Has anyone else watched HSN today? I can't say that I'm a fan of the Today's Special Wreaths.

I just turned it on. The autumn one and a couple of the Christmas ones are okay to me but not my favorite. Not crazy about the spring and summer ones at all.

good Saturday afternoon y'all! it's a bit warmer outside right now, but i think it's gonna cool down @ dusk.

had to work this morning. a sweet lady that retired from our shop 2 or 3 years ago has lost her husband. they are both wonderful people. have to go in tomorrow to make some stuff up for the funeral.

so why do you let them do all this?
Get some rules written down and posted in every room... like
1. eat only in the kitchen
2. clean up any mess you make
3. failure to do either of the above will result in_______________
(add what ever you think will work with them, but keep it reasonable)
Most important, enforce them!
It will cause temper tantrums and refusal to comply at first, but stick with it, in the long run it will be worth the it.
add whatever rules you want but the shorter and simpler the list the easier to enforce.

This is an awesome idea... You know a GF of mine did something like this and she always said it was hard at 1st but the benefits were worth it, I must agree I never say no when asked to babysit her three, they are very well behaved.

Got some more work done for my cakes. Did some shopping, hit a few thrift store but did not find much today.

LittleCS is upset, she started a new job 3 months ago and was let go because it just did not suit her. She is great with office administration work, but this job wanted her to call clients and line them up with personal support workers, something she really did not like doing. She is upset with loosing her job, but I think she will be a lot less stressed now. Only thing is she now has to hit the pavement again looking for something else.

What a long day! My mom is really sick, so if anyone can, prayers would be really appreciated. I need a good Christmas movie to wind down the weekend today or tomorrow. I can't wait for the season!! Walmart needs to put their dang wrapping paper out already - we all know how I feel about that! I search the aisles every time and I think the employees all know me by now to know what I'm hunting for lol!

Good morning, everyone! Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, but here was a mix-up at school and our transportation director didn't hire a bus driver for an all day event, thereby leaving 15 kids waiting for their trip. While it wasn't my plans for the day, I didn't want "my babies" to miss their event.

So I took them, came back and took another trip that was scheduled that I committed to, took my group home, and then went back to pick up the other group. This started around 6:30 and ended around 6:00. So my day was spent driving a bus. But seeing the smiles as kids got back on the bus...ain't a better way to spend a Saturday.

Today is no work day. I'm going to read the boards, look around at some Christmas stuff, do some cooking....and watch some football!

The Polar Express just made it to the North Pole, and my 3 year old has expressed an interest in visiting the North Pole. I guess the closest we'll get will be a trip over to my parents' in a couple weeks to help decorate my mom's "Santa room" and put up the first tree of the year.

So, I like to tell everyone I do not listen to Christmas music until November 1. Yet, 101 Strings Orchestra's "The Glory of Christmas" seems to be mysteriously playing on my computer.

Hey everyone! How are you all? I am well. Busy weekend had my family and me.

Friday, we went to a farm, where they had a corn maize, hayride, farm animals, and more.

Saturday, we went to a craft fair and in the evening, we went to Chuck E Cheese. The kids of course had a blast at Chuck E Cheese.

Today, we went to another craft fair. I got some nice crafts both days and good food. I spent a lot of time with DH, the kids, my sister, and her boyfriend.

Tonight, I head back to work. DH is already at work, so I am just spending time with the kids, deciding on what to make for dinner.

I hope all is well in your part of the world. Miss you all. We're getting closer and closer to the big day! Can't wait to keep counting it down!

I hope I am not stepping on any toes here, I have been through a similar situation and with the help of friends got on top of it. It is just no fun when the kids run everything.

Just got my 3 year old to finally watch Polar Express. She never made it to the North Pole before she got distracted by something else. At least she wasn't scared.

My daughter has the week off from work so you know what that means? I have the week off too! I plan to get a lot done and get ready for the holidays. Woo Hoo happy vacation!!!

I really want to do something special for Christmas. It is going to be different since my uncle has passed away and not being able to go to his house on Christmas Eve. He loved Christmas so I know he wants us to enjoy. He actually had his tree set up earlier than I ever did. He put his up in October one year!!! So with all that in mind, I am actually looking forward to Christmas! We still miss him though!!!

It is always hard right that 1st year they are gone, but oddly you find a smile sometimes at the memories

Good evening, MMC! How did everyone spend their weekend? Any plans for this week? It was a pretty quiet weekend here. The temperatures were actually nice, so my family spent a lot of time outdoors today. We are thinking that this is the last "nice" day of fall where it won't be too cold. It is hard to get the energy to go outside when the temperatures are in the 40s or 30s!

Last week was such a busy week, I feel like I spent so much time each day running around. I had classes, appointments, errands, etc. It is so hard to find any time to relax when you're so busy! When I wasn't running around I was spending time with my friends - it was nice to be able to relax with my family this weekend.

I have been seeing so many Christmas-related things these days. I saw a Target commercial the another night where there was a village all lit up and snow. Then the Target dog came on and was wearing a Santa hat :] The stores have been putting more and more decorations out. I went and purchased a few baking/cooking magazines completely filled with Christmas goods. I am so excited to try making some things! Christmas is coming quickly! Just think - a few more weeks and we will be at November. Crazy, huh?

Well, I am off to relax for the night because I am sure I will have another busy week ahead. Some of my favorite shows are on Sunday nights, so I am about ready to watch them and be lazy! Have a good night and a fabulous start to your week!

Today is my parent's 47 year wedding anniversary!!! I just love them (of course I do , they are an awesome couple!

It is also my son-in-law's birthday today!

Oh well, the camping in the backyard started well but didn't last. About 1 am my 8 year old woke me up to tell me she was cold so I let her go to her bed. Less than an hour later my 7 year old did the same thing. I wound up sleeping on the couch because I didn't want to wake up the Mrs. I promised them we would try again in the spring when the nights would not dip into the 40's and they had no problem waiting until then.

we did the same thing with our kids when they were younger w/ the same result! lol

you know how allergies are cm3, it comes & goes. now that we have the a/c on & windows down the headaches aren't as bad! thank you for asking. you are so kind!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a wild weather week here in central Indy with temperatures all over the place. Today it looks like a high of 60. I am dragging this morning. I stayed up and watched the christmas shows on HSN from midnight to 3am before I went to bed. Then I had to get up at 7am and help my neighbor take the backseat out of his minivan. I see a nap in my future. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to go grocery shopping and work on some school reading and case scenarios. I got a B on my quiz last week, so I was happy about that. Always can do better, but for not taking one for oh, about 17 years, I was happy!

congrats on the test. girl let me tell you that's something to be proud of! when i was taking real estate classes it was bad. i kept thinking they were trick questions because they weren't worded as they were when i studied. no tricks just me being.....

Good morning everyone.... What a busy weekend. We had a blast, we went pumpkin picking, added more decorations to the outside on Saturday, we also walked around this town on the North Fork of Long Island called Greenport, NY very old town here on LI, we had so much fun. We had Snicker's and boy is she a ham bone when we go to towns like that!!! We watched the Yankee's lose Saturday night (boo hoo), and we watched the Giants win on Sunday (wooo hooo). We had my BIL over and we BBQ it was so nice out. We had bought some new lights for the outside some "bat - lights" they are too cute. I took some pictures but haven't downloaded them yet.

I am starting to do my menu for Thanksgiving, we do not tend to alter too much, but I do try to add one or two new things to the menu. I am also testing a few new recipes for Christmas, I like to add to my cookies I do each year, so I think I may hit our recipe threads and see what everyone is whipping up. I was in Home Depot and they had their Christmas Display stating to go up I was very happy to see that, I always like to pick up a few boxes of lights (you can never have too many lights you know!!!!

i was really bummed to hear of Derick Jeter breaking his ankle saturday night. i love my Yanks!

I have the whole week off from babysitting my grandkids but my mom and I want to get to the State Fair of Texas before it's over so we plan to pick up the kids this week and take them. This is the kind of fun I LOVE having with them!!! More fun when I get the kids on "my time", not wake up at the crack of dawn and have them for up to 11 hours a day. cheesy That really wears me down sometimes but it's not that bad, we have fun too!

i understand what you said about cramped. the big stores don't bother to move anything out just bring the Christmas in & pack the stores.

hubby wasn't sure he would get off to go to the ring ceremony for daughter tonight but he surprised us & is here now.

daughter is busy primping, i'm almost ready, my oldest son has to work & can't go but Seth is going. now to get hubby up to get ready....

cooked supper early but we are having crowder peas w/ supper & i didn't want us to eat & then....well you know what they say about beans. hehehe! we will wait until we get home later & eat.

there's something daughter was saying about a tradition to "lock" your class ring after you get it. her grad year is 2014, 13 different peeps will turn her ring 1x around away from her heart & the 14th(because of graduating in 2014) will turn it towards her heart & it will stay then. she wants her brother Seth to lock it.
