Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm here at Bernie's, running the cash register and drinking coffee...ahhh!

It'll only be a half-day today; the doctor still has me on light duty. I had to go back to the emergency room Thursday in Savannah. I was having some discomfort, and I've recently gotten nervous about chest pains, for some reason . Anyway, I had another procedure, but now we're certain that my heart is doing great! It was just some indigestion due to the change in my diet, and all the medicine I'm taking now...thank the Lord!

Glad to hear it ....take it easy..

Good morning everyone!

It's Saturday. I know I don't usually post on the weekends but I have bring festive news! Currently, I'm in Cornwall, Ontario - Kim's hometown - as I am attending her sister's wedding. It should be a great time! She's had three boys with her husband-to-be and they have been dating for about 8 years. They've done everything together except get married. Today's the day. But, my festive news!!

Kim had to stop in to Wal-Mart last night. And, like others who have stopped in recently, I also went to the very back of the Seasonal section in search of Christmas decorations. Upon my arrival, I happily pulled out my blackberry and took some photos. Because it's a blackberry the quality isn't that good, but this is a nice pre-Christmas Blossoms discovery to brighten your Saturday morning!

The Christmas stuff only took up about 1/4 of an aisle. But, I really think that they had just put it out in the past couple days. They seem to already be taking down Halloween decorations. It appears that Halloween has really fallen off the charts for this type of stuff. Oh well, more time for Christmas to spend on the shelves! Anyway, it was great to see!

I should really get ready though. The wedding is at 6 PM. It is an outdoor ceremony and should be real beautiful as the sun will be going down during the events. Plus, we are in for some beautiful fall weather here. We're currently at 15c and we should only have a high of 17c today. It's also getting down to 5c overnight. Perfect!

Have a great Saturday, everyone! We will embrace another milestone tomorrow and our excitement toward the Christmas Season will continue!

Yah, SIT is here and he brought his dancing siggie!!!

Had the day off today, took a vacation day. Had a nice day with CAH and her dad at the Cavanaugh Air Museum, then spent the day just chilling with my sweetie. Actually felt like fall today, I don't know what the high was, but it was darn near cool enough for a light jacket. It was a good day!cheesy

WOW, what a day you had!!! I almost started to feel sorry for you about the hours involved and then I wondered how many times you might have pulled allnighters in college, you know, partying on! Haha. I understand what you mean about going up and down the ladder. My husband is an engineer and was one for the US Forest Service for over 30 years. Now he is retired and it gets a little more difficult to go up and down the ladder, even if it is for the benefit of out house projects. Take care, and yes, take your sweetie someplace nice.

Good evening/ night and or morning to all my MMC fiends!

Wow, It took me over an hour, to try and get caught up with all the posts since Thrusday morning. I got to work Thursday morning and my boss informed me that we need to get started on a real dirty job and that we had to jump on it, asap; (in the Engineering world, "dirty job", means that we do not have any existing drawings, the building is old, and that we need to go out to the building and physically verify and locate every pipe, duct, and all the electrical and lighting...I call it the CSI of Engineering)! I got there at 10:00 at the building and I didn't leave the pace untill 9:00 the following morning - worked completely all day, night and into the following morning. A 25 hour work day...That's a triple plus...

Needless to say, after I drove home, took a well needed and deserved shower, I can't even remember falling asleep... So, as a result, now my body/ time clock is all screwed up and here I am getting all caught with with the latest and greatest.

I don't mind so much working those kind of hours, (Hmmm, lets see, time and a half times 25 hours.... Think I'll take the Mrs out and treat her to something nice! But I'll tell you this, going up and down on a ladder like that all day and night; whewww, my legs feel whipped.

Well, I hope everyone has a nice quiet and relaxing weekend, me, I'm back off to work tomorrow, to get me some more of that overtime....

Thinking of you Brad. It is good that you are in tune with your body. Take care. We want you around a long time!

So, I'm a happy camper again! Elizabeth is off to her first rehersal for the Nutcracker ballet. She has to go every Saturday and Sunday from now until Thanksgiving. We're so very proud of her!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

When you buy pickles in jars over here, there is lots of juice inside. Some people like to drink it.

Yip it seems that way.. is it just pickles, you no the way you get like . eggs. or onions. picked all that juice.
Is it good for you or what ? to me its tastes like vinegar..

FYI- While I was out this morning I spotted Christmas stuff at Dollar General, Big Lots, and Dollar tree. There were to many people around to get pictures and I was amazed that none of them were complaining.

Saturday hello ... gotta run out for lunch in a few minutes ...

I received this link in one of my "crafty" emails. Some of you might like it, especially if you crochet. It's a Halloweeny "Nightmare Square."

Hey SIT! Nice to see you. What a wonderful day you guys had!

Good luck with your house hunting! I hope you can find just what you are looking for. How exciting! What part of Wisconsin are you moving too? Am I thinking right that you are moving after the 1st of the year or is it sooner than that?

Thank you =) We are moving to northern WI, probably the Eau Claire area.
We are renting our house back, and our lease is through 12.31.12. So, we'll either leave then or in between Christmas & New Year's..it's exciting & scary at the same time!

So glad you're ok, Brad. That must've been scary. Take good care of yourself. =]

I'm so happy for Elizabeth. What a lovely ballet to be involved in. Wish I could come see her in it!

This past week has been gorgeous, weather-wise. The temps have had a bit of a cool in the morning and by the afternoon, it's hot but not deadly like usual. Next week is supposed to be just as nice (maybe a few rain showers though) and I'm wondering if I should bring out my slow cooker now, or wait for a few weeks.

Missy and I are getting along better and better. We're on more of a schedule (which this mama likes!) and she's understanding me more. Also, I have HER to thank for my weight loss! I've been walking more and playing with her and I'm 1 lb. away from my goal weight--YAY!!!

Congratulations on your weight loss! Hug that sweet Missy for me, please =)

Anyway, it's Saturday and I want to get this day going. I have groceries to get and I plan on going to the mall because Bath & Body Works is having a HUGE sale on Fall items--YAY AGAIN!! Also, I need new work clothes since all of my pants feel like potato sacks haha!

I hope this finds you well and feeling Christmas-y!

Have fun today!

I get to go and see a play this afternoon! My daughter works at a local hotel and often is given tickets when a customer cannot attend or just has extras.
42nd Street is on this afternoon, the one play I really wanted to see. mom is coming with me. Cynthia Dale is in this one, her and her husband Peter Mansbridge live here in Stratford.

That sounds like a fabulous way to spend your afternoon- have a great time! Let us know how the play was!

good for you on the weight loss.

Yip it seems that way.. is it just pickles, you no the way you get like . eggs. or onions. picked all that juice.

yes, pickle juice has vinegar & other seasoning in it & you can find pickles, eggs, onions, & here in the south you can even find pickled pig feet! (i do not eat these)...yuck!

Pickle Juice huh? I'll have to try that! Which pickle juice works the best, Kosher style, Deli stlye or bread and butter pickle juice?

Hey I got one here for you all, I have a habit of when I make a dish of something, cook something on the grill or what ever, we will have dinner and if there are any leftovers, regardless the portion size, I'll put the leftovers in the fridge to save for later on in the week. I will even do that if there is just a little bit left over and that drives my wife nuts, because first, it uses up all her tupperware and second, there's all these little meals in the fridge, using up space.

So, today she asked me can you do something with these, with her hand on her hip? I said Ok sure thing, (now, to know me, I hate to throw food away and I also love - just love leftovers. I think sometimes the meals taste better the next day after it has been sittting in the fridge....) So, I grabbed the two hot dogs that was in one container, grabbed the tuna fish that was in another container and some chopped onions that was in a third container and looked at them thinking what do I do with these?:-?

Then the light bulb lit up... I turned on the oven to 400, grabbed a couple of hot dog rolls from out of the freezer, warmed everything up in the microwave and yes ladies and gentlemen, I put the hot dogs in the rolls, topped them with the tuna fish and the onions and covered them with cheese. Then I placed them in the oven....

Yes, as I thought to myself... A Tunadog Melt!
The look on her face as I was eating them was a Kodak moment....Mannnn, were they good! Now that's using your head and filling your stomach at the same time....

ok am lost again(it has to be the irish thing lol) so are you saying you buy the pickle juice on its on and drink it.. or you use it to put eggs, onions and so on in.. you no the way you can buy say a jar of picked onions. can you drink the juice from that ???
And yes pig feet i agree there
