Good morning fellow Christmas lovers! How is everyone today? I am well. Just drinkng my morning coffee and spending time with my DH and the kids. Nothing could be better!

Yesterday was a blast - we took the kids to an amusement park and they had a blast. Even at 1 year-old, DS had some rides that he could ride. By the time we could go home and had went for dinner, I had been up for 24 hours, but it was so worth it! I love times like that with my family.

Not much going on today (like normal - I like that!) I am going to make a banana nut bread, do some wash, and of course spend time with the kids. I am actually off until Sunday night, so I am so excited. It will give me a lot of time to spend with them and DH.

Well, off to read posts! I am behind on the Countdown! I will check back in later!

Thinking of you today, Seawaters! Praying that everything goes well. Good luck and stay strong. God Bless! Can't wait to from you.

Yes, well, as yummy for the broccoli and cheese soup...my wonderful husband, who is truly a awesome cook, don't get me wrong, asked me if he could make the soup for me that morning, that way I could get to bed. I told him that would be fine. Well....

I got up that day and he left the slow cooker on high all day long. Needless to say...the soup was yucko. We ended up going to Panera Bread...haha. He knew I wanted soup so bad, so he suggested we go there for dinner!

Thanks for asking, and thank you so much for your prayers. Mr. tells me that FIL is getting quite frail. He still spends most of his time sitting up in a chair watching the TV as he dozes on and off. Occasionally he's lucid, but then again he can be vague. He DOES recognize the people around him, and even refers to them by family nicknames. It's hard to get him to go to bed and stay in bed during the night. Seems like when he's up, he wants to go to bed, and when he gets into bed, he wants to be up. I know it's wearing down Mr.'s poor mom, and Mr. too, to some extent, because he's there for several hours four or five evenings a week.

Your welcome and I will continue to pray. I am sure it's so hard, on all of you. I feel for you guys, tremendously. Although I work in an acute care setting, I do have a patient everyonce in awhile, that is with us for a extended period of time, and you can truly see the toll it takes on the family. I think this the hardest part of my job. It takes a toll on me too. It affects me too. I become attached.

Thanks for updating us and if you need anything, don't hesitate.

Radio,

Any updates on the 24 hour Christmas show you so kindly introduced me to last year? Christmas Around the World?/

A post in the Christmas Radio forum or a PM to RadioJonD should get you an answer to this pretty quick! I think he knows EVERY special Christmas program on the radio.

Well darn. I was really hoping that you would bring me a footlong meatball on white with Parmesan and American cheese.

Goodnight!!!!!

I have a picture in my mind of a long, skinny meatball on a bun with cheese ...

Thursday hello ... I'm holding down the front desk at the office today during an all-office meeting. So I'll be checking in during the day if the phone doesn't ring too much. But there are also a few people here working on one of our accounts, so there may be some proofreading as well. So it could be a busy day after all.

So sad, Xmas. Thinking of them.

Special request tonight, please keep a friend of ours and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Both her parents drowned over the weekend trying to rescue their puppy. Her father had an aneurysm while swimming and her mother drowned trying to rescue him. I am so heartbroken for the whole family.

Thinking of your neighbor's family, Made.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! We start warming back up today with a high of 85 and it looks like 90's by the weekend. I was really kind of enjoying the last 12 days of below normal temperature's but I figured it wouldn't last. I have a few errands to run this afternoon and then I have to go to the funeral home tonight. One of my old neighbors died over the weekend. She had been going down hill pretty fast since 2 of her daughters died a few years ago. So it's not much of a surprise. She was also 90 so she had a pretty good life. Well I'm off to the store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Made!

Here's hoping your job hunt is close to fruition!

Good afternoon everyone!

I haven't been here since Friday. Sorry about that. The weekend was enjoyable. But, that's far away. It's already Wednesday! ...and we're nearing the 80 Days to the Season mark! Hooray! Although I am unemployed, I have been quite busy searching for jobs. I have a few leads that I am currently working on, we'll see if any come into fruition. My fingers are crossed!

Anyway, I can't stay long. I had a doctor's appointments yesterday and it lasted about two minutes. My self-diagnosis of patellar tendonitis was correct. As expected, the sports doctor provided me with a note to go to physiotherapy. Without coverage, it will be a little pricey, but I'm hoping that it speeds up the healing process. Speaking of which, I best get ready. My appointment is at 1.

Have a wonderful day, everyone! The workweek is half over! We're nearing the weekend, once again!

a bunch of empty suits will be touring.

Ohhh... Sounds like a halloween party!

Solice - sure hope you start feeling better soon!!

Bradmac, sounds like you're gonna need ballcoach's routine!! Let us all know how that last one works out for ya! :-)

enjoying much nicer temps today, looking for a bit more rain, dreading mowing the yard...

I have to tell you that my first week held a surprise for me. My principal felt it was her right to call my doctor to "get additional information" about my ability to return to work EVEN THOUGH I had his letter stating such! I told her that she could not do that without my permission, but she would not listen. I told the union rep that I will soon seek the advice of an attorney!

Yes, this sounds like something they can for sure not do. I hope you found something out and they get told about this.

Here's hoping your job hunt is close to fruition!

Thank you! And good luck with returning to work. I hope your principal understands the meaning of invasion of privacy, too.

I had a horrible Christmas dream last night! In my dream I was sitting on the couch watching a TV show or a movie with my brother and when I turned to look at the Christmas tree it was completely bare. Then my brother said, "I can't believe it's Christmas Eve already" and our house had not one decoration in it!! I then turned to look out the window I saw people caroling across the street and we were the only house without lights on the street, we were the scrooges!

Talk about a nightmare lol. At least I know that'll never happen. My mom, brother, and I like Christmas far too much to ever forget about it!!

Lots of errands to run today - have a great day, everyone!!

Hi from NE England everyone - Hope you are all doing well...

Even though it is still August I have started to notice that the nights are drawing in - getting dark by 9pm now...

I personally cant wait for the clocks to go back in a few weeks...thats when we will really begin to look forward to the season - I find it difficult when it is warm (well as warm as it get here!) and it is still light at 10pm to really feel the spirit!

Just in the office listening to festive Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra tracks on YouTube - it was quite amusing the other day when someone in the office walked past my desk and asked "Is that REALLY christmas music you're listening too through your headphones in August?"....I just gave them a knowing smile!

I really wish I could spend more time on here with you all - I do try and pop by whenever I can...rest assured I am wishing nice wishes for you all!

Good to hear from you, tsah! Hope you're doing well!
