Glad to hear that your Dad is getting released Sugar. How's the rest of the family? Still praying for you guys.

My neighbor just got back from voting and said that the line was wrapped around the parking lot of the school. So I guess I better change something a little warmer before I leave here in a few.
been listening from time to time the election talk, it is great so many are heading to the polls!

I was able to pick up Arthur Christmas at the Redbox, so now we have our movie for tonight, since it will be political overdose today. I showed JP how to vote and explained to him how important it truly is, and when he turns 18 one of the first things he should do is register to vote. I don't want him to be like my father who is proud of the fact he has never voted in his life, and he is in his 60's. I have voted in nearly every election I could since I was 18.
I will be putting away the Halloween decor today, and...wait for it.... putting up some Christmas decor!!!!! My wife asked me this morning when I was putting up the trees, I told her soon, (I wonder if I could get them out now. mwahahahaahaha!) probably next week though.

Have a great Tuesday!!!
I want to get it, hoping to get over and purchase it tomorrow.

Good Evening!

I'm so glad the election soon is over.
It's been all over the news for weeks...and we live in NORWAY!
This country would have voted for Obama Im sure, and everyone thinks he is going to win...
(haven't heard 1 positive word about Romney)

ME? Im all about Christmas Im so ready!
And it's Christmas in every store now, so FUN shopping!!!

I hung up some Christmas lights here, and I think I will hang up my
Christmas door wreath this week too! (with lights on - love it!)

Hope everyone is fine!?
I have to cath up here!!

You are always in my thoughts and prayers!

It was cold and dreary today. I would much rather be at home with a mug of hot cocoa and a good Christmas movie, but oh well. Stuck at work :-( I have to fight through traffic to get home tonight and I'm not happy about it!!

I made a BIG boo-boo! It was Holiday who came up with the Calvin Coolidge quote. Sorry about that!

 NO WORRIES!!!!
:give:

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope this finds all of you well!

No time to catch up as I am without internet yet as I still haven't gotten my new modem. Store work is keeping me very busy ~ so many little items are going out in the next month or so. It always surprises me how long it takes to tag everything. The buffet sold ~ so happy it did and yet a part of me really wanted to keep it. It was such a nice piece!

My self-imposed break is over. Boy, that went too fast!

Take care everyone ~ you are in my thoughts and prayers! Have a MERRY day!

I voted at lunch. I got right in & right out! One of the advantages of living in small town. Lol!!

I'm glad you had a little time to check in & let us know you are still around! Havea good day!!!

Good day everyone! I've done my civic duty today and voted--tonight I hope to go to an Election Day communion service. (This is a movement started by two Mennonites and an Episcopalian, who were all very troubled about the animosity between people of differing political opinions. The idea is that after the vote, more than 800 churches across the country will host communion and reconciliation services for any and everyone who cares to come. It's something I believe in very strongly, because at the end of the day, one group of people aren't fascists and the other group aren't traitors, they're both mostly basically decent people who have different ideas about what's good for the country.) I hope at some point to get caught up on the Christmas Countdown thread today as well. So, here's hoping everyone's doing well, and if you're in the USA, eligible to vote, and haven't yet--please go vote! Happy Day, all!

Good morning everyone!

Cold seems to be the theme across the continent today. It was about -5c (22f) on my walk to the bus. We should only reach a high of about 3c (37f). A few degrees below normal. Still no snow in the (extended) forecast though. The days with precipitation appear to be the warmer days when we reach double digits/lower 50s. It's still the beginning of November though. The snow doesn't usually settle until mid-December.

For some reason, I was exhausted last night. I fell asleep on the couch for about 30 minutes at 9:30. Then, I was off to bed just after 10:30. I took last week (sans Saturday) off from the gym, so I think my body wasn't ready to expend all that energy just yet. It was a good workout, however. I am still getting my knee back to 100%. It took a bit of a hit while I was playing on it in Florida. Right now, though, it feels better than it did before I went down. So, I'm thinking another two weeks and I will be able to return to my regular gym routine. I can't wait for that. The squats, deadlifts, cleans, etc. are taunting me each time I go into the gym!

In exactly a week's time, we will all be rejoicing in the Christmas Season. It will be a wonderful experience to say the most magical and heartfelt phrase, once again. The special posts will certainly add some extra magic as we head down the homestretch into the Season.

Tonight is election night in the US. And even Canadians will be tuning in to see what happens. I used to hate politics. I still do. Most of all, I hate politicians. However, I will say good luck to all those who are voting down south today. Make your voice heard and make sure that you have full confidence in your candidate.

I must return to work now. It is my final day here. I have nothing lined up quite yet for the upcoming weeks. Those 100 applications/resumes I have sent in over the past couple months must have all been tossed to the wayside. It is just sad because they want to keep me, but have no option to do so. Thank you, Conservative Party of Canada! Please, continue to raise your own salaries and make it impossible for the young professionals/recent graduates to start a career.

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! May you Christmas continue to "blossom" where you are!

Praying that you are able to get a really good PERMANENT job xo

Now that's a good idea! In fact, better idea than I've heard most politicians come up with!
