Black Friday is going to be weird for us this year. For as long as I can remember, my mom and aunt have been off of work and we all went shopping. Well this year, they both have to work. So I guess I'll have to go shopping by myself.

Why is it that I can never get comfortable at night, yet I could probably be upside down and still comfortable in the morning?

I don't know but if you figure it out, let me know!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a wild weather week here in central Indy with temperatures all over the place. Today it looks like a high of 60. I am dragging this morning. I stayed up and watched the christmas shows on HSN from midnight to 3am before I went to bed. Then I had to get up at 7am and help my neighbor take the backseat out of his minivan. I see a nap in my future. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its my eldest daughters birthday today she is 11 years old!! doesnt seem like 2 mins since she was a baby! where does the time go!

its a typical autumn morning here, I love it!! Yesterday my 6 year old Keira was out in the garden finding autumn leaves to make a picture with! she loved it!

good morning y'all! it's warming up around here so we had to close the windows & turn the a/c back on this morning. after the summer power bills i would love to get it waaay down now.

my daughter is a junior in high school & she has her ring ceremony tonight @ the school. @ 1st she wanted something new to wear & wasn't going because she didn't get it. i was kind'a upset so she decided to go anyway.

I hope I'm able to explain it. Raclette is a original swiss traditional meal. Raclette are cheese slices which are put into an little pans:




Then the pans are put into a Raclette Oven, which can looks like this:




The cheese will melt and we eat it (like you can see on the picture) with jacket potatoes, meat like bacon, saucages, different kinds of vegatables and other things. If the cheese is heated up enough it looks like this:

There are special kind of cheese, since not all cheese brands will melt well when heat up. We usually only eat it it during fall and winter. It is very yummy but one should be very hungry otherwise you won't be able to eat much of it.

Good morning, MMC! How are you all doing this morning? How are your families?

I could not drag myself out of bed this morning. Why is it that I can never get comfortable at night, yet I could probably be upside down and still comfortable in the morning? Lol. I was about to literally roll myself out of bed so I couldn't lay around any longer! I have a lot going on with my classes this week. I finished a few projects this weekend, quizzes, and assignments. I have a test this week as well as a quiz today, so school is definitely keeping me busy.

I think I am going to start all of my Christmas shopping the last week of October. I am still trying to decide right now what I want to buy for everyone, so once I narrow it down a little more I will be ready. I think I am going to get a lot of online shopping out of the way first. Then when the stores get all decorated and pretty in the mall, I will head there and finish whatever is left of my shopping. I love the smell in the mall during the holidays. There is a booth that sells nuts and candies that always smells like cinnamon. I can't resist so of course I end up buying someone a gift from there!

The most difficult person to shop for will be my twenty-five year old brother. I already have a million gifts in mind for my mom, and my dad is simple when it comes to shopping. My brother, however, always stumps me. I don't want to get him sports jerseys because I feel like someone does that every year. He doesn't really play video games anymore. Clothes always work but if I am getting someone a few gifts I don't want them to open just clothes. Even though he's an adult it's always nice to get a surprise or something fun! Last year I got him a few things and a gift card for his favorite store - but I want to opt out of the gift card route this year. Oh well, I guess I need to do some brainstorming!

Now that my mind is filled with Christmas shopping, I better drag myself away to get ready for school. Have a good day, everyone!

It's a brisk morning here cheesy
But, it's supposed to reach almost 90 degrees again later in the week...bahumbug! Hahaha!

What do you have going on today?

I need to go grocery shopping and work on some school reading and case scenarios. I got a B on my quiz last week, so I was happy about that. Always can do better, but for not taking one for oh, about 17 years, I was happy!

Well, better get to it.

Good morning everyone.... What a busy weekend. We had a blast, we went pumpkin picking, added more decorations to the outside on Saturday, we also walked around this town on the North Fork of Long Island called Greenport, NY very old town here on LI, we had so much fun. We had Snicker's and boy is she a ham bone when we go to towns like that!!! We watched the Yankee's lose Saturday night (boo hoo), and we watched the Giants win on Sunday (wooo hooo). We had my BIL over and we BBQ it was so nice out. We had bought some new lights for the outside some "bat - lights" they are too cute. I took some pictures but haven't downloaded them yet. :bat:

I am starting to do my menu for Thanksgiving, we do not tend to alter too much, but I do try to add one or two new things to the menu. :served: I am also testing a few new recipes for Christmas, I like to add to my cookies I do each year, so I think I may hit our recipe threads and see what everyone is whipping up. I was in Home Depot and they had their Christmas Display stating to go up I was very happy to see that, I always like to pick up a few boxes of lights (you can never have too many lights you know!!!!

I have the whole week off from babysitting my grandkids but my mom and I want to get to the State Fair of Texas before it's over so we plan to pick up the kids this week and take them. This is the kind of fun I LOVE having with them!!! More fun when I get the kids on "my time", not wake up at the crack of dawn and have them for up to 11 hours a day. cheesy That really wears me down sometimes but it's not that bad, we have fun too!

I just saw a Christmas commercial!!!!! The first this season for me! I let myself rewind three times

I got a fiberoptic house at a local do it yourself store....it was the last one...they took it out of their programm.....so it was only 6euros and 95 cents...I couldn´t believe my luck...cos I wanted to have one for quite some time!!!

Isn't that the best!!! So happy you were able to get it and such a GREAT deal

Well its saturday again !
Weather is cool and frosty this mornng but dry you can feel the chill thats for sure
Had a toy pallet yesterday and i can say never again. am sick lookng at baby born dolls and hearing them cry lol
And i thnk am getting behind again. am gonna get a load really for car boot sale. as i have that much dont no what to do with it and loads more to come in
I think i better try and get the chrstmas stuff out this week , make a start somehow,
Have ordered 2 pallets of pet stuff, beds and carriers things lke that. you cant buy anything like that in this town so it should go ok . i think people will buy them for chrstmas for there pets

Just went to check on my wee birds not the parrots there and one of them is gone(passed away) he was blind the guy who had him was gonna kill him when he found out he was blind but i took him 8 years ago .you could never had touched him but he got if you spoke to him he wood have answered back. i think even though he never saw the light of day he was happy i kept him in the house as i never wanted him to be scared of things he could not see.

But, I have been known to hang out at times in chat after my Saturday evening show as well as some Sunday evenings wile the Bone Conduction Music Show is on. So far, no one else has ever signed in.

You know I don't hang out here on the weekends much but that Snuday night show sounds cool I might have to catch it

Good afternoon, MMC!

It is a dreary, rainy day out ~ I love it! Went to Goodwill this morning, didn't find much. Then went to the Mission store in my town, and I found a lot! It was the first day of their Christmas sale ~ books, ornaments and cookware galore. One of the ladies waiting in line was singing "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" ~ LOVE it!!! The only thing I did not like is the way people cut in front of you there ~ grrrrrrr! Good thing I was the first in line ~ I made right for the boxed ornament section and came away with four Shiny Brite boxes, mostly full of Shiny Brite ornaments. Those are for the store, though. They are nice, but not as nice as the ones my dad left me. The Hallmark Keepsake ornaments I found are for me ~ cats and mice (of course, right?!) cheesy

I am sitting in the kitchen, a Yankee Candle "White Christmas" is burning on the stove ~ smells like pine in here. I think I have to bake something!
