good Saturday afternoon y'all! it's a bit warmer outside right now, but i think it's gonna cool down @ dusk.

had to work this morning. a sweet lady that retired from our shop 2 or 3 years ago has lost her husband. they are both wonderful people. have to go in tomorrow to make some stuff up for the funeral.

my boys say they had a good time last night on their dates.

everyone here is waiting on the Gamecocks game to come on. my bro & b-i-l are coming over so i think it will be a loud evening.

A BIG congratulations!!!

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to say that I received an honorable mention award from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges last weekend, for an article I wrote in my college's magazine last Fall. I'm so happy to be an award winning writer. :dance:

My grandkids have that kind of "fun" too! :wink:

At least my granddaughter is always very eager to help me with the dishes and laundry. She loves doing the dishes but I have to monitor her from the breakables and sharp things.

Well its saturday again !
Weather is cool and frosty this mornng but dry you can feel the chill thats for sure
Had a toy pallet yesterday and i can say never again. am sick lookng at baby born dolls and hearing them cry lol
And i thnk am getting behind again. am gonna get a load really for car boot sale. as i have that much dont no what to do with it and loads more to come in
I think i better try and get the chrstmas stuff out this week , make a start somehow,
Have ordered 2 pallets of pet stuff, beds and carriers things lke that. you cant buy anything like that in this town so it should go ok . i think people will buy them for chrstmas for there pets

Just went to check on my wee birds not the parrots there and one of them is gone(passed away) he was blind the guy who had him was gonna kill him when he found out he was blind but i took him 8 years ago .you could never had touched him but he got if you spoke to him he wood have answered back. i think even though he never saw the light of day he was happy i kept him in the house as i never wanted him to be scared of things he could not see.

One is the only Christmas forum in Norway (Bulletin, just like this)
And finally members are comming back, falling into the Christmas spirit
It's about time! Yes? So I have a lot to do "backstage" and my moderators have finally some work to do.

The funny thing is, I am more active here
I have twice as much posts here then in my own forum.
Even I have had my forum up since 2007.

My Christmas forum is 'my baby', and I love it.
But I think here I can be just 'me'....and not 'the boss'
And that's a big difference!

And at MMC there is something happening all year round!
And I must have an 'american heart', because I LOVE everything about
the American Christmas! (all Holidays actually)♥

Well, I have some shopping to do. I'll be back later!!

It's Friday! We're one day away from a month from the beginning of the Christmas Season. Hooray! In celebration, Kim and I are going to the Rideau Centre prior to she begins work. I'm excited! Not much time to talk now though... We should be heading out shortly. I'm hoping to see some real signs of the season today

Change of plans: Kim cannot go today, but has to go tomorrow to make some purchases. Therefore, it will be delayed until tomorrow, which should be the perfect way to bring in the one moth countdown.

Hello friends!

These last two days have been really frustrating. Without going into too much detail...well...it's just been rough. Yesterday with the testing was a mess (note to self, never register for anything under your new married name while you still have all your identification cards under your maiden name...ugh), I almost ran over a speeding motorcyclist (double ugh), and I spent hours in the social security and drivers license offices. Then today I had trouble at the bank trying to deposit wedding gift checks, followed by a huge fight with my mom which resulted in me storming out of the house. I am really upset and don't know what to do...hubs and I both believe what she said was uncalled for and there is just no reasoning with her when she's in a mood like that. Top all THAT off with the fact that I called and texted our wedding photographer again with no response still, and you've got one very unhappy person right here.

I guess I'm gonna go to bed and hope that tomorrow is a little better. Goodnight everyone.

The toys and that don't bother me. It's the cupcake crumbs all over the living room floor, the spilled kool aid on the kitchen floor and inside the refrigerator, and the half a bottle of foaming hand soap all over the bathroom that bugs me.

so why do you let them do all this?
Get some rules written down and posted in every room... like
1. eat only in the kitchen
2. clean up any mess you make
3. failure to do either of the above will result in_______________
(add what ever you think will work with them, but keep it reasonable)
Most important, enforce them!
It will cause temper tantrums and refusal to comply at first, but stick with it, in the long run it will be worth the it.
add whatever rules you want but the shorter and simpler the list the easier to enforce.

Watching the movie "Tooth Fairy" what a silly movie!
Got some more work done for my cakes. Did some shopping, hit a few thrift store but did not find much today.

LittleCS is upset, she started a new job 3 months ago and was let go because it just did not suit her. She is great with office administration work, but this job wanted her to call clients and line them up with personal support workers, something she really did not like doing. She is upset with loosing her job, but I think she will be a lot less stressed now. Only thing is she now has to hit the pavement again looking for something else.

Dinner is in the crockpot: stew meat and chunks of onion with a mixture of savory beef gravy and mushroom gravy. We will pour this over rice cooked with whole kernel corn and its "juice." I am making myself hungry just writing about it. We will have cole slaw to go with it. Any other good dinners tonight?

Good afternoon, MMC!

It is a dreary, rainy day out ~ I love it! Went to Goodwill this morning, didn't find much. Then went to the Mission store in my town, and I found a lot! It was the first day of their Christmas sale ~ books, ornaments and cookware galore. One of the ladies waiting in line was singing "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" ~ LOVE it!!! The only thing I did not like is the way people cut in front of you there ~ grrrrrrr! Good thing I was the first in line ~ I made right for the boxed ornament section and came away with four Shiny Brite boxes, mostly full of Shiny Brite ornaments. Those are for the store, though. They are nice, but not as nice as the ones my dad left me. The Hallmark Keepsake ornaments I found are for me ~ cats and mice (of course, right?!) cheesy

I am sitting in the kitchen, a Yankee Candle "White Christmas" is burning on the stove ~ smells like pine in here. I think I have to bake something!

yummy, hubby grilled some pork chops on the grill, we had pasta & lima beans w/ them.

Shelliegirl, i am so sorry for your little birdy. that was so kind of you to care for him like you did. it's sad but most others would've done exactly what you said the previous owner was going to do.i'll be thinking of you doll! ((((consider yourself hugged real tight!)))))
