Saturday hello ... it's chilly, gray, and drizzly outside, but somehow it's not depressing---just autumnal. It makes me feel cozy to be inside a comfortable house with a mug of tea and wearing soft, comfy clothing. Plenty to do here today, but Mr. is busy with other things until evening, so I'll just do them at a slow pace with some MMC breaks in between. cheesy

Spent a cozy evening yesterday with the iPad, streaming old-time radio shows from Archive.org. I hooked up the iPad to an external speaker, and it was great! There are lots of Christmas shows there I haven't heard yet, and they're downloadable if I hear some I want to keep!

I have to say this every once in a while---I don't respond to everything, but everyone here is part of my day every day. Whether I respond to your post or not, I'm thinking about you, especially as our favorite season comes closer.

Gotta go and make myself useful around here for a while!

i'll tell you what i'm doing.... lounging on the couch, coffee in hand and a chocolate waffle perched next to me, watching a christmas film that is currently on one of my movies channels, i can smell the gorgeous aroma of my pork casserole simmering away in the oven, daughter is out for the day with grandparents so i have some peace and quiet. if only my tree was up this would be perfect!

I have had a wonderfully Christmas day... went for a run this AM and someone was trimming a pine tree and the smell of Christmas filled a whole block!! Then we went to Sears and whaddya know? Trees and decorations galore!!!

I have one Christmas emegency, though - I bought a countdown clock that starts October 1 on clearance last spring and can't find it anywhere! Eeek!!

Good evening, Christmas family

Just on my way to bed....I am very, very sleepy. Wish seems to be doing better again. I was really worried about hesterday. He had some GI issues and just did not seem to be feeling that well. But he snapped out of it and is fine again. Thank God. I tend to get quite achy joint wise from having to sit all the time and usually use a heating pad on my back during work. Wish came into my room while I was working yesterday and just stood there looking at me. Of course, I stopped and picked him up and put him on my lap while I hugged him and talked to him. Then I remembered the vet told me he has severe arthritis so I took the heating pad from behind my back and laid it on my bed and then put Wish on the heating pad. It was not long until he was fast asleep snoring. He really relaxed. I am so glad the heat helped him.

Made - How do you like your Kindle Fire by now ?? I really like mine but truth be told I still have a preference to my iPod a little. In a way it is like comparing apples with oranges....

Something happened today that never happens..I get up take the dog out,then brush my teeth then put on my work uniform,then I realize i'm off on sat!!! whew now I can go back to bed! in 19 years I have never had that happen! anyways...its a warm 68F outside this morning. and its going to soar to 92F today. I hope this Indian summer will be over soon! We won our game last night and they gave us a run for our money though...we won by 3 points,the last 3 games the other teams were scoreless...we could be going to state again this year I believe! I guess I am going to check on the little one and go back to bed..have a great morning everyone!! and we are just about 40 days away from the start of the season!!!!!hoooraaayyy!

I agree with you! I like Friday evenings and all day Saturday. I am a night owl, so those two days I can actually stay up. Sunday is nice to be off...but then all day long you know you have to work/go to school! Have a good day!

Good morning, everyone! How are you all? I am well. Getting ready to get this day started - we made pancakes for breakfast and now we all have to get ready, then we're going to be off to DH's hometown for a fall craft show. It's an annual thing they do every year and I always look foward to it.

Nothing else is going on here today. DH works tonight, so it will be just me and the kids. We will be probably rent a movie or watch one that we have. I don't know what we will do for dinner yet.

Tomorrow, we are taking the kids down to an amusement park close to our house that always has a huge fall craft fair, all kinds of activities, and has a standard fee of $5.00 to ride all day and for everything else in the park for the fair that day. It will be a fun time. That will be the last time the park is open that day. I love weekends off!

I hope you're all enjoying your weekends! I miss you all so! I hope I'm not missing too much. I will stop back tonight and try to catch up a little, once I get DS to bed. Good Morning MMC!!!!!! We are off to a chilly start here in central with a temp of 53 degree's right now. The warm up should start here shortly though and it looks like we will top out around 70 degree's. I have to take my niece's home and then I think I'm going to stop at a few craft shows. I might even run back up to the apple orchard. I need to check and see if any of the orchards around are letting you pick your own apples this year. The 2 that I usually go to aren't because they had such a bad crop this year and I miss it. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. I am sitting here with my Halloween mug that says, "Gone Batty" It is black with orange polka dots and black bats. The inside is witch lime green. I got it two summers ago when we drove to Florida and stopped at a Cracker Barrel. They always have great Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas stuff. I will stop by periodically throughout the day. Unfortunately, Missy decided to wake me up around 4:30 this morning because she had to pee. I put on my flip flops, leashed her, and took her out for a few minutes. When we got back, I tried to go back to sleep and I couldn't. BUMMER!!!

On the plus side, while at Publix this morning, they had The Avengers on DVD AND a $5 off coupon. Hello purchase (among other things). I'm going through the ads on the film right now but as soon as the movie starts, I'll be one happy Kimmy.


Oh! Right now I'm making Vegetable Beef Soup in my crock-pot. YAY!!!!

Awww!!! I am sorry that you weren't able to fall back asleep this morning - I hate when that happens! The same thing happened to me at 7:30 which was not how I wanted my "sleeping in" to go! I just watched that movie last night - it was excellent! The cast is amazing :] I didn't think I would like it, but I really loved it. That soup sounds delicious! Enjoy your movie and your meal :]

Sounds like a dreary day outside, but you and I share the same attitude. I love to dress in something cozy, have some hot chocolate, and be glad I am inside! That does sound like a very cozy evening :] What a sweet thing to say - I share the exact same perspective! I think of everyone and include you all in my prayers. Sometimes it is just very hard to reply to every post, although I try very hard. Don't work too hard and take a break soon!

Well good afternoon, MMC! I am finally caught up - yay!! It sounds like many of you are having such fun weekends with festivals, comfort food, craft shows, relaxation, and seeing Christmas-y items out and about!

I am having one of my favorites today - spaghetti, meatballs, and garlic bread. My mom's homemade sauce is mouthwatering! I am so hungry right now that I might have to sneak a snack to tide me over a few hours.

This weekend, I plan on doing nothing but relaxing! I have no school work for once, since I got all caught up last night and this morning. I think I am going to rent a couple of movies tonight and light a fall candle. I can't wait until a few more weeks when I start lighting all of my Christmas ones :] I am going to make a peppermint hot chocolate for myself tonight, I have been craving one!

Off to see if my mom needs any assistance in the kitchen - have a great day!

What a lovely fall day it has been. I'm lucky in that my office for today, my kitchen cheesy, has a window that looks out into the woods. I enjoyed watching the leaves lazily coming down and I swear the sunshine gave everything a wonderful golden hue. I even managed to sneak a few minutes outside, but mostly I stayed in and worked. I still have a lot of tags to write out, but my online stuff is done. Laptop is charged so I shall be able to enjoy the Greasy Skillet later.

In it, I would tell the boss how disappointed you are that an adult would actually act like a grade-school tattletale and would contribute to gossip that simply was not the truth. I am sorry that your boss's dad has cancer, but that is still no reason to act that way. In fact, she should reprimand the tattletale for doing it. I would really let my boss know how hurt I was that first of all the lady did the tattling, but that the boss seemed to believe her. HTH

Not much going on at work today! Good thing I am outa here at noon!! Then the fun begins... my (almost) 2 year old great nephew is coming over to hang out with me while his mama decorates for a wedding! I am going to make some soup this afternoon. Heading to the lake tonight. We are off to visit my SIL tomorrow. It will be Sunday before we know it! Weekends always go so fast!!

Many thanks to all those that wished me luck or sent positive thoughts toward my exam/test today. It went fairly well. I'm not overly confident - because I know there were about two questions that I guessed on - but I am happy with my answers for 8 of the 10 questions. I am really hoping to receive an interview. We'll see how it goes from here!

Much like 'star said, it was a chilly morning north of the border. The coldest since March, in fact. I awoke at about 6 AM, since I had to be at the RCMP headquarters for 8 AM. I also had a 45 minute bus ride. Anyway, it "felt like" -1c outside this morning. That's right. Negative degrees! So, about 30f? It was chilly. I only needed to put a sweater over my shirt and tie and I was good to go. It's still decent weather.

There hasn't been much else going on as of yet. Kim should be home from work soon. She only works a half day today. We may do something for lunch, but she hasn't responded to my messages just yet. I have to go to the gym today. Then, this evening, we are going to our friends' house for some board games. It has been a few months since we have done this, so it should be a great time!

Well, it's Friday! Soon everyone will be counting down the minutes to the weekend! You've all earned a break after five days of hard work. And, as we close in on the final weekend of September, perhaps some (more) Christmas decorations will begin to pop up in stores around you! It's getting closer!

Hello Merry Friends! I haven't posted in this thread now but I have a good reason to do that now. I hope everybody (or maybe majority) have heard about such a great event called 'The Wold's Biggest Coffee Morning'? If yes, lucky you. If no, I can say that this is a worldwide event organised by 'MacMillan Cancer Support' to raise money for cancer treatment. It usually takes time in September every year and I'm glad that I finally attended the event that I've heard so much about. :] Unfortunately, it's not organised in my home country but luckily it goes here, in the UK. And who knows, maybe I will be that person who will start the event in Lithuania, heh. I really hope so. Honestly. :] As one of my family member was affected by the disease, I'm feeling great of beeing part of the MacMillan's organisation work.

Here is the one yummy shot of this morning for you guys to check.
I definitely gained some weight after such a delicious cupcakes, cookies and pies. And coffee, of course.



Oh, and I also had an appointment in medical centre. And you know what? I must admit that Scottish patients (girls and ladies) must be very happy about having such gorgeous doctors. Gosh, that doctor was truly hottie!/QUOTE]

Well I'm exhausted...my 1 1/2 yr old great nephew just left...he was here for 3 1/2 hours & what a busy body!!! :lol: He doesn't miss a beat. He is so funny!!! Had a great time with him! Now I need to pack up & head to the lake...though I should mow the lawn 1st!! Beef broth is cooking...it's been a busy afternoon!!!

What a gorgeous day today ~ I spent most of it indoors, taking care of business. I still have a lot to do, but I am going to get off the computer ~ I do believe it is tiring my eyes out. I am using a laptop and am not used to it at all ~ I like my desktop computer so much better! Oh, well, I must get with the times. I just read online that Dish is going to be offering broadband internet to rural areas ~ that would definitely be my area. I get their free programming, so I should be able to get their broadband, too. I am going to have to look into it.

My relaxing plans for the evening include reading ~ last night I started the first Inspector Lynley book by Elizabeth George.

i did want to tell y'all that i had a long, did i say long(?), talk w/ boss on friday. after reading the article star posted for me i felt really confident about it. after explaining to her what truly happened & was said we both felt better. i even asked her to bring in the other lady (again like the article said) but she said she believes me w/out her there. she can't get her head around why someone would do that to a co-worker & i explained again what the article said a persons motives may be. i felt so much better about things after our talk. i want each of you to know how much i appreciate y'all. i can't believe i've never met my best friends!

star i hope things get resolved @ your job also. i wish i could find something to help you like you did for me. thank you so much.

TGIF! Hello everyone! just got done taking snowball fo an afternoon walk. It's very warm.about 90F!!! I thought we were done with the 90's but no such luck yet! There is another big game tonight..we are playing Colquitt County which is a few counties away and they are good this year!! Tomorrow will be my 2nd annivassary here at MMC! where has the time gone..when I think about all the changes in my life in the last 2 years its amazing! I have missed you all i like hearing hows your days is going.. and how the weather is even though its makes me jealous.
I have missed over a 100 pages and there is not way i can catch up
But am hoping so much that you all are ok and all your familys as well and never forgetting the furbabies

I have had a wonderfully Christmas day... went for a run this AM and someone was trimming a pine tree and the smell of Christmas filled a whole block!! Then we went to Sears and whaddya know? Trees and decorations galore!!!

I have one Christmas emegency, though - I bought a countdown clock that starts October 1 on clearance last spring and can't find it anywhere! Eeek!!

I hate when I misplace things like that.

Good evening,

I wasn't able to make it here yesterday, didn't get home until after 11pm last night from the wedding. Then went to work this morning, to say the least I am exhausted. It is so chilly and rainy tonight, we thought about turning on the heat, but we turned on the electric fireplace instead.
