Good morning, Christmas friends. I have a trip to Redding today to meet the radiation oncologist and then to meet with my reconstruction doctor. A retired teacher friend is driving me up to meet Hubby who had to be in Yreka for a meeting last night. I have been reading the emails about all the kidlets who are starting school/preschool and it makes me nostalgic as I remember my four children during those times. In fact, I have tears in my eyes as I reflect on those precious moments. Prayers are going out for MC's friends and ANYONE in the path of Isaac. I rememer when Hugo came through NC, he came in past Charlotte and tore up the little town of McAdenville. That was scary, and that was way inland.

On another note, I hope Britt is sharing her newfound wealth with her sweetie just as I am sure SIT is sharing his with CAH!!!

Good luck, CM3. You can do the tax thing. Just pay special attention and keep all receipts. So much can be counted as business expenses when you work out of your home.

Congratulations!!!!!!!! Now if we could just get them to put you on 1st shift.

1 &1/2 weeks into the school year & baby girl (16, but still my baby) is sick already. this happens every year but not usually so early in. for a few days now she's been saying she didn't feel good & was cold all the time. she came home yesterday, in 90 degree heat, & put on a hoody, sweat pants, & slippers saying she was freezing. last night after i went to sleep, hubby told me, she got sick & was throwing up. i tried to get her up this morning but instead i just gave her some meds & put her back to bed. i get off @ 1 today & we may end up @ the dr.'s office.

I hope she feels better soon!!!

Wow! I see the weather guy, Jim Cantore, trying to stand in hurricane weather getting blown around but the camera guy is standing perfectly still!

That's because he is standing in a funnel and the camera guy is standing behind a building. The real wind speed is somewhere in between.

Nancy took her mom to the doctor yesterday. Mrs. Hilda said she'd had some chest & back pains the night before. Since my, ah, issue last month, everyone is very aware of chest pains these days! Luckily, it seems her gall bladder is giving her some trouble. The doctor didn't find any other problems and can handle this without difficulty, thank goodness. Nancy was on the verge of a nervous breakdown at the mention of chest pains.

I'll keep her in my prayers.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be another hot one here in central Indy with a high of 90 degree's. I've been watching the hurricane coverage all morning and praying for the people south of New Orleans where the levee's have been over-topped. My water has been off all morning so I'm hoping that they get the leak at the front of my apartment complex fixed soon. I have stuff to do but I need water to do them. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well darn, Made! You and Wayne are ganging up on me. I was telling Wayne that it's all staged about the weather guy blowing around and the camera guy is standing still. It's all an act, staged, pretending to blow around with a fan going and a water hose spraying around because the camera guy should be falling over too. He was telling me how he thought the camera guy was able to stand still.

I know it's a real storm but I told Wayne to stop it and go along with me that it's fake! Ha ha! I was teasing, of course!!! Now I got you picking on me!

Thanks for the explanation because I really didn't know that and Wayne was guessing on how he stood still.

By the way, with what others are saying, your updates are always awesome!!!

Xmas366, great looking boys! I also love the ornaments!!!!

Seawaters, Snow-in-Texas has always taken great care of me! =)
Thinking of you at your doctors appointment. Keep us posted.

I have the house opened up, playing Christmas music and putting out some fall decorations with my granddaughter! It will get in the 90's today so enjoying the nice weather while I can.

Praying for those in the path of the storm!

A few minutes ago they showed Al roker in the middle of the street getting blown over and Jim Cantore standing 5 feet away on the sidewalk and it was barely blowing at all. It's just a product of how the buildings funnel the wind.

Well it's a good thing I didn't have anything planned for this weekend. It looks like after the remnants of Issac get done with Coach on Friday, they are going to head here. Right now we are projected to get 4 to 7 inches of rain this weekend. That should put a dent in the drought at least.

You would think fall came early today, I made snickerdoodles and my wifey made chocolate chip banana bread muffins. The house smells so good right now.

Oh, I can smell it now! YUM! I canned pickles last night so our house smells like vinegar! HA!

HOLY CHICKEN TENDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is POURING down rain here.. Honestly, Our summer is over. Once the sun disappears for more then 3 days at the end of august, our town collectively knows it's time to pack in the shorts and Bikinis. In fact, Friday i'm going to look for fall stuff

Today has been a delightful day, Left work early due to me being sick as a dog, But.. also had my one year performance appraisal (month early.. dunno why they do that) & got 4/5 overall.. with a 40cent raise! I was very pleased, my Manager had nothing but good things to say...Made me feel really appreciated!! On that note, I applied to be a department manager in the store, in Health & Beauty & in Crafts and Domestics! I am praying I get either one.. i'm nervous they think I'm too young, but I think if they give me a chance I will Surprise them!! c'mon wally world, have some faith in me!

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Good evening,

Just enjoying some music before bed, a little bit of everything, Christmas music, The Move, whatever I want to hear right now. Just saw on the news they are expecting temps to drop to the mid-40's tomorrow night. Brrrr before the Bers! Late work night tomorrow, first day of school for JP, busy morning ahead of me to get the boys out on time.

My thoughts are with all of those in the path of Hurricane Isaac, stay safe.

Good night all!

FORTIES??? :o Not sure I'm ready for that yet. But I love the 50's in the morning!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, we really got some rain yesterday! My yard is still under water. I guess that means the bahiagrass will jump up 12" today.

I think I have a Wal-Mart run in my schedule tonight. Keep me in your thoughts!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Better to be safe than sorry! I hope everything turns out fine for your MIL!! This happened to my sister too after my brother had a heart attack! She had some pain in her back/arm & went to get it checked out. Ended up it came from Zumba, but they made her spend the night anyway. Then she was so mad at herself for going in! But again...better to be safe than sorry!!!

Good afternoon everyone!

Happy 'Pines Day! We have reached the middle of the week, once again. There are only a few more days remaining in August, and the weather is certainly making that evident. We're at about 20C here in Ottawa, but the NW winds are bringing in a fall chill. I like summer, but I'm not complaining. Still, the weather for this upcoming Labour Day weekend does look beautiful! Temperatures in the Sault should reach about 30C. Perfect for swimming on the north shores of Lake Huron!

A few things planned for today. I have my second - and hopefully final - physiotherapy appointment at 1:40. Hopefully the inflammation has disappeared enough in my patellar tendon. It would be nice to return to the field in at most two weeks. I am targeting next Thursday, but we'll see after I receive my results today. Not being able to play, practice or properly train is difficult. I miss everything, especially my regular squatting, deadlifting, cleaning, etc. routine in the gym.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their week thus far. September is just around the corner. We're about to say goodbye to another beautiful summer and head towards those "ber" months.... Of course, these months keep lowering the count to our ultimate goal. The Christmas Season and Christmas Day will be here soon!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! The 'Pines is ready for a big end-of-August celebration!
