Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be another hot day here in central Indy but it looks like it will cool down this weekend. Of course it's going to be pouring down rain too. That's fine with me though. We need it. I am exhausted today. It seemed like everytime I went to sleep last night the fire department would show up and wake me up. The first time was for a lady across the street and the second time it was for my nieghbor's daughter. Apperantly she had been throwing up blood all day and not told her dad. She's been in pretty rough shape lately so she really didn't need any other problems. I haven't seen my neighbor this morning so I don't know what they figured out. Hopefully it wasn't real bad. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Tuesday hello! Plenty of rain here today. Snow-in-Texas, you may get the rain you're looking for after Isaac makes landfall. I'm thinking about our members and everyone who may be in the path of the storm. I pray you all keep safe.

Gotta love the smell of "dairy air" my high school was right next to a turkey farm, the smell during certain times of the year was unbearable.

Where I went to elementary school, the playground was right next to a field of dairy cows. Would have made for some interesting "nature studies," had we known the bulls weren't merely playing piggyback with the cows. I remember the day one of the cows gave birth during lunchtime recess, and the entire third grade was crowded against the fence watching the miracle of nature ... recess ran a little late that day.

And if you had to go through the fence to retrieve a ball, you had to duck under the electric fence wire---and watch where you stepped. What memories! Now a bypass runs between that playground and the cow field.

"dairy air" :lol: We get a lot of "dairy air" around here! :smile: And yes, turkey (and chicken) farms are the worst when they are hauling! Wew!

We're taking a long Labor Day weekend to go camping. We'll go to Dollywood & Titanic Museum too. We might go to Gatlinburg or to Sevierville too, depending on what DH wants to do. It's supposed to rain all weekend because of Hurricane Issac. It rained last Labor Day too when we were camping. It gets cozy real quick in a hybrid camper with three people. I'm glad we have cable tv & a dvd player in the camper!

I'm really in Christmas spirit right now & can't do a darn thing about it! Work all day, housework, homework & cheer practices with DD almost every night, & no extra cash to go Christmas shopping. I don't even have time to sit down and watch a Christmas movie. Maybe I need to take those movies on the rainy camping trip!

I definately think you should bring those movies along camping!!! GREAT IDEA! I hope the weather holds out for you though!

Good day before Pinesday morning to all!

Fall is in the air today. You can smell it! Its coming and fast. I cant wait! September 23rd my halloween stuff comes out. This weekend we are going to visit Dad. Should be fun. Not much is new. Looks like my new phone number is very close to some teenage girls number. I get strange random text messages with such short form words that I have a hard time understanding it. But its for some teenage girl. I keep telling them I'm not her and they have the wrong number. OH well! Question. Since I cant get the cookbook mailed to me here in Canada (Border issues), can someone scan in the page with my Grandpas Nuts and Bolts mix for me? I really really want to see what it looks like!

Several posts earlier were devoted to what our world is coming to. I think the inactions of the police in this matter is indicative of that. It really got under my skin, too, Coach. How in the world could a parent allow his or her child do this? What kind of homelife precipated this? Teachers seem to be held liable for a lot, and parents not so much. Just my early-morning rant!

Britt....that fires me up! I'm not a cat person, but I am an animal person. It takes a lot.....a lot.....to get under my skin. But being mean to animals....I'd like to have 15 minutes with that 17 year old and do things to him that wouldn't happen in Mayberry.

Tired...going to bed sooner than later...check out the rest of the board...kiss my dogs goodnight (and thank God that no one is being mean to them)...and maybe kiss the wife....although she is in the doghouse....can you believe she made me cook supper tonight? I ordered pizza...

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I sat at my mom's house for 4 hours yesterday waiting on the Dish Network guys to come install the equipment. They say you have to be available from noon till 5pm. At 6:15pm they finally called to say they were running late, and would arrive at 9:15PM! We told them no, they'll just have to bump someone else and come tomorrow. Now, you know they knew they were going to be that late by mid-afternoon. They could have called us much earlier to tell us so we didn't have to sit there and wait. Grrrr.

On a bright note, my daughter auditioned and got a part in The Nutcracker Ballet that Georgia Southern University puts on every year! She is so happy! Her best friend got a part, too, so they are tickled to death...LOL! I've never seen a Nutcracker, so this will be a good excuse to go. Of course, it also means she has to be in Statesboro for practice every Saturday and Wednesday through half of September, and all of October and November. Oh well, it makes her happy, and that's what counts.

The smoke really affected a lot of people, in addition to the monetary damage. Hopefully, things will begin to calm down before we enter the real fire season! Have a great day, everyone!

hey y'all! had my procedure on my leg today. doc said he doesn't think he will have to remove anymore after this. all went smoothly. should hear something back in the next week or so. hubby was checked out too & doc said he's good to go but froze a sunspot off & removed another something. anyhoo....
leg starting to throb a little now but i promise i'll be backl more tomorrow. good night y'all!

woke this morning to my leg itching like mad & when i put my foot down to get out of bed, it felt like lead around the incision.

Boy, I feel I have been pretty anti-social the last few days, just haven't had the time to write to much.
Today was a rough day, I had my monthly inventory, and my inventory "prodigy" called out the last few days because he pulled a muscle pretty badly, I hope he is okay now, he usually gets the freezer ready for counting but I had to take a few hours to do that, and all the other little things that I have to do to prep. 10am came and I thought I was going to be there until 5-6pm tonight I was so far behind at that point. I just worked as quick as I could and I finished at 3:15. I am beat but I got the inventory 100% done.
Came home and watched a very funny movie, "The Dictator" it is one of those movies that gets you with shock value but that is my sense of humor.

I am up a little late but it is my day off, and JP's last day of summer vacation, he will be helping me with yard work, he doesn't know that yet but he will be surprised.

When I heard Perry Hall, Maryland on the news this morning, I thought of you and your family. I'm glad you all are safe & pray for all involved & affected.

have fun on your camping trip! We were supposed to go too, but everyone has to work and we just could not make it happen.
We are planning a trip to Marine Land to celebrate y daughter and mine birthday (we are only 5 days apart)

yes, many times it is the parents, but not always. There are 7 kids in my family and only 1 went off, did drugs, stole a car was on probation for a few years. He is amazing now, has a great family and been in the same job for 30 years now.
We forget that most of the time it is their choice to do what they do. No one is to blame but the person doing it. We need to hold them responsible instead of looking for someone to blame.

We dealt with Dish Network a few years ago, they had the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. It is only company I actually got upset enough to yell at someone over the phone.
