What a day !!! I am glad to report that my Hermione had a bad tooth and that the doctor found it and got it out. It was actually behind another tooth sort of hiding. It was loose, the doctor said and there was just a little infection but it is out now.

I am so tired just from the stress. But better days ahead....

I still can not believe my eyes but as I was walking Buster tonight I saw a Christmas tree through a house window!! In our neighborhood!!!! Nobody here ever puts up their tree this early! OH how I love it!!! So pretty & so fun to see!!! I'll be walking by their house again tomorrow night...

it was bonfire night in the UK last night, i really love it. we always have such a great night. once we get halloween and bonfire night out the way, it becomes "acceptable" to talk about christmas, so as you can imagine, i haven't shut up all day!!!

Hello everyone. I noticed this morning that some folks are having some medical issues so I'll be praying for you all! Seems like too much of that going around recently. I was called up to the hospital over the weekend by a lady in my congregation. Her best friend's son was in a horrible auto accident and they were about to remove the life support. They don't have a church, so they asked if someone would just be willing to pray with them. Seeing a situation like that makes me thank God for everything I have and realize just how fragile life can be.
Okay...didn't mean to be depressing...but know I'm praying for all of you who might be struggling with things right now.

Good morning, Christmas family! How are you all? I am well. Relaxing here on the site, then I need to get some things done.

DH is working and the kids are at preschool/daycare, so I am going to try to be productive today. I plan on going to vote, go do some shopping, do some online shopping, then wrap some Christmas gifts. I am also going to make a homemade chicken potpie for dinner.

Just wanted to update everyone: my dad will either be discharged home from the hospital today or tomorrow. He will be coming home on Lovenox, which is a blood thiner in a form of a shot and he will be on that short term, but then he will remain on Coumadin the rest of his life, since this is his 3rd blood clot. Thank you all for your continued prayers. Prayers work and God has truly watched over my family!

What is everyone else up to today? I hope you're all having a great week so far and your weekend was wonderful. I am trying to be better about checking in, but it has been so hetic here. I promise to try to better. I miss you guys so much!

Oh yeah, I know our friends down along the coast in New Jersey and New York don't want to hear this, but they are saying we may get some snow tomorrow, I am excited, and my boys are too, possibly 3 inches. It will make it feel very Christmassy!!!!

It was cold and dreary today. I would much rather be at home with a mug of hot cocoa and a good Christmas movie, but oh well. Stuck at work :-( I have to fight through traffic to get home tonight and I'm not happy about it!!

Good day everyone! I've done my civic duty today and voted--tonight I hope to go to an Election Day communion service. (This is a movement started by two Mennonites and an Episcopalian, who were all very troubled about the animosity between people of differing political opinions. The idea is that after the vote, more than 800 churches across the country will host communion and reconciliation services for any and everyone who cares to come. It's something I believe in very strongly, because at the end of the day, one group of people aren't fascists and the other group aren't traitors, they're both mostly basically decent people who have different ideas about what's good for the country.) I hope at some point to get caught up on the Christmas Countdown thread today as well. So, here's hoping everyone's doing well, and if you're in the USA, eligible to vote, and haven't yet--please go vote! Happy Day, all!

funny thing is on my road @ 1 end there's a lady who puts her Christmas out the 1st weekend in November & i'm @ the other end w/ mine up. she usually beats me to it by a few days. our house is so far off the road i don't think anyone can see us & our road is so long i don't think anyone would notice both.

I saw this was released today and couldn't help myself. Obviously, I already have the DVD, but I had to jump at the opportunity to own The Muppet Christmas Carol on Blu-Ray. It's one of my top three Christmas movies, so I need it in the clearest quality possible. It's hard to believe it has been 20 years since its release already.
