Good afternoon everyone!

I didn't visit yesterday. Sorry for that. I don't even have time right now to read the posts on the forums either. Sorry for this as well. My mom arrived late Thursday afternoon and we have been very busy since. Yesterday, we spent the entire day attempting to get into the pit at the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert. Oh, my goodness. What a show! In order to get into the pit, we needed to be at least 500 numbers away from the randomly drawn number at 4:45 pm. We arrived at 1:30. Our numbers were 194-6 (Kim, myself and my mom - in that order). The number 461 was drawn. There were only 704 bracelets given out, which meant that we were within the final 60 to get into the pit! Incredible! We were about six rows back in the centre from The Boss!

I'll attach a few photos here for your viewing pleasures. I'm sure there must be a few people on here that are fans of the legend as well. I must say... He put on the greatest show I have ever witness. Even at 63 - not that its old - he could still move like someone in their prime. The energy he exuded and filled the arena with was unsurmountable. Ottawa is known as a fairly relaxed crowd, but for the first time I have ever seen, Bruce had everyone out of their seats and dancing. The three of us had the time of our lives.

Highlights included the three of us helping Bruce crowd surf from the catwalk back to the stage during Hungry Heart! My mom was freaking out because she finally touched the "man of her dreams," I was excited that I carried him for a few seconds... and then Kim was thrilled that she "touched/grabbed Bruce's butt!" It was a great experience. I loved it.

I am still in awe of this show. Wow. More good news... I'm heading to the Rideau Centre today. Maybe Christmas will finally be "blossoming" in Ottawa. Time will tell! Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone!!

So didn't get much Christmas shopping done Thursday but have a fair few ideas about what to get people now, also London is all booked can't wait to go now

OMG! I'm so glad you had such an epic night ~ thank you for sharing the pix with us!!!

Wow, last night we got rocked with some serious storms last night. I work on the 4th floor of the building and was working a little late when all of sudden bam... it hit, the lights started flickering, the building was shuttering, and for a few seconds, I thought the windows were going to blow in. The weather channel had issued a tornado warning, but I was not aware of it and so I got startled big time... Lucky it passed North of us and what I felt was just the thunderstorm portions. Here is a little clip from one of our local weather channels:

BALTIMORE –

Fast-moving severe thunderstorm cells dumped heavy rain and hail along the Interstate 83 corridor in Baltimore County before moving along to northwestern Harford County early Friday evening, prompting a tornado warning for about an hour.
The National Weather Service indicated that a radar-indicated tornado moved northeast at 30 mph in the Jarrettsville area of Harford County. The tornado was not immediately confirmed.

11 Insta-Weather PLUS Chief Meteorologist Tom Tasselmyer said the storm continued upper-level winds ranging from 80 to 100 mph
.

All I can say is wow, for a few minutes, I was a little nervous. Needless to say, my plans for putting up additional Halloween decorations outside last night, was just a bit cancelled....

Well, hope everyone has a nice and relaxing weekend, me, I'm back at the office... "hey, gotta to get it while you can...Christmas will be here before we know it..."lol.

I'm glad you are all right!

Sounds like you guys had a great time!!!! Great Pics!!!!

Well I took my niece's to the craft fair that my sister had a booth at today and managed to pick up a new ornament. Nothing fancy just a wooden star. While we were there my oldest niece wanted to say with her mommy. So my sister let her stay and help since they weren't real busy. So me and my youngest niece went to the dollar store since she kept crying that she wanted to go somewhere else. Now we are back home and she is watching Friday the 13th. It's to scary for me, but she seems to be enjoying it. LOL!!!!

Good evening!
We just saw a movie - a bad one.

I wanted to see my new Christmas Vacation in Blu-Ray,
but Thomas thinks we should 'save it' for later (closer to Christmas...)
(I don't think I can... Maybe I can see it when he has gone to bed? LOL
And again (of course) with him later, and then one more time...)

Right now he has found a Christmas radio station (VTuner)
on our TV and is playing Christmas music - LOAD to me =]

Christmas music makes me so HAPPY! :-D Yay!

So, what is happening here? Having fun? I hope you do!

The weather man said this evening that it will snow next week!
Thursday to Sunday! I hope he's right!!

:snowball: I guess you all will come here and dance in the snow with me?
