we go. At least the lows are still in the 60's! I really liked walking @ 52º this morning in my long sleeve T! Ah well.... it will definately come around again...

I just went to get the mail here at work & there it is in the mailbox - the Christmas card magazine & order form! :smile: Last night I went to the grocery to pick up some maraschino cheeries for a pineapple upside down cake (I'm making supper for my neighbors tonight - they are remodeling & they have no kitchen right now) while there I found some green cherries as well as red cherries so I had to pick up both!!! Now at Christmas I can make a green & red pineapple upside down cake!!!

Good afternoon everyone!

I haven't been here since Friday. Sorry about that. The weekend was enjoyable. But, that's far away. It's already Wednesday! ...and we're nearing the 80 Days to the Season mark! Hooray! Although I am unemployed, I have been quite busy searching for jobs. I have a few leads that I am currently working on, we'll see if any come into fruition. My fingers are crossed!

Anyway, I can't stay long. I had a doctor's appointments yesterday and it lasted about two minutes. My self-diagnosis of patellar tendonitis was correct. As expected, the sports doctor provided me with a note to go to physiotherapy. Without coverage, it will be a little pricey, but I'm hoping that it speeds up the healing process. Speaking of which, I best get ready. My appointment is at 1.

Happy Pines Day!

It's a very stormy day here! Which I'm loving!
We rarely get storms like this in Vegas, unfortunately there's flooding everywhere. Guess I'll be staying in for lunch, too dangerous to drive out there when you don't have to. Especially in my pick-up...

On my way into the office, I drove by the Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada sign. This is what it looked like!

I was re-reading one of Spider Robinson's Callahan's Place stories (for the umpteenth time) over lunch ... they are such marvelous stories. The Callahan short stories from the '70s and '80s are (in my opinion) so much better than the novels from the '90s.

Last night I went to the grocery to pick up some maraschino cheeries for a pineapple upside down cake (I'm making supper for my neighbors tonight - they are remodeling & they have no kitchen right now) while there I found some green cherries as well as red cherries so I had to pick up both!!! trying to catch the laundry up now. my son got a car back in july. my brother & him put in a new radio then his interior dash lights wouldn't work. the man we bought it from has taken a look @ it & said it probably happened when they put the radio in. something about a burnt wire in the wire harness.......anyhoo, said dash has to come out & check the wires...very expensive, he said $800& up. oh man hubby's gonna love this when he gets home. son starts school tomorrow w/ night classes, not sure what we're gonna do....uugh!

Tell him to get one of the small led flashlights and tape it to the dash. :wink:

My sister had that happen to her car once and I spent a whole weekend laying upside down on the drivers seat chasing wires until I finally gave up and just rewired the lighting system from the fuse block to the gauge cluster. It wasn't very fun.
