good evening y'all! we had a very nice day here @ home. i got lots of things done that no one ever wants to do. whew!

i was talking to hubby earlier about next week being when we are suppose to begin our decorating. he was shocked how time is flying by so quickly. he did say that he has to shampoo the carpet before we begin so we may end up having to wait till the next weekend. by the time we were all done w/ prep work it would be then anyway so it just bumps us back a few days.

our Panthers lost today. BUMMER!
i'm going to watch a little tv now. good night!:smile:

FIL passed away this afternoon; we got the news just a few minutes ago. Mr. is on his way down there now before the mortician arrives. Mr. and his family all had some quality time with him toward the end, playing his favorite music on the iPad and holding his hand. Yesterday he could barely speak, but he managed to say, "Tough old man." He certainly was. God rest his soul. Thank you all for your prayers during his long final illness.

(((Merry)))) I am so sorry to hear about Mr.'s dad. You will be in my prayers as well as all your family. I do not know how you believe, but please know that your FIL is now no longer sick.......xo

That's a great idea---a mix of colored lights and white lights is gorgeous. We bought a pre-lit tree that was white lights, and we spent an entire evening replacing some of the white bulbs with colored bulbs. The effect was worth it.

That is one of my very FAVORITE movies also with Glenn Ford, I loved him too !! xo

We went to Toys R Us to shop for a baby shower gift for our friend. We also had the boys go around and give us ideas for Christmas, now we know what we are getting them. We went to BK for lunch and stayed there for a while so the boys could play on the playground, while we were there, another woman was there with her sons and mother. We were talking and she comes over to me and asked me if my name was Ronnie, I said yes. She then said she was our next door neighbor when I was age 1-8, she was/is a year older than me and I was over her house almost everyday to play as kids. We had a love/hate relationship as kids, but once again someone from distant past has shown up out of the blue. Her mother watched my sister and I all the time, we had dinners, birthday parties, etc... together. How strange is that twice in one week I see someone I haven't seen in nearly 30 years?

Sorry to hear that . but its better for him hes safe in gods arms and outta pain and so glad you and hubby had that bit of tiime with him

today...Kandice has her first sick day off school....she has not been feeling well the whole of last week...I will rather keep her home from school for two days now...instead putting her to school and she will be sick for an entire week after that.........the good thing for Kandice.......her teacher is sick too (not so nice for the teacher)....so there will be an substitute teacher...and Kandice won´t miss too much in school
