A rain day here, so refreshing!
Teaching my daughter to drive, so will be out in the van lots the next while. She is over 20 and has had her learners for awhile, just needs to get comfortable with the van now before her test.

Want to get a few things done around here, have the day off so lots of time to do it.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!! Kids going back to school, football starts soon. Next the temps will go all the way down to the 80s, maybe even the 70s (fall in Texas). Then Halloween and Thanksgiving and then of course CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance:

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's overcast here and we're getting a little rain from Isaac this morning. It's supposed to be like this all week. That's ok, the grass is cut! We had a beautiful weekend with morning lows in the 60's, and sunshine all weekend.

My son and I were moving some of my signs around in a neighboring town Saturday when my truck got bogged down. Before I could call anyone for help, three people stopped to help. One of them came back with a tractor on a trailer behind his truck and pulled me out. They refused any money, and wouldn't even let me buy them lunch. The man with the tractor said the handshake was thanks enough for him...wow! I got all their names, and I'm planning to write a "Letter to the Editor" of their small town newspaper, publicly thanking them.

Now to pay it forward!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a hot week here with high's in the upper 80's all week. The good news is that the rain that was supposed to stay north of us came down last night and we got a good half inch of rain. I don't have much on the agenda for today. Good morning, MMC! I hope you all have a fantastic Monday. Don't work too hard!

I woke up bright and early today, a little bit after 6. I'm surprised I'm not that tired! I didn't sleep very well last night - the first day school jitters always get me no matter how old I am. I technically have two first days since I have different classes on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and then Tuesday and Thursday. This semester I scheduled morning classes so I should be home in the early afternoon every day. That will leave me time to work, get my homework done early, study whenever I'd like, run errands freely, or make time for friends.

120 days 'til Christmas, huh? I love that number for some reason! Pretty soon we'll be in the double digits!

Have a good one, thinking of you all today! I hope you're all well. Drive safe to work. Oh, if anyone has kids going back to school today I hope they do well! :]

Christmas pajamas and Christmas TV/movies equal a definite cure!!!

Hi All! Missy and I are fine. The wind is starting to pick up and we have an 80% chance of rain today--hahahaha!

Missy has been a bit naughty since last night so I'm going to keep her in "jail" (aka: in the kitchen with the baby gate) today while I stay home feeling miserable. Right now I feel as if marbles are in my throat, a lot of mucus in there, plus I have a congested cough. Also, my nose is stuffy and my head is starting to hurt.

I'm just gonna wear my Christmas/winter pajamas (cause I'm COLD), bury myself under the covers and take a nice nap/watch some TV.

My oldest started 2nd grade today. She went right inside and started unpacking and organizing her desk like a pro. I hate watching grow up.

Brad, that is so sweet of them! A letter to the editor is a wonderful idea. Someone paid it forward to me a few weeks ago when I went to Starbucks. It was a pleasant surprise!
