Hi everyone!! Did everyone have a good weekend? Any plans this upcoming week?

Back to college I go tomorrow! I can't say I'm upset, but I can't say I'm happy about it either. I was getting used to just working, but now I'll have to work and have five classes. Hopefully none of my classes are that awful.

Not feeling so hot so I am going to go relax and watch some TV. My throat has been bothering me, I'm congested, and I'm exhausted. I think the weather fluctuating is kicking up my allergies. We went from lows in the 50s and freezing to now highs near 90 and roasting - the air conditioning is unfortunately back on!

I might pop on later or I will be here tomorrow. I have class early. I hope you all have a great night & sleep well!

A late Sunday hello! Busy doing laundry, housework, yarn shopping, trying to adapt an afghan pattern into a Christmas pattern, out for lunch with Mr., more laundry and housework, then sit down for a few minutes with Mr. before he headed out to take care of his dad this evening. Now I can relax with all of your for a little while.

Jackie Gleason may have said the Miami Beach audience is the greatest audience in the world, but they can't hold a candle to you guys.

TS Isaac is supposed to hit us around Tuesday so yesterday I stocked up on non-perishable foods for my dog and me (plus 24 pack of bottled water).

It's good to be prepared---keep listening to the weather and keep safe. I'll be thinking of you.

In addition, the "Myer's Cocktail" really delivered the extra energy I needed. I am truly amazed at how my body has reacted this time! SO, if any of you need an extra energy boost, PM me and I will let you know all I can. I am a firm believer now!!!

If you still have some excess energy left, I'll take it so I can jump-start my Monday tomorrow morning! I hope you're healing comfortably.

I haven't heard any of his Christmas stuff ... must Google up a few samples. I can hear his theme music in my head, though!

I'd love to find one of his shows featuring the Suntones (a Florida-based championship barbershop quartet). I know they appeared on some of his shows, but I've never seen any of their appearances.

OH .... just came from a viewing ... our dear neighbour (original resitdent on the street) passed away ... her poor husband.. married for 68 years and said she was as beautiful now as whne he married her UGH... makes me count my blessings... and I consider this forum aka my Christmas family a big blessing in my life...

Good Afternoon Missed everyone!! Been a Terribly Busy lady lately..

Very chilly in these parts today, cloudy..drizzle..bleh just like myself! I have come down with a nasty cold.. was supposed to work tomorrow but decided that my co-workers & customers would appreciate it more if I just stayed home!

A-las It has not been relaxing here though, what with our new addition to the family!
I Like to call her our Fate Puppy. Ok, ok her real name is London & she is a 12 week old French Bulldog, Boston terrier Cross. Myself, DB & my two dearest friends went down Island to view a couple puppies (just trying to win over DB.. as he was NOT getting a puppy, no matter how much I begged & pleaded for the last year).. I honestly had no intentions of getting a pup that day (poor little thing wasn't worked into the budget!) just trying to win over Db... Anyways, we get there and there was about 10 puppies.. SO CUTE, But i knew 1200$ was just not in our equation..I ask if we could put a deposit on a pup, and with our checks combined, pay the rest in two weeks.. breeder was having none of that, Cuz I think they were moving & wanted them gone asap. Now Because I am a pansy, I was CRUSHED..so Being the little angel i am (hahahaha) I called my mom & asked if we could borrow the $... Besides the "do you really need a dog." "You're being an emotional buyer."..etc. The answer was NO. It wasn't in moms budget either.. Darn.. Again, me being wimpy I cried.. I've wanted one of these little guys for YEARS.. so I pulled myself together & went back over to where everyone was standing and let them know that we could not take a pup & left.... After all, It was just to get DB to like the cute little guys anyways (which did work!!)! about 5 mins after we left, I get a phone call..
Now, she's considered the Fate puppy because......... they offered us a little girl, which had a cherry eye for... $500!!! I WAS ECSTATIC! They said they wanted her to go to a good home, where she'd be looked after & had a feeling we'd be the right people to care for her! Yes poor little munchkin will have to have surgery down the road when she's old enough but at least I'll have time to save $.. I could not Believe it! A french Bulldog, Boston terrier cross for $500??????? Mom was able to help us out, as long as we paid her back. Little London came home with us that night: )

I never, ever.. thought puppies were so much work! Everyone warned me..but I was like... ya pshh I got this..
Ya I don't "got This" My lord, she keeps me on my feet! Love the dear thing though.. Our cats.. Are still adjusting hahaha

If anyone has any helpful tips on training puppies please let me know, cuz I feel like I am sucking big time!

I am a BIG believer in fate & Destiny... So another thing that made me go.. oooooooo was she was born on the same day we celebrate our anniversary
BTW I am so Excited to have our First Christmas With a puppy!! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone had a pleasant and relaxing weekend! Looks like everyone has their eye on the Gulf right now, seems like the storm is getting bigger and stronger as we speak... I hope and pray those poor people along the coast don't get slammed over the next couple of days!

Well, I got a chance to swing over to the Yankee Candle store today to check out the Halloween stuff they got out this year. I ended up walking out of there after spending 120.00 bucks! Couldn't help myself, I got a couple of the large candle jars called Happy Halloween (smells like black licorice) and Candy Corn, a Boney Bones large candy Bowl (50% off), some candle tarts and a Halloween house w/ double hanging bowls (that lights up as well)... looks really cool....

ohh yess... we have a similar place like that.. they carry yankee candles.. My guilty pleasure!
