Well, off to get a few things done and get a shower, then DH, the kids, and I are going to grab a bit to eat and go grocery shopping (my favorite thing - not!!!)

my sister & b-i-l are coming up today. unfortunately it's for a funeral of my b-i-l's-cousin's-husband. he was only 49 & had just weeks ago learned he had a rare condition that causes hardening of the heart. his name was Wylie. Wylie had a very successful business, a very sweet wife, & 2 beautiful kids. it's a very sad thing that has happened to our community.

my home church has lost 2 of its most faithful members in the last week. the lady was over the childrens division for as long as i can remember. she taught me in childrens church & my kids. precious lady.
the gentleman was 84 & i didn't know him as well personally but i know he was a good man. it hits the church very hard i'm sure.
neither of them is suffering any more. may they rest in peace.

i apologize if this post sounds a bit morbid. in my line of work we are the 2nd to learn of a death so.....

my hubby will be home tonight, yaay. he had to go to Pa. for some type of classes for his job. we are both off tomorrow so we will find something to do together, maybe even some Christmas shopping.hmmmm......

Buster is doing well - thanks for asking. Of course his eye doesn't look right (it will never look normal again since his lense fell...) but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. He seems happy, he's eating good, he wants to walk, & he thinks any food that is on our cupboard is for him - he has been putting his front paws up on the cupboard & sticking his nose up there to see what he can find. He hasn't done that for a long time!!! He's getting even more SPOILED!!! But he does not like his eye drops. He fights me every time - 3 times a day... unless I can sneak them in while he's sleeping! Hello to Wish! And how is Wish?? Hopefully all is well!!!

Hello everyone!

I can't really believe it's Thursday already. It means another week has almost passed. Although my lectures at the university are finished for now, a very busy weekend is still to come: making index cards for learning vocabulary and finishing a lot of reading which is left because I couldn't manage to do all of it on weekdays. And I still have to find some time to do some cross-stitching otherwise I won't be able to finish my Christmas present for my godparents until Christmas. Shame on me and my time menagement!

P.S. something is really wrong with me because I can't stop eating honey lately. Is there anyone else who has some kind of obssesion with eating something non-stop? ^^

I'm off now to keep working on writing down my English vocabulary. And I'm taking a jar of honey with me.

Good afternoon, MMC!

It is a nice day out, but getting very windy. It is going to cool off for tomorrow and there is more rain in the forecast - yay! It is getting chilly in here already ~ snuggle duds time. cheesy

We went to an antique sale this morning ~ didn't buy anything. I was looking for one thing and when I found it, I didn't like the shape it was in for the price. Then we went to a benefit sale at the Catholic church. I found a few things that I had to have for the store, so the morning wasn't a total waste of time.

Bo has been acting a bit off the past few days. I was planning on going to the Homecoming parade this evening, but need to stay here in case he needs help. My brother wrote a book and I have the rough draft loaded on the laptop, so I will start reading it tonight. It will be nice and quiet and I will be able to hear if Bo whines.

I need to get another countdown one. The one I have is Santa talking about what goes on @ the North Pole daily, but is just for the month of December. Us Christmas nuts start counting down much sooner than that!
