Hahaha! No, the golf course has a caterer and it is a much nicer building than a high school cafeteria!!! Some of the classmates can be pains because they act like they are so much better than others. But I was really talking about the other pain!

back home again, boy is it chilly out!
I put on the new jacket I bought in the spring and it just hung on me, love it!! I have lost 42lbs since I bought it.

Congrats!!! Good for you...way to go!!! That's something to be proud of!! :smile:

Good afternoon everyone!

Kim and I returned from a weekend in Cornwall late yesterday afternoon. It was a good time. Kim's sister's wedding was enjoyable. You couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere. The weather was perfect, though a little chilly after the sun went down, but it went off without a hitch. A perfect outdoor wedding, really. Of course, the bride looked beautiful, too. And the maid of honour - Kim - was also not so bad herself...!

Although it wasn't a traditional wedding with a meal and everything, there was plenty of snacks, sandwiches, desserts, etc. to go around. It was fantastic. Now, we're back to work. No complaints, though. I need money!

It is great to see the count in double digits. We truly are flying through this year. And, in less than a week, it will officially be Fall. Of course, many other fantastic occasions are on the way, too.

Well, I hope everyone hasn't had any problems getting settled in for the work week. Before we all know it, though, it will be Friday. I'm sure we'll all enjoy that!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm here at Bernie's, running the cash register and drinking coffee...ahhh!

It'll only be a half-day today; the doctor still has me on light duty. I had to go back to the emergency room Thursday in Savannah. I was having some discomfort, and I've recently gotten nervous about chest pains, for some reason :-D. Anyway, I had another procedure, but now we're certain that my heart is doing great! It was just some indigestion due to the change in my diet, and all the medicine I'm taking now...thank the Lord!

So, I'm a happy camper again! Elizabeth is off to her first rehersal for the Nutcracker ballet. She has to go every Saturday and Sunday from now until Thanksgiving. We're so very proud of her!

We bought a new fridge and its being delivered on Saturday. Our old one is going down hill. Mom will be coming down for Thanksgiving next month and MAYBE my Sister. Not much else new. Wishing it was Friday! This weekend my fall/halloween stuff comes out! Have a great day everyone!

Yay to the decorations coming out! I put a few new Halloween ones out, just because I had them accessible. That'll be it for this year, though.

Good morning, MMC! How is everyone? I am well. Just sitting here drinking a cup of pumpkin spice coffee and enjoying some quiet time. I just laid the baby down for a nap and DH and EA are out running some errands.

Nothing much going on. I do have to eventually do some work around here. I have pretty everything cleaned up from yesterday, except I have to find a spot for all of EA's new toys and I have a lot of wash to do, again. Plus, with us going camping for a few days, that put us behind on the wash too.

Looking foward to going back to work tonight (not!)...it's always so hard to go back after sleeping normal for a few days, but hey, I shouldn't complain. I should be glad I have a job.

Well, I am off to read some more of the posts for a little bit, then I am off to clean a little bit. Talk to you all a little later on. Make it a great day and keep smiling!

I hope you all had a great weekend. The Bike For Mike event went really well! It was a beautiful day! The temps started out at 43º on our drive to the event, & worked its way up to mid 70's, sunny & gorgeous! Great day for a bike ride. The coffee tasted so good in the morning! Lol! I think eveyone had a great time & we don't have all the numbers in yet, but we should have about $2000.00 to put towards the scholarship. Not bad for the 1st year! I am so tired today though! We had to be up at 4:15 on Saturday morning. I was up til midnight Friday night. There was a music fest Saturday night in the park accross the road from our house, so we had a bonfire. I was up til 2:45am Saturday night, then we had mass for Mike Sunday morning, chicken dinners at my parents for lunch, then off to the lake we went. I am supposed to be off work tomorrow (Mikes birthday) so maybe somewhere along the line I can catch up on a little sleep! HA!

I think his mom and dad kept EVERY toy of his and his sister, now she gets it for my kids to play with it, then sometimes my kids want to bring it home. When I don't want them to, my kids throw a fit, then my in-laws get mad at me and force those toys on me too. It makes me soooo mad sometimes...anyway My rant! :grin:

My sister has the same problem expect her mother in law just brings bags of stuff over to her house and leaves it. When my niece's were young, she would bring over bags and bags of stuffed animals that belonged to my BIL when he was a kid. They usually found their way to goodwill pretty quick.
