Christmas Countdown - 2012

Hello Merry Friends! I haven't posted in this thread now but I have a good reason to do that now. I hope everybody (or maybe majority) have heard about such a great event called 'The Wold's Biggest Coffee Morning'? If yes, lucky you. If no, I can say that this is a worldwide event organised by 'MacMillan Cancer Support' to raise money for cancer treatment. It usually takes time in September every year and I'm glad that I finally attended the event that I've heard so much about. :] Unfortunately, it's not organised in my home country but luckily it goes here, in the UK. And who knows, maybe I will be that person who will start the event in Lithuania, heh. ^^ I really hope so. Honestly. :] As one of my family member was affected by the disease, I'm feeling great of beeing part of the MacMillan's organisation work. :]

Here is the one yummy shot of this morning for you guys to check.
I definitely gained some weight after such a delicious cupcakes, cookies and pies. And coffee, of course. ^^

Turned into a lovely day, lots of sun, crisp in the air and the colors on the trees getting brighter every day.
Just got asked to come into work a 1/2 hour early to bake bread. Can use the hours.
excited about tomorrow, it is going to be a fun day at the baking show!

Am so sorry my mmc friends for not being on sooner but i have just been so busy with the shop and with friends things going on round them
So often i have said tomorrow i will get on mmc but it never seemed to happen
I have missed you all i like hearing hows your days is going.. and how the weather is even though its makes me jealous.
I have missed over a 100 pages and there is not way i can catch up
But am hoping so much that you all are ok and all your familys as well and never forgetting the furbabies

Well I'm exhausted...my 1 1/2 yr old great nephew just left...he was here for 3 1/2 hours & what a busy body!!! :lol: He doesn't miss a beat. He is so funny!!! Had a great time with him! Now I need to pack up & head to the lake...though I should mow the lawn 1st!! Beef broth is cooking...it's been a busy afternoon!!!

Oh, and I also had an appointment in medical centre. And you know what? I must admit that Scottish patients (girls and ladies) must be very happy about having such gorgeous doctors. Gosh, that doctor was truly hottie!

Good evening, MMC!

What a gorgeous day today ~ I spent most of it indoors, taking care of business. I still have a lot to do, but I am going to get off the computer ~ I do believe it is tiring my eyes out. I am using a laptop and am not used to it at all ~ I like my desktop computer so much better! Oh, well, I must get with the times. I just read online that Dish is going to be offering broadband internet to rural areas ~ that would definitely be my area. I get their free programming, so I should be able to get their broadband, too. I am going to have to look into it.

My relaxing plans for the evening include reading ~ last night I started the first Inspector Lynley book by Elizabeth George.

WOW is all I can say. This sounds like a superb event, especially with COFFEE!!! And to think it helps cancer support is an added bonus. Many of us here have had or are going through cancer treatments. It is NOT FUN! I will have to check this out here in the US to see about it. I like that it is called "The World's Biggest Coffee Morning." A lot of us here LOVE coffee!

It's Friday and....PAY DAY!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!

Anyway, since it's still blazing hot (high up to 91 today! BOO!), I decided to listen to the two MMC podcasts and some Christmas music. It worked! I finished listening to the podcast about Christmas in the 1940s--LOVED it!! Jeff, I hope you do more podcasts like that--maybe even go over each decade. Just a thought. ;-)

Also, I'm debating if I want to do the card exchange again (loved it but I didn't consider all the stamps I would need) and do the ornament exchange (first timer!) though I have no idea how to choose an ornament for someone.


Anyway, Missy has been a good girl lately and tonight I discovered she likes mushrooms. That makes this mama happy because sometimes the Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice or Smart Ones meal might have some mushrooms in it and I'm NOT a fan of that veggie. Ewwww :-|

What I have done when I have gotten behind is to read the pages for the day and then go back and read a few pages until I get caught up. Don't stress, though. We want you here, happy, and healthy!

Good afternoon, Christmas friends. I think I am the world's happiest teacher today: it is payday, like Kimothy said, it is the weekend, and I am off work all of next week for our October break. I LOVE the 6-1 calendar! We work six weeks and then are off one week. Yay! I forgot to tell you that I told my students about the "Ber" months. They thought that was the coolest thing! Hubby and I are off to Chico. TTYL

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been busy around here, but uneventful. I volunteered for extra responsibilty here at work (what was I thinking?!?), and they gave it to me. It keeps me pretty busy now. I hope it pays off at review time! :wink:

Jacob has a buddy coming over to stay the night. I guess I'll have to pack his XBox down in ice to keep it from overheating with all the gaming that'll be going on tonight. Tomorrrow and Sunday, Elizabeth has Nutcracker practice.

Good morning, MMC. No respite from the weather in sight, except that rain is forcast for next weekend. That is not good news for the rice farmers here. We are going to make a quick trip to Chico after school. I found out about a new scrapbooking store, so I want to stop and look at all the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas stuff. TGIF! Hello everyone! just got done taking snowball fo an afternoon walk. It's very warm.about 90F!!! I thought we were done with the 90's but no such luck yet! There is another big game tonight..we are playing Colquitt County which is a few counties away and they are good this year!! Tomorrow will be my 2nd annivassary here at MMC! where has the time gone..when I think about all the changes in my life in the last 2 years its amazing! I hope everyone is getting ready for a great weekend...have a great day!!!
