My pallets start tomorrow from the shopping channel. so looking forward to that i love them and my customers seem to as well.

Good afternoon, MMC!

It is a lovely, sunny and cool day out today and I am inside prepping tomatoes and cleaning. I have only about a little over a week to get as much of the garden taken care of as I can before we might get a frost. The plants are so big, there is no way I can safely cover everything, but I will try. It will be easier if there aren't so many plants ~ I only have so many sheets I can use. A friend of mine, a master gardener, recommended using sheets as the plants can still breathe underneath them if I am not there to pull the plastic off as soon as it is warm enough to ~ it really does work!

Merry Merry everyone...all good and fine over here....a bit tired and the stomach is a bit upset...other than that....all good....the days are ticking down til we depart for Disneyland and the weather was beautiful......we were at the fest of our local small and tiny airport...only for those small, small sportmashines and helicopters....but still....very fascinating how those aircrafts are takin off and staying up there

Good afternoon, MMC!

A basket and a half of tomatoes have been cleaned, peeled and seeds taken out and are now simmering on the stove. I am making pizza sauce again ~ smells yummy! The ketchup I made the other day was good ~ I did not follow a single recipe as I read through a bunch and then modified it to go with what I had on hand. It was an experiment to see if it is something I would like to make enough of to can next year. If the tomatoes come in like they did this year, I will.

I have a lot of work to do yet, so I will talk to all of you tomorrow!

Your days are always so productive, Meceka. I love homemade anything tomato, especially homemade catsup. Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis serves homemade catsup that is the best I have ever tasted! Luckily, I have the recipe; unluckily, I have no tomatoes!
