Hi all 
Last night I made my stuffing and set the turkey to brine, today I will make the apple pie, peal my turnip, and clean the green beans...
Hope everyone is doing well, I fear I will never catch up this week but I don't want to miss what has been going on...

Hello ... The day before Thanksgiving, at last/already! Looking forward to the parade, the feast, and some movies tomorrow. (In our house, we can celebrate ANYTHING with movies. We have something for every occasion.) At the office one of our difficult clients is insisting on numerous changes to a huge project she already approved, so even though the office is closing early, it may be a full day for me and some others, unless the account guy can talk her into waiting until after the holiday.
My Christmas cactus is starting to bud! It usually does right around Thanksgiving. I started three little baby cactuses from cuttings a couple years ago, and I'm giving them as gifts this year. They aren't budding yet, though.
One of my favorite nighttime relaxers ...

I will be spending the day baking ~ lots of fun, but I do hate the clean-up afterwards. The house will smell wonderful! We are not having turkey tomorrow ~ I've decided on mustard chicken, rice almondine, garlic mashed potatoes (a request of my brother's), broccoli, an artisan loaf of bread I just found a recipe for and a tomato and corn salad. For dessert there will be pumpkin pie with a graham cracker crust as I do not like pie crust. I also have to do something with the bananas I have ~ they are definitely ripened! If there is time, I might make a cookie bar ~ someone (shh, don't tell him I said so, but it was my brother!) seems to have eaten all the cookies I made the other day :grin:

Good evening, Christmas family
I went to bed at 9 tonight because I am so exhausted then I couldn't sleep. So.......I am up again. I have the Hallmark channel on, I think the movie, Christmas Song, is on. What does everyone think of the movies for 2012 so far on Hallmark ?? They are okay to me, but not quite as good in years past. Of course, we haven't seen them all yet. Soon, hopefully there will be Christmas on all the channels. I agree with Xmas though, I wish there were a Christmas station 24/7 365 days a year on TV !!
All my kids are asleep..Hermione, or as I call her 'Mione is asleep up against me. Wish is under a blanket on the couch, Clancy has the loveseat all to herself. As per usual I am not sure where the kittes are .........They are skulking about somewhere though. It is only 11 days until my annual trip to my dear sister's house to decorate. I cannot believe how quickly time is flying.
Work is a little scary right now. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, the dictation is getting scarce due to doctors taking vacation, etc. I have been through this a gazillion times before. It will be okay but it is rather stressful not knowing if there will be enough work.....Hopefully next week all will be back to normal for a little while.

It's going to be a busy day here at the office, and then I'm going to go home and relax by baking some pumpkin pies and putting up window lights. Then it'll be time to pack for our trip! I'm really looking forward to getting away for a few days.

Good morning! Happy Thanksgiving Eve. Happy Pines Day!!!!! The Holidays have exploded....been so darn busy, as Im sure you all have too! I was hoping to catch up, but I think it's going to be impossible!
I'm at work until 3:30 today, then heading home to finish cooking & cleaning. Tonight we head to my friends from high school for a get together. I honestly don't have time to leave the house tonight, but I'll go for awhile anyway. Tomorrow morning we have a turkey trot at our house. We have around 25 people who have said they are coming. Could be the biggest crowd ever. I made pumpkin fudge & I still have to make Hungry Girl Caramel Pumpkin muffins to go with the coffee after the trot! We go to my hubby's parents for lunch tomorrow. I am bringing meatballs & pumpkin trifle. We go to my sisters for supper tomorrow night & I am bringing pumkin trifle, sausage dressing & a mexican dip. I have also made a dip that my brother Mike always brought. It is called "Mikes Made up Mish Mash" MMMM - mine won't be as good as his but thankfully he shared his "recipe" with me one time!
SO - IF I don't make it back here, I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. Safe travels to all who are traveling! I hope you all get to enjoy some time with family &/or friends! So much to be thankful for! :smile:

I've returned after a day's absence. While at work, I had to study for my interview yesterday. I didn't have much free time to do anything else. Anyway, the interview did not go as well as I had hoped, but it was a growing experience. I thought I was prepared, but I need to be more prepared next time.
Happy 'Pines Day! We're already at the second 'Pines Day of the Christmas Season... and the final 'Pines Day before Thanksgiving. Carl will have no choice but to bring out the Christmas decorations next week!
It's a good thing that the decorations are up... The forecast calls for highs to reach 10c (50f) tomorrow and Friday. We should be returning to normal on Saturday and Sunday, however. Although I'm excited for snow, it will come when it comes.
Not a whole lot happening today. No real news. I hope everyone has a wonderful 'Pines Day. To my American friends, preparing for tomorrow's Thanksgiving Day celebrations. I'm sure you will all make it wonderful! Merry Christmas!
