Sugar, Thanks for letting me know on the food. Those chocolates do look good!

You're welcome! I agree the stuff is expensive, but my parents buy a lot of things off of QVC, if it is a good deal and it is going to hold up or if they really like it! Ha!

That should have said, "without written consent."

I talked with my reconstruction doctor, and he said, "No, no, no!" A nurse at the pre-op site said that if anyone gave out info with written consent could be fined and maybe even lose his or her job! She said they would not even give out info to my husband!

.
Yesterday I ordered "A Christmas Carol" - the original with Alister Sim! I ordered the collectors edition with the Black & White & the color version. I'm pretty excited to get it! I have not been a big fan of this movie - I think maybe I was burned out on it in my younger years! But the last few years I have been "craving" to watch it, so here we go!

I have that same version, Holiday !! I really like it !! xo

AFAIK, a zip line is kinda how Kevin got from the second story of his house to the treehouse. It's a line strung between two high places, and you hold onto a thingie that rolls along the line to get you from point A to point B. (Someone who's actually been on one, pls correct me as needed!)

*Cheers and applause*

I have that edition---they have some extras, including info about how they restored the film for the DVD. Sim brings a bit of humor to Scrooge. He's a riot at the end after his transformation!

[film historian] I think the "original" was made in about 1908, and there were several other versions made before the 1950 version starring Sim---so there are more versions out there you can add to your collection! I recommend the 1935 British version starring Sir Seymour Hicks. More ghostly, rather like Dickens wrote it. [/film historian]

One of my favorite parts of the Alastair Sim version is when he has been transformed and scares Mrs. Dilber half to death and then gives her a sizeable Christmas bonus........He had the most beautiful eyes.

I would love the recipe for Smokehouse Spaghetti. You could post it in the "Recipes" section.

Good morning ~ Happy Friday!!!!

I wanted to read through all the posts before I posted myself but I don't think I will have time!

Also - yesterday I was canning spaghetti sauce - which we use for Christmas Eve in the Smokehouse Spaghetti! So since it involved Christmas & I was home alone, I turned on the Christmas music at accuradio (Christmas party tunes) to listen while I was canning - so fun! Now just when I am feeling all Christmassy...the temps outside are going back into the 90's!

I hope you all have a fun weekend planned. I'm going back to read some posts!

Make it a great day!

Okay, now I get it!

I meant to say, if they get it again!

That's exactly why I did not tell my principal that I was have surgery on Thursday. I told the secretary and signed up with "Subfinder." I have no clue why she thought it was okay to get in touch with my doctor.

I hope they learned their lesson.

When I type LOL at the beginning of a sentence, I cannot get all caps, even when I use Caps Lock. Help, please?

Jeff has it set up that way. He doesn't want us yelling at each other.

I need to get garland for my fireplace - this will be our 3rd Christmas in this house and I've never hard garland on the fireplace. I was going to look on QVC, but may just check Hobby Lobby.

Our Hobby Lobby has some awesome garland !!! It is a little expensive but very beautiful !! xo
