I have lived in Smithers, Prince George, Cranbrook, Aldergrove and Abbotsford.
There are only a couple of roads I have not driven on.
I have traveled all the way north, south, east and west.
Some day I will be back to do the same again!

Good afternoon! How is everyone? I am well. Woke up about an hour ago, after not being asleep for that long, awakened by the house phone. I hate when that happens.

Anyway, what's new and exciting? Nothing here. DH works tonight and so do I, so it's the kids, my sister and me for dinner. He said he was going to throw something in the slow cooker for me, but I haven't even looked yet to see what it is.

hey y'all! had my procedure on my leg today. doc said he doesn't think he will have to remove anymore after this. all went smoothly. should hear something back in the next week or so. hubby was checked out too & doc said he's good to go but froze a sunspot off & removed another something. anyhoo....
leg starting to throb a little now but i promise i'll be backl more tomorrow. good night y'all!

Britt....that fires me up! I'm not a cat person, but I am an animal person. It takes a lot.....a lot.....to get under my skin. But being mean to animals....I'd like to have 15 minutes with that 17 year old and do things to him that wouldn't happen in Mayberry.

Tired...going to bed sooner than later...check out the rest of the board...kiss my dogs goodnight (and thank God that no one is being mean to them)...and maybe kiss the wife....although she is in the doghouse....can you believe she made me cook supper tonight? I ordered pizza...

A rain day here, so refreshing!
Teaching my daughter to drive, so will be out in the van lots the next while. She is over 20 and has had her learners for awhile, just needs to get comfortable with the van now before her test.

Want to get a few things done around here, have the day off so lots of time to do it.

My oldest started 2nd grade today. She went right inside and started unpacking and organizing her desk like a pro. I hate watching grow up.

NICE! That reminds me when our friends from Pittsburgh came to visit! They noticed an "aroma" & thought their dog had pooped in it's cage. They said they were NOT showing up at our house with dog poo in their vehicle, so they pulled over to throw it in a field. As soon as they did, someone pulled up behind them & they thought they were going to be held a gun point or something! The guy asked if they needed help & they said no, they were just coming to visit us - the guy knew who we were & told them exactly how to get to our house. :lol: They said in Pittsburgh they would be stopped along the side of the road for a week & nobody would stop! HA!!! We never did find out who the guy was that stopped, but the "aroma" wasn't their dog at all, it was "fresh country air" aka manure being spread in the field!

Gotta love the smell of "dairy air" my high school was right next to a turkey farm, the smell during certain times of the year was unbearable.

Boy, I feel I have been pretty anti-social the last few days, just haven't had the time to write to much.
Today was a rough day, I had my monthly inventory, and my inventory "prodigy" called out the last few days because he pulled a muscle pretty badly, I hope he is okay now, he usually gets the freezer ready for counting but I had to take a few hours to do that, and all the other little things that I have to do to prep. 10am came and I thought I was going to be there until 5-6pm tonight I was so far behind at that point. I just worked as quick as I could and I finished at 3:15. I am beat but I got the inventory 100% done.
Came home and watched a very funny movie, "The Dictator" it is one of those movies that gets you with shock value but that is my sense of humor.

I am up a little late but it is my day off, and JP's last day of summer vacation, he will be helping me with yard work, he doesn't know that yet but he will be surprised.

woke this morning to my leg itching like mad & when i put my foot down to get out of bed, it felt like lead around the incision.

man, here i thought my kids were old enough to quickly get used to waking early, but nooo. you'd think they were young kids the way they come in & are so grumpy & always saying how tired they are. daughter has come in numerous times already & said she needs a NAP!!!!!! a nap? c'mon, sure hope things get smoother around here.

we are getting amped up for Christmas @ work. i'm getting excited now. why is it, every year i say i'm gonna take more time to enjoy the Christmas holidays but i end up rushed, rushed, rushed? i do hope i have/take more time to enjoy things more this year!

Getting close to 2 1/2 weeks left now until our next Milestone, the 100-day Christmas Day Window.
(And won't the view to a double-double digits count be nice!)

Well, some of the humidity was back yesterday after a brief vacation. The temperature level was still relatively low, however, and all in all it was not too bad.
We may get some rain in the next day or so but we are grateful that Isaac decided not to pay us a visit.
I show 74 degrees here at this hour in the capital city.

My son and I were moving some of my signs around in a neighboring town Saturday when my truck got bogged down. Before I could call anyone for help, three people stopped to help. One of them came back with a tractor on a trailer behind his truck and pulled me out. They refused any money, and wouldn't even let me buy them lunch. The man with the tractor said the handshake was thanks enough for him...wow! I got all their names, and I'm planning to write a "Letter to the Editor" of their small town newspaper, publicly thanking them.

Now to pay it forward!

I never minded elementary school but when they started middle school it was very hard! Lots of changes happen then but they got through it and so did I! cheesy

Today is the first day of school in Baltimore County, and there was a shooting in Perry Hall High school cafateria just now

When I heard Perry Hall, Maryland on the news this morning, I thought of you and your family. I'm glad you all are safe & pray for all involved & affected.

We're taking a long Labor Day weekend to go camping. We'll go to Dollywood & Titanic Museum too. We might go to Gatlinburg or to Sevierville too, depending on what DH wants to do. It's supposed to rain all weekend because of Hurricane Issac. It rained last Labor Day too when we were camping. It gets cozy real quick in a hybrid camper with three people. I'm glad we have cable tv & a dvd player in the camper!

I'm really in Christmas spirit right now & can't do a darn thing about it! Work all day, housework, homework & cheer practices with DD almost every night, & no extra cash to go Christmas shopping. I don't even have time to sit down and watch a Christmas movie. Maybe I need to take those movies on the rainy camping trip!
